As per your question, you are aware that your wife has a lump in her breast. Going by the age, and if there is no family history of having cancer of either breast or ovary, all the probability is that it could be an harmless lump. Nevertheless, it has to be confirmed. It is suggested that you consult a surgeon for further evaluation which includes an Ultrasound of breast (to find out if any additional smaller lumps) and a cytology test if required.

Hello lybrate-user, chewing tobacco is definitely really bad for health. It can cause cancer too. At your young age, you should abstain from such bad habits and even stop your friends from doing so. It is a very poor addiction which will damage your oral health. Your teeth will be stained making you look ugly and your mouth will be full of non healing ulcers if you don't give up this bad habit. Its my strong request to you to stop chewing tobacco. If you feel difficult to abstain, I can prescribe some medicines for same. However, your will power is most important for leaving this bad habit.

Unfortunately know. Surgery is the mainstay of treatment with or without adjuvant chemotherapy based on the stage. To reduce the pain and discomfort of open surgery, laparoscopy can be safely done in colon cancer. The recovery is faster and less painful

The psa value of 51 is quite high. He needs a dedicated ultrasound of the prostate to rule out cancer. He should also be shown to a urologist or uro oncosurgeon to get a digital rectal examination and usg guided multi quadrant biopsy. Sorry to scare you, but usually bph doesn't have such high values, so it is better to evaluate thoroughly.

What is the cause of bone cancer and what is its symptoms?

MS ( General Surgery)
Oncologist
Ask Free Question
The exact cause of most bone cancers is not known. However, scientists have found that bone cancers are associated with a number of other conditions; still most people with bone cancers do not have any known risk factors. Research is underway to learn more about the causes of these cancers what are the risk factors for bone cancer? a risk factor is anything that affects your chance of getting a disease such as cancer. Different cancers have different risk factors. Eg: exposing skin to strong sunlight is a risk factor for skin cancer. Smoking is a risk factor for cancers of the lung, mouth, larynx, bladder, kidney, and several other organs. But having a risk factor, or even several, does not mean that you will get the disease. Most people with bone cancers do not have any apparent risk factors. For example children with certain rare inherited syndromes have an increased risk of developing osteosarcoma. Chordomas seem to run in some families. The genes responsible have not yet been found, but familial chordoma has been linked to changes on chromosome.
