Hello sir. I want reduce my wait and firstly may fat. please tall me how could I reduce my fat?
First of all to reduce weight you should do follow these guidelines.Take small amount of food.Do not skip meals. No sugar, sweetened juice, cola, soft drinks as these contain glucose and fructose. These turns into fat.Fructose leads to belly and liver fat and it is cause of insulin resistance and host of metabolic disturbances.Instead of these take lots of vegetables, fruits as these helps to reduce fat.Take whole grain, whole wheat, oats.Use more protein like fish, egg white, lean meat, mushroom, peanuts, tofu, peas. These will help in build muscle not just fat.Use healthy fat in cooking. You can use coconut oil for weight loss.Use lukewarm water after meals.Avoid fast foods, junk foods, processed foods.Avoid smoking, alcohol.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Use lukewarm water with lemon juice on an empty stomach in the morning.Regular exercise like swimming, skipping, push ups,sit ups, squat, yoga. These basic things will help you.

With diabetes itself, we have to face problems in other parts of our body with due course of time, some gets it sooner and some later it depends on your mental status, how u took your problem, what all u r doing to control it, try to take minimum dose of medicine while keeping your sugar levels normal. Hi lybrate-user to gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.

Sir , I Have diabetes for Three Years, what should I do please give me Suggestion.
Mr. Lybrate-user, if you have confirmed diabetes, then starting treatment with appropriate drugs is essential. In addition regular exercise and diet control also is required. You should avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, other bakery items and sweetened aerated drinks and high fat milk product. Also avoid fructose corn syrup containing products and high; y proceeded food products. Daily exercise of at least 1 hour, brisk walking can be a very good option. Plus refrain from alcohol and smoking. Basically adapt a modified lifestyle. Thanks.

Hi, How we can survive summer? It was too hot in summer Can please guide some tips for better health in summer. Thanks Ravi.

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science

Hi,
How we can survive summer? It was too hot in summer Can please guide some tips for better health in summer.
Thank...
Hye. Thanks for the query. A healthy and balanced diet is essential, especially in the summer. The summer heat deprives our body of all the energy. Excessive perspiration in summer results in dehydration. Rehydration is essential irrespective of the activity levels and thirst pangs. Liquids at very cold temperatures should be avoided. Increased consumption of very cold liquids, results in the constriction of the blood vessels. This in turn reduces the loss of heat which is essential in summers. Holy basil seeds/ tulsi seeds added to water or fruit juices proves an effective cooling drink for the summers. Soft drinks contain added sugar, preservatives and colors. Therefore fresh fruit juices without added sugar are preferred in summers. Fried foods, such as french fries, potato patties, chips, samosa, wada pav should be restricted thereby reducing the thermal effect of fat. A light and healthy meal will make you feel comfortable. Avoid very spicy foods. Whole fresh fruits supply a good amount of water, in addition to minerals and vitamins. A bountiful supply of vegetables and fresh fruits are beneficial. Lemon juice, barley water, butter milk and tender coconut water are the best sources of hydration.

Dear Doctor, I'm 18 years old. I'm quite sad these days. I have mood swings. Sometimes i cry and laugh at the same time while I'm alone. I even started to hate everything around me. I love to listen to the music, playing guitar and painting. But these days. I don't want to do any of these. I just want to alone. My friends told me that I'm negative these days. I don't know what to do. I don't want to be negative. Please help.

Don't neglect this condition. It could be the indication of a more severe problem. Visit a counselor and let her/him assess your situation to recommend a visit to a psychiatrist, if necessary. This is the late adolescent stage of your development and is the last chance to resolve any lurking issues that have remained dormant till now. If you had some disturbances earlier, it is an indication that it is really serious. Although it is looking for a resolution, you could enter adulthood with a permanent negative feature that will torment you for a long time in life, if you do not sort it now. Don?t feel ashamed but seek help soon because in adolescence it is easier, if you cooperate. Also make a complete history of the family, and your life since you were conceived. Any history of inherited traits up to your grandparents in terms of mental diseases, mental retardation, alcoholism, suicide, depression etc. Will help to trace genetic contributions. Ideally don?t be alone for long times and be engaged in interesting activities. Socialize a lot but don?t put too much pressure on yourself. Certainly do not increase stress. Proper exercise, diet and sleep will help tremendously.
