How to stop the bubbles forming on the face and back due to the sweating. And how to reduce sweating? There will be a lot of irritation feel g on the back when I go back in to the sun light. Is there any solution for reducing the itching caused by thar problem?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
How to stop the bubbles forming on the face and back due to the sweating. And how to reduce sweating? There will be a...
Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a very real and embarrassing problem, but there are some effective ways to treat it. What Is Hyperhidrosis? Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a common disorder which produces a lot of unhappiness. An estimated 2-3% of people suffer from excessive sweating of the underarms (axillary hyperhidrosis) or of the palms and soles of the feet (palmoplantar hyperhidrosis). Underarm problems tend to start in late adolescence, while palm and sole sweating often begins earlier, around the age 13 (on the average). Untreated, these problems may continue throughout life. Sweating is embarrassing, it stains clothes, ruins personal contact, and complicates business and social interactions. Severe cases can have serious practical consequences as well, making it hard for people who suffer from it to hold a pen, grip a car steering wheel, or shake hands. Causes OF Hyperhidrosis:- Although neurologic, endocrine, infectious, and other systemic diseases can sometimes cause hyperhidrosis, most cases occur in people who are otherwise healthy. Heat and emotions may trigger hyperhidrosis in some, but many who suffer from hyperhidrosis sweat nearly all their waking hours, regardless of their mood or the weather. Antiperspirants This may be the first treatment that a dermatologist recommends. It is affordable. When applied as directed, an antiperspirant can be effective. Your dermatologist may recommend a regular or clinical-strength antiperspirant. Some patients need a stronger antiperspirant and receive a prescription for one. Iontophoresis (the no-sweat machine) If excessive sweating affects your hands, feet, or both areas, this may be an option. You will use this treatment at home. It requires you to immerse your hands or feet in a shallow pan of tap water. As you do this, a medical device sends a low-voltage current through the water. Many people obtain relief. Some people dislike that this treatment can be time-consuming. Uses: Hands and feet It works by the electric current shuts down the treated sweat glands temporarily. Side effects: Some people develop: •Dry skin •Irritated skin •Discomfort during treatment Prescription medicine Some patients receive a prescription for a medicine that temporarily prevents them from sweating. These medicines work throughout the body. However we cannot prescribe in open question answer session as a rule but you can ask in consultation. These medicines prevent the sweat glands from working. Athletes, people who work in a hot place, and anyone who lives in a warm climate should use extreme caution when using this treatment. The body may not be able to cool itself. Uses: These medicines can effectively treat sweating that involves entire body. This medicine also can be an effective treatment for post-menopausal women who sweat excessively only from their head. Side effects: The medicines that prevent the sweat glands from working can cause: •Dry mouth •Dry eyes •Blurry vision •Heart palpations (abnormal heartbeat) Surgery If other treatments fail to bring relief, surgery may be considered. Surgery is permanent and carries risks. The following surgeries can stop excessive sweating: •Surgically remove sweat glands •Sympathectomy A dermatologist can surgically remove sweat glands from the underarms. This surgery can be performed in a dermatologist’s office. Only the area to be treated is numbed, so the patient remains awake during the surgery. A dermatologist may use one or more of the following surgical techniques to remove sweat glands from the underarms: •Excision (cut out sweat glands) •Liposuction (remove with suction) •Curettage (scrape out) •Laser surgery (vaporize) Sympathectomy is another surgery used to treat hyperhidrosis. This is major surgery, which a surgeon performs in an operating room. During sympathectomy, the surgeon tries to stop the nerve signals that your body sends to the sweat glands. To do this, the surgeon will cut or destroy certain nerves. To find these nerves, the surgeon inserts a mini surgical camera into the patient’s chest just beneath the underarm. The patient’s lung must be temporarily collapsed so that the surgeon can cut or destroy nerves. Uses: •Surgical removal of sweat glands is used to treat the underarms •Sympathectomy is mainly used to treat the palms.

Get plenty of rest, especially while you have a fever. Rest helps your body fight infection. Stop smoking and avoid secondhand smoke, which can make cold symptoms worse Drink lots of fluids such as water and clear soups. Fluids help loosen mucus. Fluids are also important because they help prevent dehydration. Gargle with warm salt water a few times a day to relieve a sore throat. Throat sprays or lozenges may also help relieve the pain. Avoid alcohol. Use saline (salt water) nose drops to help loosen mucus and moisten the tender skin in your nose.

Vulval itching Itchiness of the vulva is almost never caused by a sexually transmitted infection, but is usually a result of thrush or a skin condition. The lips of the vulva (the labia) are covered by ordinary skin, so the area can be affected by conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. And sometimes only the vulval skin is affected, so the diagnosis may come as a surprise. The usual mistake with vulval itching is to assume that you have thrush, and keep on applying anti-thrush creams that you have bought from a pharmacy. This may actually worsen the condition, because you can become allergic to some of the ingredients. If an anti-thrush cream does not deal with the problem within a few days, or if the itching comes back, see your doctor. If you have a skin condition, and not thrush, you need the appropriate treatment. This section explains the most common causes of vulval itching and what you can do about them. And you can find more information about thrush and trichomoniasis in the section on genital infections. Thrush is a fungal infection caused by Candida albicans. About 1 woman in 5 has Candida in her vagina without it causing any symptoms. Hormones in the vaginal secretions and the friendly vaginal bacteria keep it at bay. But problems can arise when this natural balance becomes upset, and the Candida multiplies. Thrush does not always cause a discharge – the main symptom is itching or soreness, and this gets worse in the week before a period. If there is a discharge, it is usually only slight, does not smell and looks like cottage cheese. Trichomoniasis. Infection with Trichomonas vaginalis can be itchy. Psoriasis is a skin condition that can be extremely itchy when the genitals are involved. The skin usually becomes bright red, often with painful cracks. The affected area may extend to the groin and to around the back passage (the anus) and between the buttocks. Psoriasis on other parts of the body is scaly (check your scalp, knees and elbows), but in the vulval area it tends to be smooth. You can have psoriasis on the vulva without having it anywhere else on your body. Lichen sclerosus is another extremely itchy skin condition affecting the vulva. The itching is often so bad that it can affect a sufferer's sleep. It is most common around the menopause and in girls just before puberty, though it can occur at any age. Its cause is a mystery. The skin looks thin and pale, and the area around the anus may also be affected. If it is not treated, the lips of the vulva eventually shrink, the vaginal opening narrows and sex becomes painful and can tear the skin. Treatment of this condition is simple, and your doctor can prescribe a special steroid cream. Allergies and sensitivities can cause redness and itching. The vulval area seems to be very sensitive to chemicals, probably because the vulva is moist and warm conditions that favour the absorption of chemicals by the skin. It is possible to develop an allergy to almost any chemical substance that comes into contact with the vulva, such as may be present in: skin creams (including anti-thrush creams) perfumes in soaps, bubble baths, shower gels and shampoos disinfectants washing powders and fabric softeners clothing dye (especially yellow) self-adhesive sanitary pads deodorants (including ‘intimate’ ones). In the past, it was thought that the enzymes in bio washing powders were particularly likely to cause an itchy allergy, but this seems to be a myth (British Journal of Dermatology 2008; 158:1177–81). Excessive washing can irritate the vulval area. Older women who may find it difficult to get into a bath may worry about personal hygiene, with the result that they wash the area too much. There is no need to wash several times a day – once is sufficient. Vulval intraepithelial neoplasia is a condition that usually affects older women, and causes itchiness in only a small area. It occurs because the skin in that area has become abnormal. There is a risk that it could develop into a skin cancer of the vulva, so it is important to see your doctor if you suspect you have this condition. Cancer of the vulva is very rare, and tends to affect mainly older women; itching can be the first sign, or there may be a lump or a sore. Stress or anxiety can cause itching. When you are stressed or anxious, your nervous system is on alert, and small sensations can become amplified into unpleasant itching or even pain. So it is not imaginary, it is real. What you can do about vulval itching Start by trying to eliminate anything that could be causing an allergy or sensitivity – look at the dos and don’ts for vulval problems. Avoid swimming while you have the irritation – the chlorine may make it worse. If you have been applying cream from the pharmacy for more than 1 week, and you still have the problem, stop using it. You may have developed a sensitivity to one of the ingredients. If the itch is really bad, you may be scratching in your sleep, causing more damage. Keep your fingernails short and wear cotton gloves when you go to bed.

General Physician,
Feeling less erection. Wat can be done for happy sex life. Had some capsules in past feeling side effects.
A variety of things cause it. Some psychological and some physical,”"Psychological issues tend to affect younger men, such as first night nerves and so on. Often, these problems don’t persist. But there can be more serious psychological problems about sex that need the help of a psychosexual therapist.” Worries about work, money, your relationship, family, and even worrying about not getting an erection, can all be factors. Physical reasons for erectile dysfunction include: Medical conditions that cause erectile dysfunction •heart disease •diabetes •raised blood pressure •raised cholesterol: this can lead to clogging of arteries, including the arteries in the penis, which are very narrow (1-2 mm in diameter compared with around 10 mm in the heart artery) •low testosterone: testosterone levels fall as men get older, but not all men are affected by it. Those who are affected will have symptoms such as feeling tired and unfit, and loss of interest in (and inability to have) sex.

Hi,
I am 28/M years old. Suffering from Insulin resistance. please suggest best solution.
Weight reduction, controlled diet, regular exercise, avoiding high fatty foods, junk foods, pastries and other bakery items. Sweetened aerated drinks, fructose corn syrup containing products, highly processed products, alcohol and smoking, are few of the things which reduce insulin resistance. Looking at your weight and height, bmi is 25 kgs/m2, which is not very high. But if there is central obesity, then that contributes to insulin resistance. Reducing glucose level and bringing down body fat improves insulin action. Your waist should be <85 cms. You should exercise at least for 1 hour a day or a bit more.
