Hi lybrate-user, Irregular brushing technique with a worn off brush will certainly cause the tooth abrasion, gums to recede & thereby resulting in root exposure. Exposure of (dentin or cementum) layer of the tooth or trauma to the root nerve tissue causes Sensitivity or pain. Adv cleaning and artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment with a cap for deep abrasion. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Apply a desensitizing paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Treatment required is need cleaning, desensitizing procedures artificial enamel filling and / or root canal treatment. Overlapping also cause pain due to pressure exert on other tooth.
