If complate tear of acl is diagnosis than operation is the only option in young age. If you avoid to operate this after some years you loose your knee due to damage of maniscus. I advise you do not delay this surgery.

My wife has pain in the right leg angle for last two months. She is not on medication. Her weight near 100 kgs. What is your advise?

Over weight is the main cause of her problem. Let her avoid the usual meals and depend only on salads and fruits. If not diabetic. Reduction of weight is compulsory. Further give acupressure with a pencil on blunt edge between the mid portion of the ankle bone and the tendons on either side of the leg. Repeat on the other leg also. Report after 5 days.

It is common to have some bakache in pregnancy. Please make sure there is no urinary infections. Back massages, calcium and vit d supplements should help. Also make sure she wears good supportive footwear during the day.

I am 21 years old I had a habit of cracking joints in knees shoulder elbow and more joints for almost 10 years. Now I have understand the consequence and not doing it. But whenever I move my body joints crack itself. Some saying its due to loss of synovial fluid. There is no pain when it pops. Please help me overcome this situation. I love playing tennis and it concerns me.

Take tab. sinarest it contains ( Acetaminophen+ Pseudoephedrine+ chlorpheniramine). Acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, and pseudoephedrine is a combination medicine used to throat infection and treat headache, fever, body aches, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and sinus congestion caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu. Do gargle with warm water thrice a day. Drink warm water also. Take plenty of water, liquid diet, dalia, green veg., orange. avoid cold things, avoid cold drinks. Avoid Oily foods. If symptoms are from more days or again persist then do few tests for confirm causes of it.. i.e. CBC. welcome in lybrate.

Hi It indicates, your back needs muscles toning and strengthening exercises under a physiotherapist. It's correctable with exercises, correct sitting posture under guidance of physiotherapist do hot fomentations, apply muscle relaxant gels locally and take pain meds for a short course best wishes.

you may have arthritis in knee. You need mri scan of your knee for better diagnosis. In between please do ice application and quadriceps -hamstring strengthening exercise.

Hi. These pains can easily be taken care of by micro correctional exercises. There are many factors which can cause the pains. Firstly according to the information provided by you about your height & weight, you are little overweight for your height. This is the most important cause for pains in heels. Secondly the postures we follow, go wrong for many years. That causes strain on the arch of the foot causing pain. After doing exercises properly, you will be pain-free in a week but after that you should pay attention to weight reduction. Have a happy healing. :)

I have slipped discs at l4-l5 n l5-s1 and tend to get a bit of acute pain at times when they get aggravated which gets better with rest and exercise. I had also been diagnosed with spondilolysthisis about 8 yrs back. For last few months I have developed a pain in my left knee. Earlier pain used to be mainly radicular pain. Could knee pain be related to slipped disc or would it be something different. I also have vit d deficiency. Any suggestions for dealing with knee pain?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. Your query mainly focuses on knee pain, if it is localised knee pain, then it should not be related to spine, and this may be a different issue. But if there is no swelling and signs of inflammation and h/o any injury present I would advise you to start with intensive physical therapy for knee mainly focusing on building up your quadriceps and hamstring muscles, hot fomentation 3-4 times in a day, take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body' s suitability and as you stated please supplement your calcium and vitamin d adequately. 1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% protein, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /6-8 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Avoid stress, anxiety, depression, agitation etc 6. Find time for relaxation and enjoyments with friends and family 7. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control emotion, improve concentration and relieve stress 8. Develop hobby, Learn new skill 9.Go for detail Annual Health check up

Dear lybrate user. Start with active stretching exercises daily for 30 min to 1 hour after hot fomentation and massage. If no relief visit a pain physician nearby and get yourself diagnosed. Take care.

Hi. This could be due to back sprain. Take rest. Avoid forward bending & heavy weight. Use lumbo sacral belt while walking & standing. Avoid prolonged standing & sitting on same place for hrs. Start gentle back care exercises. Can visit physiotherapy center for ultrasonic therapy & to learn proper exercises. TC.
