I am 39 years old female my x ray reports says that I am having multiple intervertebral disc spaces C45 C56 suggesting cervical spondylosis. My problem is I am getting a pain on my left hand arm and left side of chest from last 5/6 months. I had done 2D Echo which is normal .I don't have thyroid and diabetic, even I have done vitamin and calcium test which is good. What to do why. Kindly advise.

This is cervical pain (neck pain) and that's the reason the pain radiates until the shoulder blades. If you keep ice that would help and along side you can do hot water fermentation. You shall use cervical collar which would help you to reduce the radiating pain ie. Due to the nerve compression.

To gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects

These are the methods to treat fastly pimples: • Imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Do YOGASANA daily. Especially do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day.

To soften rough hair, use fenugreek seeds. Powder the seeds and add water to make a thick paste. For visible results, apply regularly on the scalp for a month at least. You can also apply warm oil with lime and egg on the scalp. Wrap head in a warm towel. Leave until it cools and wash thoroughly. Repeat twice a week to soften hair.

Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

It is normal to lose about 30-80 strands of hair in a day. The common reasons behind hair fall are lack of essential nutrients in the body, improper and unhealthy dietary habits, hormonal imbalance, certain medications, dandruff, alopecia and other scalp disorders, stress and tension etc. Natural oils such as coconut, olive, jojoba, almond etc. Can be used to massage the scalp for countering hair fall. Gently massage the scalp prior to head bath twice a week. Also check hemoglobin for anaemia and thyroid status with serum tsh. Have more proteins and trace minerals like copper, zinc, selenium in diet. Start taking a hair nutrition supplement. Keep stress away with regular exercise, yoga, meditation. Get the underlying scalp condition like dandruff treated.

1.Take paracetamol 500mg, one tablet sos upto a maximum of three tablets daily after food 2.cold sponging Sos 3.Drink plenty of water 4.Take rest 4.If no relief do blood examination like ESR, CBC, Widal/ Typhidot test, Blood for mp/malaria antigen and Dengue antigen(NS1) test, urine Re/Me after consulting doctor 5. consult me for further advice

Your laziness is due to your weight and eating habits with lack of exercise. Our Daily energy requirements for proper functioning of our body is 1600-2200 K cal of Energy if we want to remain fit and healthy.But there is a misconception that weight is reduced by dieting.But weight is not reduced by only skipping our meals or prohibition from sugars but until we are not aware what are our body energy requirements ,it will be difficult to loose weight.If we restrict ourself from taking daily diet to 1100-1200 Kcalories ,and increases our workouts,only then we can think about reducing our weight and for that we must obtain proper knowledge of exact energy levels in a particular dish we are eating,only then we can achieve our target of reducing weight by means of simple mathematical calculation. Hye, thanks for the query. Being underweight can be a concern if it's the result of poor nutrition. Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, rice and cereals; fruits and vegetables; dairy products; lean protein sources; and nuts. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes. Snack on nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruits. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of cake or ice cream is fine. But most sweets should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Sheera, lassi and chikki are good choices. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite.

Your father's condition can be classified as pre diabetes also known as impaired glucose tolerance. He is at increased risk of developing frank diabetes. So for now life style modifications like low sugar and fat diet, daily 30-40 minute brisk exercise etc along with blood sugar check up at least every 6 months is recommended. If sugar level does not come down to normal range, prophylactic metformin regimen would be considered. Thank you.

Acne are common in this age group. These are due to hormone changes, infection and unhealthy diet take food with a high vitamin a, vitamin e and c contents. Drink lots of water. Regulate your daily activities, lower stress, increase sleep and do some yoga and exercise daily. Clindamycin gel in morning and nadoxin gel in night application will help. Medsoap for face wash.

Weight is not dependent on your age. It depends on your height. In your case (for 5 ft 5 inches height) you should be about 55 - 60 kgs. For that the first step is to work out. 45 minutes of either yoga or gym or cycling is recommended. Include plenty of proteins in your daily diet like - eggs, soya, pulses, sprouts, milk, panneer etc.
