What is the treatment for right side abdominal pain. And pain in back? please help.
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There could be many causes of rt sided abdominal pain and pain in lower back region. Abdominal pain could be due to visceral issue in abdomen for which it is advisable for you to kindly consult a general surgeon and if needed get a usg whole abdomen. For your lower back pain, there are many causes of pain in lower back region. It can be due to faulty posture, related to weak muscles, issues with intervertebral disc, narrowing of spinal canal, any bony instability besides many other, so accurate diagnosis is the key to proper management of the condition. You will have to elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Suffering from severe PTSD for three months will I get back to normal? My medication had also started.

Suffering from severe PTSD for three months will I get back to normal? My medication had also started.
PTSD is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. It is natural to feel afraid during and after a traumatic situation. Fear triggers many split-second changes in the body to help defend against danger or to avoid it. This “fight-or-flight” response is a typical reaction meant to protect a person from harm. Nearly everyone will experience a range of reactions after trauma, yet most people recover from initial symptoms naturally. Those who continue to experience problems may be diagnosed with PTSD. People who have PTSD may feel stressed or frightened even when they are not in danger. Flashbacks—reliving the trauma over and over, including physical symptoms like a racing heart or sweating Bad dreams Frightening thoughts Staying away from places, events, or objects that are reminders of the traumatic experience Avoiding thoughts or feelings related to the traumatic eventBeing easily startled Feeling tense or “on edge” Having difficulty sleeping Having angry outbursts Trouble remembering key features of the traumatic event Negative thoughts about oneself or the world Distorted feelings like guilt or blame Loss of interest in enjoyable activities For children the symptoms are different. Consult a psychiatrist and take treatment. All the best.

Hello Doctor! My brother was suffering from duchenne muscular dystrophy n recently we have heard about the stem cell ...
Duchene have no other option. It is x-linked chromosomal disease in male. No cure for this disease. Stem cell replacement therapy is still controversial and under trail mode. Difficult to say about the failure rate because no specific data is available still now.
