Does anal stricture anyway related with anal sphincter muscle? I am suffering from anal stricture (fibrosis) due to previous piles surgery. The anal hole has become too small and I am having obstructed bowel movements, narrow stools. I am thinking for stapler surgery as suggested by my surgeon. Is stapler surgery safe or not? Does it affect anal sphincter muscle anyway? Or doing stapler surgery causes more stapler strictures? Please guide in detail.

If it's anal canal stenosis, stapler may not help. You need examination and anal dilatation, may be under anaesthesia.
