Hello, I think smoking is a bad idea in your case as your body is responding in a way that makes irritation in your throat. I guess you started smoking recently.

Hi when you smoke you cough. This is due to the irritation of the respiratory mucosa by the soot of the smoke, hence to get rid of this try quitting smoking regards.
