The fruitful growth in research of methods for type 2 diabetes prediction in the past decades needs to be complemented by a matching degree of attention given to what difference risk models actually make in practice and how implementation can be improved.

Dosage of the thyroid is always adjusted by seeing the reports, so get your thyroid testing done and check out whats the result, that will tell you whether the dosage is correct or not, do not self medicate yourself.

Problems---1. Ht block, 2. Dilated aorta, high blood sugar associated. These are dangerous combination. They have released block by putting stents, but dilated aorta will give you trouble if you work hard. Only sedentary work is permitted along with full change of life style including intake of food & liquids. Sugar must be controlled with proper medicine other wise that will lead to reat catastrophy.

Soft drinks may not affect thyroid directly but it predisposes to many other problems like gastritis, diabetes nutritional imbalances which aggrevate any exhisting disease. Please stop have softdrinks as they are as bad for health as alcohol drinks.

I have high uric acid level in blood (8.2 mg/dl) what should I do to make it normal. Previously I was taking Zyloric 100 mg, then 200 mg now currently I am taking Febutas 40 mg but still now I am maintaining the Uric Acid level of 8.2 mg/dl.

Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood include: Diuretic medications (water pills) Drinking too much alcohol Genetics (inherited tendencies) Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) Immune-suppressing drugs Niacin, or vitamin B-3 Obesity Psoriasis Purine-rich diet — organ meat, game meat, anchovies, herring, gravy, dried beans, dried peas, mushrooms and other foods Renal insufficiency — inability of the kidneys to filter waste Tumor lysis syndrome — a rapid release of cells into the blood caused by certain cancers or by chemotherapy for those cancers Also, you may be monitored for high uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. with tab. zloric 100 mg you can take tab. bencid 500 mg twice a day after meal.

Hello, please follow the doctor prescribed medicine. Which controls the diabetics and will not allow you increase. But along with medication, you need to concentrate on food also. Make sure your food must have high protein, fiber and omega-3 nutrition. Its good to have more protein rather than carbohydrates, which converts into glucose and may have a chance to increase the diabetes. What we suggest is the nutrigemoic protein, who certified, with 9 essential amino acids. This will help you cure your diabetics in a year time. But you will definitely have a result, if you can use protein with vitamins and minerals, fiber and omega-3 supplements, also add b complex for feets.

Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. It is a difficult task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (Self-Monitoring of Blood glucose – SMBG). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of Fasting sugar (FBS) and 2 hours after food (PPBS), & HbA1C (inform me) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ Insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For diabetes, hypertension (high BP) and many long-term illness control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance... if you keep in touch personally. You can consult me with all details here by Lybrate site

Mr. Lybrate-user, please clarify who is having diabetes? age of the patient and type of diabetes? these details are not clear. Anyway, if some one has diabetes then treatment has to be started with appropriate drugs. Plus diet control and regular exercise also are required. To suggest any treatment there is a need to know fasting, pp sugar level and hba1c%, dietary pattern and extent of exercise being done daily. It will be better if these details are given. Thanks.

Hello, TSH level seems to be fairly low. If you are not having any symptoms, then you may continue the same dose. Then check TSh after another 8 weeks later, if it is still very low, then dose may be reduced by about a small fraction. Thanks.

Dear hyder, hypothyroidism is of many types. Autoimmune hypothyroidism requires permanent replacement but to prove we've to check for thyroid antibodies. At times the condition if mild and drug induced itcan reverse. But keep checking tsh regularly to diagnose recurrence.
