Your weight for 170cm height should be around 58kg to 66kg. Diet- 2 boiled eggs in the morning as well as in the evening with a glass of milk helps a lot. For breakfast, porridge made with whole (full-fat) milk with chopped fruit or raisins sprinkled on top, or eggs on toast. Good quality roasted panner/tofu as snacks. Peanut butter on toast for a high-energy snack. Dates smoothies/shake in evening. Sweetened lassi and yogurt daily. Potatoes, bread, cereals, rice and pasta should make up about a third of the food you eat. Soak 4-6 dry figs in water and consume. Regular meditation. Regular meals, especially breakfast are important to gain wt. Having snacks (mentioned above) at bedtime also help to gain wt. Relax after having a meal. Keep away stress. Sleep in the afternoon. Eat five or more meals a day. Include 2teaspoons of cow ghee in your daily diet. Avoid heavy exercises. Daily whole body massage with chandanadi oil, followed by light exercises for 10minutes. Yogasanas- shavasana, sukhasana, vajrasana. Get fasting thyroid and fasting blood sugar checked up. If these are imbalanced they need to be corrected first.

Hi lybrate-user. Not gaining weight is dependent on the metabolism and basal metabolic rate which is governed by Thyroid hormones principally. So you may test for that. And also you should start homoeopathic treatment with proper consultation. You may take Alfalfa Q 10 drops before meals.in water.

Cold water do not cause any weight gain. But excess intake of cold water leads to indigestion of food, bloating of stomach, abdominal pain. It can also lead to sore thraot & heaviness in voice too.

If you work out a lot in a gym only then you need such high intake of proteins, even in that case avoid taking egg yolks. Otherwise one egg a day and taking egg yolk one in while is good enough.

Hi lybrate-user you should take aswagandha, sataber and amla, safed musali and mishri in equal quantity. All mix and make it powder then take this powder 1 tea spoon full twice a day with milk for 1 month. Do proper exercise. You will feel physically fit very soon.

Please suggest if I can take wheat made chapatis or not as any have told me not to eat chapatis. Also suggest how much water should I drink according to my blood group. Hye. Thankyou for the query. Unless you have a medical condition that calls for a restriction, there is no reason why you should stop eating chapati. Water intake does not depend on your blood group. Water intake depends on many factors like activity level, season, food intake, disease condition if any etc. Best way to ensure good intake of water is to sip on water through the day. You can be assured that you are taking enough water when the urine you pass is colourless (unless you are taking any medication or had fruits like beetroot). Also do not wait to be dehydrated and severely thirsty to have water. Ideally at least try to have at 2-3 liters of water per day (as long as you don't have any medical condition that needs restriction). Stop alcohol and smoking. Avoid skipping meals. Do not eat excessive amounts of non vegetarian foods. Since you work night shifts and have high uric acid levels, it will help to go for a personalised diet consultation.

Do surya namskar. Nd take aloe vera juice with luke warm water. Do brisk walk. Take vegetable juice. Don't skip your breakfast. Take one fruit daily. Avoid sweets, potatoes, white rice, mango, banana, sugar. Take green tea without sugar. Take black tea without sugar.
