Sick sinus syndrome is an umbrella term that covers three heart rhythm problems (arrhythmia). * Sinus bradycardia, which causes slow heart rate. * Tachycardia which causes fast heart rate. *Bradycardia-Tachycardia, which causes alternating slow and fast heart rhythms. Artificial pacemaker have been used in sick sinus syndrome. Bradycardia are well controlled with pacemaker, while tachyarrythmias respond well to medical therapy. However both bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrythmias may be present drugs to control tachyarrhythmia may exacerbate bradyarrhythmia. Therefore a pacemaker is implanted before drug therapy is begun for tachyarrhythmia.

Please be realistic and rational in your approach. You need proper medical examination and some tests. So please do not waste time and visit a doctor ASAP. Based on your check up and reports the doctor will prescribe medications. Please do take them sincerely. Do not worry about the future. There is no harm in taking medications for long term. You should think positively and do all the best possible things. Start exercising every day (add Yoga and pranayam ), eat healthy food with every day fruits and vegetables. Avoid extra salt, junk, processed and junk food or cold drinks. Avoid stimulants like tobacco and alcohol. Learn some relaxation techniques so that you learn to let -go of your stress. Keep the reviews and follow-up regularly. Revert after you visit the doctor for any clarification.
