Can't be considered without proper examination. If you don't have any problems with doing activities then that's not. HTN is a lifestyle disease start modifications of lifestyle along with salt restrictions and physical activity of an hour daily.

Sirji, I have thyroid (TSH) 8.28 plU/mL my age is 23yrs, height is 5ft 6 inches & weight is 55kg, kindly tell me what...
Thyroid is a butterfly shaped organ which is located in the neck region and produces thyroid hormones. Thyroid hormones have far implicating effects on our body and regulate our bmr ie basal metabolic rate. It is simply stated as the energy required to carry on the basal or basic functioning of the body. For eg our body requires energy for digestion and for digestion our intestines have to undergo peristalsis which is the movement of intestines to absorb nutrients from intestines. This energy is regulated by thyroid. So an important symptom of thyriod dysfuction is related to this basal function. If your thyroid underperforms ie hypo thyroidism then you are constipated but if it overperforms ie hyper thyroid then you get frequent loose stools. This explains the effect on only one aspect of body functions but thyroid has multiple effects in multitude of ways on our body. The trick is to just keep it right. Neither hyper nor hypo. Your reports points you are hypothyroid. But you need another test called anti tpo to confirm this. Your hair fall is linked to hypothyroidism. Hope this helps.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Hello lybrate user, back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid cruntches or sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to slip disc. Always maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: try to avoid pain killers (analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay healthy. Stay happy god bless you.

Reasons can be-* *sitting in inconvenient posture constantly, without changing your position or without movement, *wearing ill fitting sandals, *lack of exercise or *internal disorder like arthritis. Point to observe- * if you have difficulty in climbing stairs, take lift while going upstairs. If there is no lift, go up slowly. * if it is due to strain of games or injury, take rest. * if it is due to obesity, reduce weight. * if it is due to constant sitting at a particular posture, change posture and engage in slow walk. * walking regularly at slow pace without unduly straining helps as it improves blood circulation around knee and eases the joint. *you can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take bryonia 200---twice daily morning and evening and give feedback after 7 days

I have neck pain from last 2 years. I have tried physiotherapy for 3-4 months. But it don't help. I am a 26 year old male and I work continuously on laptop/ PC. What should I do to prevent a serious neck related illness?

Neck pain in your situation could be most likely due to: 1. Poor ergonomics at workplace causing neck muscles strain. 2. Degeneration of cervical spine due to improper weight distribution during computer work. You should follow good ergonomics at workplace to get relief and avoid neck pain. 1 desk should have sufficient knee room so that one can sit close to the front of the desk. 2. The monitor should be placed at arms length 3. Desk should be at a height such that the wrists are maintained in a neutral position when using a computer with the shoulders relaxed. 4. The chair should be adjustable, padded to maintain the spine in a vertical or slightly reclined position. If the chair does not provide adequate low back support then a lumbar cushion should be used. 5. While seated on chair, the hips and knees should be on same level and feet should be flat on the floor. 6. Arm rests should support the elbows and forearms 7. The monitor should be positioned directly in front. 8. The top of monitor should be at eye level. It's preferable to use a computer instead of a laptop from ergonomics point of view. 9. In between work take breaks at 30 -60 mins and perform neck, shoulder, back stretches or take a simple walk.

If there was no trauma or injury to the back, and also if you didn't lift any heavy weight and the pain started, then it could be due to posture related or mechanical backache. You can use a hot water bag in your back for 10-15 min and then apply some ointment like nice gel. Eventually you need to strengthen your back muscles by exercising (simple exercises) like pelvic lifting, static back etc, also some of the yoga asanas are also good for back like bhujangasan etc.

Hi Well if it has become chronic and not resolving to any treatment modalities, we need to rule out any infection, which can be done by blood tests and a mri scan. If it is normal, then an intralesional steroid injection can be given which will help him to get rid of the pain.

Dear , I am Dr. Saseendar, specialist orthopaedic surgeon from chennai. Where exactly in the knee is your pain? is it on the knee cap in front of your knee? or is it below the knee cap? do you have pain during playing or when you kick a ball or run? I suspect it is a strain on your patella or your patellar tendon. Kindly let me know the details. Since the pain has been there for so long, it is advisable to get x rays for your knee.
