Hi = relax and stay positive. = increase fluid intake. = eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = do streching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = if you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = do check your calcium and vit. D = apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still you dont get relief consult physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation. Best wishes.

Numbness occurs due to compression of nerve may be at spine, lower back, shoulder, back of thigh etc which causes sensetion loss temporarily in legs, arms or foot etc. Reduce weight, always try to change position while sitting for long time.

My wife is having severe leg pain after the birth of my daughter, my daughter is now 2 & half year old, but my wife still cant walk with out walking aid. She is having maximum problem in inner thighs. She cant sit on floor and can only sit on dice that too with much difficulties, she can sleep properly, but getting turn while sleeping is also a challenge for her. Please help, her age is 39.

Hello Doctor , Sir ,i am 38 years old man , i am suffering from a lower waist pain since 15 days , actually i lifted my friend from a ground level and hurt my waist , and i hurt my ring finger of left hand while playing cricket , finger swelled from middle joint , went to physiotherepist also , he gave me wax bath and ultra sound but no relief , should i need to visit another doctor or you recommend me some other thing. what should i do ? Do you have tingling/numbness also in legs? u should see an orthopedic doctor and get mri done for back and xray for finger to rule out any bone injury.Then accordingly you should take physiotherapy treatment.Just take few precautions like bending forward and lifting heavy weights.

If she is having recurrent headache, she may be having migraine. Get her BP and hemoglobin checked. Consult neurologist to rule out other causes of headache and if migraine is confirmed she has to take migraine prophylactic drugs

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do Knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Disc bulge is a problem you should not ignore and it is serious too but it's symptoms and problems can be releived with proper back care, life style modification and regular exercises. If not done so it can be worsened.

Knee pain usually occurs due to weak muscle around your knee joint. People who are doing daily brisk walks, jogging and running are more likely to get knee pain so for that they should reduce to thrice a week and the other days can do recumbent cycling, swimming or cross trainer (elliptical cycle).
This actually reduce the load exerted on your knees and will give some rest from impact which occur due to jogging or brisk walking. Regular icing after such strenuous activities will also the minimize the risk of injuries to the knee joint.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There could be many reasons for numbness but usually it is a manifestation of an impingement of a nerve somewhere alonq its course. Can you please tell me, whether you have any neck pain, radiating upper limb pain, paresthesias etc? also do you feel any difficulty in grip, weakness, wasting of hand muscles etc? anyways I advise you to start with vitamin b 12 supplementation and medication for neuropathic supplementation like pregabalin or gabapentin in basic doses to start with. Do you have any comorbid conditions like diabetes, hypertension etc? please get back to me with answers so that I can advise accordingly. I had muscle strain while doing exercise in my left arm few years back maybe 2-3 years while doing indian push ups I heard lil bone braking sound near left elbow I showed it to a doc he said its minor as the arm was not swollen and gave me few tabs, volini spray I sprayed it, continued doing exercise like a fool for a month the pain didn't went so I switched to yoga it was better, but it still hurts if I sleep on left side (arm) in the morning for few hours & my arm is not as free as my right arm lil stiffness & pain is there. I have tried ice, nothing works.

Hi, pulls, sprains, and tears (all the same thing) range in severity. Depending on the severity of your strain, you may need to take anywhere from a few days to a few months off of exercise so that the muscle can heal itself. When you do head back to the gym, start with gentle bodyweight exercise as it help to heal better. According to information provided. Will suggest you to take break from exercises and give it relative rest and avoid lifting heavy objects or weight lifting exercise. Suggest you get it checked with orthopedician or physiotherapist. You may required x- ray. As some time hairline fracture go undiagnosed (as you heard breaking sound). Thabks and take care.

It shows that your bone are weak and you are lacking physical strength A number of factors can affect bone health. For example: •The amount of calcium in your diet. A diet low in calcium contributes to diminished bone density, early bone loss and an increased risk of fractures. •Physical activity---. People who are physically inactive have a higher risk of osteoporosis than do their more-active counterparts.----- •Tobacco and alcohol use. Research suggests that tobacco use contributes to weak bones. Similarly, regularly having more than two alcoholic drinks a day increases the risk of osteoporosis, possibly because alcohol can interfere with the body's ability to absorb calcium.---- •Size and age.--- You're at greater risk of osteoporosis. As you're having less weight as compared to your height (with a body mass index of 19 or less) because you may have less bone mass to draw from as you age. Also your bones will become thinner and weaker as you age.---- •You should get 1, 000 milligrams of calcium and 200 international units (IUs) of vitamin D a day. •Foods for healthy bones include Yogurt, Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Salmon, Spinach, Fortified Cereals, Tuna, Collard greens, and Orange juice

Dear Siddharth, namaskar, Spondylitis does not occur at this age....Sprain needs an injury to occur.....Your problem of pain in cold weather seems to be myalgia...Do hot fomentation and protect urself from cold by a muflar like cloth... Strengthen your muscles by doing Cervical spine exercises round the year OR at least when u don't have pain.... You will settle gradually... take care.
