Suffering from pain above the left hip more towards the center since 3 - 4 days. Was using my left arm to pick 1 kg packets and place somewhere else. Also helped in lifting 35 kg flour sacks 2 - 3 times. I manage to drink around 2 litres of water a day, maybe a little lesser nowadays. Pain is tolerable. What could be the causes and the proper treatment?

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Yes, she need to do, active quadriceps strengthening exercises, and, hamstring stretching exercises, need to walk as tolerated by pain, and needs to do stairs and toilet training,

: Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

This is called DeQuervain's disease. You need rest, some Analgesics, ice pack, and a brace for thumb. You will be fine.

Hunching over a desk is a leading reason why people end up with crippling back pain at some point in their lives. But a few simple changes in the way you work can make your pain go away. 1-while sitting Keep your head up; Focus on aligning your head and neck right above your shoulders; avoid straining forward. 2-Be choosy with your chair: Pick one that allows your lower back to rest against a lumbar support. Then tilt the back of the chair so it’s very slightly reclined. 3-Plant your feet: Keep them flat on the floor and shoulder-width apart to quiet tension in your knees and ankles. 4-Take breaks: Getting up at least once an hour— just do some shoulder rolls—reduces pressure on spinal disks and boosts circulation. If your back pain is severe please go to a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your pain. Best wishes.

Mattresses kis type ki use kr ni chahiye. Aur kis company ki sahi rhegi? Maine October 2015 me mattress li thi aur october 2016 se meri back me dard hona start ho gya. Morning me jb udta hu tab dard rhta hai. Winter season me to kbhi Kbhi mrng me udna mushkil ho jata tha.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Gentle Shoulder Stretching. Core Strengthening Exercises. Gentle Neck Exercises. Avoid sleeping on affected side. Warm up and cool down is a must. Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment shoulder is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the shoulder with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

Take nutritious diet. Avoid wrong posture while sitting and sleeping. Avoid spicy fried and junk food. Avoid tea coffee and aerated drinks. Avoid using pillow. Start with back stretching exercises.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

I'm of age 50. I'm diabetic. Have BP too. My weight is 86 now.I have sivere knee pain also. I am pure vegetarian. No any bad habits. I failed in business 2 times. Had a huge financial loss twice. To overcome stess I overeat. How can I reduce my weight. Irregular in exercise too.Can anybody help overcome this trichy situation?

Knee pain increase with increase in weight. As joints start degrading after 40. So first focus on reducing knee pain. Start taking regular physiotherapy sessions & go fr knee xray ap &lat view(both knees). Switch yourself to low calorie diet (fat free) more salad&fruit, liquid&semisolid diet. Avoid junk food. Take light breakfast rich in fibers&protein. Oats, poha, upma, vermicelli, veg sandwich you can prefer. Start taking green tea twice 1/2 cup after meal without sugar.
