My mother age 63 has undergone angioplasty 3 years back. Now she has a problem in her tooth, doctor has suggested her for root canal. Before proceeding with the root canal doctor asked her to stop clopilet tablet for a week so that he can give related tablets and do his treatment. I requested you to provide your assistance. None medicine is required while doing a RCT if done properly. Sometimes there is need of any particular medicine but that too very rare. Also no medicine needed to be stopped as such and also must not without proper consent from the cardiologist. Approach your cardiologist soon and take his advice.

Usually for tooth extractions or oral surgical procedures sometimes it is required to stop medication but for RCT usually no medication has to be stopped. The doctor might prescribe antibiotics or painkillers. You must consult your cardiologist.
