Hello, I was diagnosed with bacterial infection inside the tissue of scrotum. Shown to a urologist who prescribed antibiotic for 2 days by infection was not subsided and doctor admitted me and surgically removed abscess from scrotum. But no stitches were put to drain put puss and dress it. 3 days this cleaning was done and 4th day discharged. As there was healing and only dressing was done for 2 days. Since it has to be fully healed doctor advised me to sit it saline salt water for 15 minutes 2 times for some days. I was on antibiotic for 7 days. After that doctor seen it and advised me that it's healing slowly and it may take some time to heal completely. After 15 days of operation also I am having slight pain and discomfort there. Wound still looks reddish. Pain also there on movements. I am still doing siting in saline water and cotton pad to cover it.. My normal activities are affected. No antibiotic or dressing with medicine. I need an advice from a surgeon in regard to open surgical healing and time period for full healing. I am not a diabetic. I am under stress because of this. Kindly give me an advice on this process and things to be followed by me.
