Hello! The sound you mentioned is actually called Crepitus. It is usually because of a weak knee joint. Consult a physiotherapist, start Calcium supplement. Do knee strengthening exercises of the knee joint. You will definetely feel better.

I am 19 year old male. I got an ankle injury in my leg and swelling is still there. Got it while playing football. What to do?

Hi ~use elastic bandages (such as an ace bandage) to wrap your ankle. ~wear a brace to support your ankle. ~use crutches for walking till swelling and pain subsides. ~keep your foot raised above your heart with pillows when resting or sleeping to reduce swelling. ~get plenty of rest and do not put weight on your ankle. Still you don't get relief than visit physiotherapist as physical examination /xray may be required for further investigation. Do reply for detailed treatment plan. Wishing you a good health.

Avoid long standing, sitting toward bending. Apply heat fermentation twice a day and tk rest. Do stretching exercise in daily routine.

Shoulder pain can be a result of injury or disease of the shoulder joint. Injury can affect any of the ligaments, bursae, or tendons surrounding the shoulder joint. Injury can also affect the ligaments, cartilage, menisci and bones of the joint. Some minor shoulder pain can be treated at home. Icing the shoulder for 15 to 20 minutes, three or four times a day for two to three days can help reduce pain. Use an ice bag or wrap ice in a towel (putting ice directly on your skin can cause frostbite). Rest the shoulder and avoid any movements that might cause pain. Simple shoulder exercises can help to stretch and strengthen muscles and rotator cuff tendons. A physiotherapist can show you how to do them properly. Your bp shows stage 1 hypertension. Discuss your blood pressure concerns with your doctor. If you're already on medications, they probably should be adjusted. If you aren't on medications, it may be reasonable to start with a trial of lifestyle changes, although many people ultimately need medication to get their blood pressure into the normal range. How many times can one take isabgol. I use it at nights off and on before going to bed since I am prone to constipation, indigestion and bloating and find it useful in cleaning my bowels. Is there any other alternative which can be tried safely. Prefer home remedy since doctors at times tend prescribe heavy medicines which can have side effects.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Isabgol is safe you can take it 2-3 times a day in a glass of warm water - for a smooth motion have more of fibrous foods in your diet like fruits (2-3 per day), vegetables including green leafy & seasonal ones, whole grains including whole wheat, brown rice, oats, corn, barley, legumes including beans, lentils, pulses, peas, sprouts, a handful of nuts like almonds, walnuts, pista, cashews, peanuts, also have a figs, monacco for proper motion - have plenty of oral fluids including 8-10 glasses of water per day - also do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming for 10-20 min, also do yoga & deep breathing for proper digestion - sleep well for 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep & wake up time fixed, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime, do not lye down for 1-2 hrs after meals.

Dear advice your husband to dip his foot in salted hot water daily morning for 20 min. Let him do ankle and foot movements before walking after long rest. Ask him to use mcr foot wears take care.

Piriformis Stretch 1. Lie on your back. ... 2. Cross your left leg over your right so that your left ankle rests on your right knee. 3. Use your hands to grab hold of your left knee and pull it gently toward the opposite shoulder. ... 4. Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. 5. Relax, and then repeat with the other leg. 6. Repeat this cycle 2 to 4 times.

Spondilysis is a big problem. You can take a homoeo medicine - 1- rhus- tox 1000, 5 drops in little water fortnightly. 2- bryonia 30, 5 drops in little water, thrice daily. 3- mag- phos 6x, 5 tab. 1-1 hrly, 8 times daily. These medicine take regularly for one month.

Hi as far as I can understand, you had a fracture in your hand as a child. If you are still experiencing pain in your hand, you should consult a hand specialist. A plastic or orthopedic surgeon can help diagnose your problem and help you get better.

Its not a Problem. When any person starts jogging mostly his or her legs pains for a week depends upon person to person. And as you are saying you just quit drugs, possibly uska bhi side effect thoda rahega.

Firstly avoid long standing and morning walk ankle is weight bearing joint so firstly apply ice pack and pain relief ointment and tk rest. For other joint pain a checkup must of vit d and calcium levels. If there is any ankle injury then a x-ray must of ankle.

44 aged woman. Suffering from shoulder pain which passes to right hand muscle and around neck. How it can be cured.

It could be due to cervical spondylosis this is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do neck & back (spine) exercises use of cervical collar will give you relief. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you will need other supportive medicines also. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

1) Do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) Start natural calcium supplement. 3) Do regular stretching exercise 4) In yoga DO BHUJANGASAN, HALASAN & SURYANAMASKAR. LIFE-STYLE CORRECTION 1) Correct your sitting posture. 2) Take small pillow or back rest for lower back. 3) Foot should rest to floor easily. 4) Take small break after 1 hr & walk few steps. 5) Do neck & upper back extension, we have package for your issue just go through it & consult.

These are signs of nerve impingement somewhere along the course, could be entrapment neuropathy of median nerve due to which your thumb opposition has become weak. Dear Doctor, My mother is 76 years old. She is usually very agile, workaholic from the time I had seen her. She takes care of cooking & other household work till now. Her daily routine is: Gets up at 4.30 am in the morning, goes out for walking by 5.00 am. Walks between 30 - 40 minutes. Comes back - does meditation for 20 min; then does Yoga for 30 minutes. By the time she finishes all this it will be around 6.30 am. Then she goes to Kitchen and does breakfast and lunch for my wife and children - as they get ready to go to their work. Goes back to bed around 11.00 pm. Till she retires to bed, she is almost doing some work in the house. Maybe takes 1 hr rest in the noon time. Coming to her health issue: She has been diagnosed for diabetes for the past 4 years and is taking Glycomet GP1 - one tab in the morning and one at night; Her sugar reading taken a couple of days back reads: Fasting: 189 and PP 196. Her food habits: Breakfast: 3 idli or 2 chapattis or 2 doses. Lunch: Rice with some dal and vegetables and 1 green; Dinner: 2 chapattis; Upuma or Kichadi. Eats a piece of apple and guava and some dry fruits and nuts. Has one glass of milk before going to bed. For the past 6 months she is finding it difficult to walk outside, as her legs are paining. Pain radiates from bottom part of hip till the heels of her both legs. Usually she walks faster than men. Now she is feels her legs are heavy and knees paining as she walks. End of her walk back home, she is sweating and panting for breath; Her question is: She does everything that is recommended and advised by Doctors. Still why would she be having such a problem at her age? What investigations are to be done? Which specialist doctor has she to check about her health issue? Would appreciate your thoughts and advise to my dear mother.

Hello you need not worry. She needs a change in medications, take her to md Dr. Also take following ingredients and make a powder: almonds - 50 green elaichi - 50 neem leaves dry - 50 whole black pepper - 50 bhunna channa - 125 g. Take 1 tsp after breakfast and 1 tsp before dinner. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night is must for her. Include whole grains, sprouts, seasonal fruits and vegetables, salad vegetables like cucumber, kakri, onion, tomato etc. Include green tea 4-5 times a day. Thank you.
