Lybrate-user taking 30 min everyday for exercise is possible if you manage your time. Since you are busy so I would say take extra care of food what you eat, because when food is taken without daily exercise, it become obvious to gain weight, eat heavy breakfast, normal lunch and very light breakfast, if you want to lose weight in just 2 months start a habit not to eat dinner after sunset and you will miraculously lose weight. Thanks.

HI…reason behind obesity is decreased BMR (BASAL METABOLIC RATE), 1) so question is HOW BMR DECREASED…. BMR is mainly depends upon functions of LIVER, THYROID, PANCREASE, and PITUITORY GLAND, A) hypo- functions of these organs reduces BMR and body becomes obese, B) hyper- functions of these organs increases BMR and body becomes lean, C) so if you want to reduce weight then we have to increase BMR, D) so to increase BMR follow few basic things, 1) take solid food two times in a day only, 2) try to take diet which is easy to digest and according to quantity of hunger, 3) eat those fruits only which increases power of digestion and which easily digests LIKE…grapes, pappya, orange, pomgrenate, sweet lime, pineapple, watermelon, muskmelon, strawberry, mulberry, 4) strictly avoid fruits which are hard to digests like banana, guava, custardapple, chiku, jackfruit, 5) Try to take soups of green gram, lentil, horse gram, 6) try to take meals inbetween 10 am to 9 pm, 7) when you take meal do not eat anything for minimum 4 hours…. Dear lybrate user, one of the major nutritional substance required for human body is carbohydrate. We take carbohydrate in the form of rice, wheat, sugar etc. The complex molecules of carbohydrate are broken down into simple glucose molecules during digestion & released in the blood stream to be absorbed by the muscle cells. Muscle cells utilise the glucose molecules to release energy by breaking down those glucose molecules. Insulin hormone plays a vital role in the absorption of the glucose molecules by the muscle cells. In abnormal conditions, either due to less production of insulin or due to resistance to insulin, the process of absorption of glucose by the muscles comes to a stand still. The glucose molecules remains in the bloodstream which results in the increase in the blood sugar level. The failure of utilisation of the glucose molecules by the muscle cells results in production of less energy than normal condition. This is externally manifested as the fatigue & tiredness of the patient. This excess amount of blood sugar compels the kidney to function more than normal level in order to excrete the blood sugar molecules through urine. As a result the patient suffers from frequent urination. This abnormal condition is clinically known as diabetes mellitus. Once a patient is diagnosed with diabetes he has to take regular medicine to keep his blood sugar level within normal limits. However, the patient does not need to take medicine unless his/her post. Prandial blood sugar level reaches 200. If post. Prandial blood sugar level reaches 200 then patient can take homoeopathic mother tincture gymnema sylvestra q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. Along with intake of medicines the patient need to walk at least 1 hour daily without any interval. In order to decrease the intake of carbohydrate in diet the patient should avoid rice, sweet dishes, fruits, cold drinks, fast foods, alcoholic beverages, potato etc.

There is too much stress getting transferred to your knees because of your body weight. Reduce your body weight. Do brisk walking atleast 1 hour a day. If you recently added weight, get a physician opinion and tests to rule out hormonal problems.

Hello, Lybrate user, It's your 9 th month of pregnancy, almost,movement of baby should once in a day or more. You can not feel pain in umbilical cord & uterus, rather than pain in neval region may occure. You might be suffering from gastric disorder, too which is very much common in pregnancy. Please, go for a NST test. Maintain intake of proteine, calcium,Iron till the delivery of the baby as per instruction of your gynae, of,course. B stress free with regards to your delivery. Tk, plenty of water to hydrate your body & to condition the amniotic - fluid, properly. Tk your diet, easily digestible, on small intervals. Tk homoeo medicine, if you so require: @ Rhus tox 200-6 pills, dly morng. Avoid, junk food, pizza,burger, cookies. Always be in touch of your gynae wish you a normal delivery of a healthy baby. In the era of fast living, people mostly have a great desire to stay fit and look young. Every one of us consciously or subconsciously has made their own definition of “DIET”. Dieting has led to many unhealthy misconceptions about weight loss. People are, on an average, not aware or one can say largely ignorant about Healthy and Unhealthy foods, quantities to be taken and which food items to be encouraged and which to restrict. All this mainly depends on an individual's state in terms of his/her body structure, metabolism, lifestyles, ailments / diseases. It is good to see, there is tremendous zeal among people to stay fit but for that, there is a requirement to have correct information about fitness methods and its effects and results. With today’s trend of losing weight I have a lot of patients who have the urge to know "Which food items to encourage in the diet and which ones to restrict? Or "What is best suited for me and what is not? Or “what is the ideal weight loss?”. With this article I am trying to cover the most commonly asked questions: Does dieting mean an absolute change in the eating pattern and appear weak and look starved? By dieting everybody obviously means, eating less. This concept should be changed. Dieting actually means eating correctly, large quantities of the right foods and small quantities of the wrong foods. When you eat in this pattern there will be no side effects. It is not completely changing the eating pattern, but a certain addition of foods to nourish bodies so that they are no deficiencies like anemia, and being completely fit, far from being starved and weak. How important is it to exercise for weight loss? Exercise is a fabulous way and meant to relax, tone body and to improve stamina and not exactly lose weight. You might lose few kilos but to get the results it has to be combined with right kind and amount of food. One needs to understand the right kind of exercise depending upon individual’s requirement, i.e. Age, injuries, and lifestyle. Over-exercise which is done to lose weight faster in most cases leads to frustration and injuries. Including the exercise regime is very important and should be done but in moderation and depending on your requirement. Are foods like mint, lemongrass, cumin seed (jeera), harmful for health? Since ancient times foods like jeera, coriander, mint is been used in daily life. Even the health practitioners use garlic and onion to lower the cholesterol, methi seeds and bitter gourd [karela] is used for diabetics. Certain foods act as a “delicious natural capsules” to detoxify, the body, but to understand that the health professional should know the action of the specific food on individuals body as ‘One man’s food can be another man’s poison’ – and effect of food and drug upon the body differ greatly between individuals. How many meals should be eaten in a day? Whether you want to lose weight or not but one should have small and frequent meals to keep up the energy levels. This does not mean that you should keep eating the whole day. One should have 3 major meals i.e. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2small meals i.e. A mid-morning snack and evening snack to keep up your energy levels and to avoid overeating in the major meals. How much weight does an overweight or obese person should lose? It is not always important to be in height weight ratio. The amount of weight loss depends on certain factors like age, body structure, physical activity, illness. This is best decided by the professional. Lose weight to be healthy and disease free and not starved and malnourished. Does weight loss means stop eating and drinking and never getting back to normal life? It’s about your entire food habits, lifestyle, sleeping pattern, vitamin intake that influences your weight, skin, hair, nails etc. Everything in moderation is the key. Hard drinks can be taken 2-3 times a week, if you really must, totaling up to 4-5 drinks in a week. Are there specific foods that help in weight loss? There is no one food that decides weight loss. Losing weight means eating but foods like whole grains, rice, soybeans, fish, milk, curd, and eggs, so that you gain in health and lose in weight. Can the diet which works for one person affect the other person too? There is an ideal diet for a particular type of body constitution. Based on symptoms, your medical problems, your family history of medical problems, your lifestyle, a suitable diet can be designed which will suit your individual needs. The diet has to be designed to increase their energy levels and enhance immunity to handle stress and concentrate better. It is important to first identify body constitution and according to that derive a corrective-eating plan for each individual that covers all meals from morning to bedtime. With the diet, the complaints ranging from chipped nails, dull complexion, dark circles etc. Should vanish, and metabolism and hemoglobin should be improved. Healthy foods lead to sound health and these should be started from childhood. Lack of exercise, indulging in routine consumption of fast foods, etc leads to many health problems. The importance of diet in maintaining health should not be ignored. Since diet played a major role in controlling diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, etc, it is important to take regular diet counseling from a professional who can understand your body and design the right diet for you.

I am 58 years oid, weight 92 Kgs, Height 178CM. I go for morning walk daily for 5 Kms. Occasionally I swim in the evening. I have BP but is under control. For that I take ESLO 2.5mg in the morning. Hi take *alfa malt forte (medisynth) 1tablespoon to be taken twice a day during meals for 1mth *take grd powder 1tablespoon in 1 cup of milk, drink once a day the food you eat should be properly digested and absorbed then only you can gain weight as required. So these medicines will improve your digestion and also gaining weight. These medicines don't have side effects.

Usually alfalfa tonic is used to increase appetite and for weakness. If it is added with ginseng it also provide strength. It could be taken by any one who wants to gain body mass or for strength but it should be in right dose. One teaspoonful before meal is taken twice or thrice daily. Calcarea phos in 6x power provide calcium supplement to body. It should be taken as 4 tablet 4 times daily. If you want to take calcarea phos in 200 power take it under supervision of homeopathic doctor.

Hello, May be she might not be dieting in a good way. Thyroid medications might also be needed sometimes to manage it. Brisk walking or power yoga might help. Ensure she is following a healthy diet chart.

Hello you need not worry. You need to understand the concept of weight loss. It's a gradual process that requires cut down in calories under the guidance of a dietitian and regular exercise. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Avoid fried foods, sweets, carbonated drinks and processed foods. Include whole grains, sprouts, seasonal fruits and vegetables. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Drink plenty of water. Take flaxseed powder 1 tsp with lukewarm water on empty stomach. Take green tea 3-4 cups a day. Thank you.
