Doctor, my baby is 1.3 months old. He is suffering from indigestion for the last 2 days. During this period he has vomited once and passed not so watery and not so thick stool three times. Can I give Zn20 suspension 5 ml for 14 days?

If a mother has given exclusive breastfeeding then there is no chance of outside infection and if the baby during this period passes stool 7 to 8 times per day semisolid yellowish colour then it is totally normal and exclusively breastfed child usually passing stool 6-7 time semisolid stool per day to sometimes once in 4 to 5 days also. Your pediatrician will examine the baby and at certain whether the baby requires zinc supplement or not also ZN 20 if given by suspension it is 2.5 ml once a day for 14 days In digestion of the baby is mainly due to gas which the baby ingests during feeding. It is important to do adequate burping so that all the extra gas is removed from the stomach I usually advised to do burping for at least 15 to 20 minutes. There is no need to give any medicines for digestion in an infant less than 6 months of age.
