My skin is very dry and during the winters patches of dry scaly skin starts developing especially near the elbows and the upper legs. Last year too I suffered from this disease. Consulted a doc and took medications and it got better. But now again with the advent of winter it has started occurring again. Please suggest me what to do and what is this disease?

If you haven't done so, consistently applying white petroleum jelly several times in a day helps keep the skin moist during winters.
