I have started taking metformin 500 mg bd as per gynaecologist for last 10 days. My question is if I should take this during periods or stop it .Please Suggest.

Metformin, marketed under the trade name Glucophage among others, is the first-line medication for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, particularly in people who are overweight. It is also used in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome. Talk to your gynecologist. Take care.
