It's the perennial question of the hair it is a fact that cutting back is a good thing - and washing every day is a mistake, no matter how much you might crave clean-feeling locks.Your hair's natural oils are designed to condition and protect your tresses, so when you shampoo daily, it strips these vital oils away.It creates a vicious cycle of over-production of oils and a need to shampoo very often. Ideally, to keep your hair healthy, you only need to wash two to three times a week, max.

Don't overwash coloured hair

This is especially true for coloured hair, which can lose its sheen quickly with too much washing.The biggest mistake people make is over-washing coloured hair.Buy a good-quality shampoo– and wash it every few days using styling products in between to keep it looking fresh.Don't shampoo daily. Simply rinse and condition the hair every other day as shampoo can wash out the colour.

Take into account your hair type and lifestyle choices

Of course, how often you need to wash your locks also depends on the type of hair you have.You may not be able to imagine not washing your hair after a workout ,you can can always rinse out sweat without shampooing.A water-only rinse will remove salt and sweat without stripping hair oils.

Invest in some good dry shampoo

And finally if you're aiming to scale back the amount of times you wash your hair per week, remember dry shampoo is your friend.Use dry shampoo instead of washing your hair every day. It will help reduce the oil build up in your hair and gives amazing texture You can also leave dry shampoo in (instead of brushing it out) to give volume.As opposed to washing your hair every day, dry shampoo will help to refresh your hair at the roots and the tips whilst helping you to retain all the essential moisture your hair needs.Avoid hot showers and shampoo your scalp, not your ends.

Amount of Shampoo

Come shampoo time, many of us reach for a large dollop of the good stuff to scrunch into our hair; but there's a technique to good hair washing and overdoing things on the product front will do more harm than good.Healthy, beautiful, shiny hair starts in the shower so make sure to use the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type and level of damage. The volume of shampoo you should use depends on the length and thickness of your hair, but a blob the size of a small 1 rupee coin is a good start.Longer hair needs a 2 rupee coin.

Aim for the scalp not the ends

It's not just how much shampoo you use, but where you apply it that counts.Use shampoo on the scalp only - not on the ends of your hair. The shampoo will rinse down in the shower, but you don’t want to scrub the ends.

Massage your scalp to encourage circulation

Giving your head an invigorating massage as you shampoo is a good way to encourage blood circulation and helps to detoxify the scalp.Having strong, healthy hair is the best way to make any hair look expensive. A lot of it is about properly shampooing and conditioning and taking care of your scalp - massage it well while washing to get circulation going.

Avoid hot water

Cool off in the shower. Blasting your scalp with extremely hot water will dry out your hair and create tangles that could result in breakage.Towel-dry your hair before applying conditioner.

What conditioner you use and how you use it is

 If anything, more important than the shampoo stage. Make sure you invest in a few good quality conditioners and leave-in treatments or hair masks, especially if you have coloured hair.

Good conditioner is also crucial when it comes to thick, curly hair.

For curly, highly textured hair, always deep condition .No two minute conditioners here. Deep conditioning involves a conditioner that will add moisture and strength (protein) back to hair. I believe it’s important to use leave-in conditioners and also not to shampoo it so often. Rinse it if you want to but don’t necessarily shampoo it.

Gently towel-dry the hair before applying conditioner

Make sure you towel-dry hair after shampooing and before you apply conditioner: excess water in your hair means the conditioner won't be able to penetrate the hair shaft and deliver the necessary moisture to keep hair looking healthy and shiny.If you're short on time, at least squeeze out excess water - hair that’s saturated with water doesn’t have room to absorb anything else.

Avoid the roots and concentrate on the ends

Try not to put the conditioner on the roots, because that can cause your scalp to get greasy faster.It's also a good idea to think ahead and anticipate situations where your hair might dry out.While you exercise, you perspire, which means that your hair gets damp with sweat that can actually make it dry.Before you hit the gym (especially during the summer, but this works year-round too) wet your hair and add in some conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends. Rinse out the conditioner post-workout and you’ll be left with shiny, hydrated hair.Avoiding too much sun helps too.Brush your hair twice a day, from the bottom up

Comb wet hair, don't brush it

When your hair is soaking wet, it is weaker, fragile and more susceptible to breakage.Try not to rough-dry hair with a towel, and instead gently press the water out. Also, do not brush your hair while it is wet. Use a wide-tooth comb, working from the ends of your hair on up.

Use different brushes for blow-dying and styling

At home, you should have a round brush for blow-drying, for styling and a tail comb to move hair around a little

Keep your brushes clean

Filthy hair brushes that are covered in hair, oil and product build-up are breeding grounds for bacteria. Clean them at least once a month with a mixture of baking soda and lukewarm water. A toothbrush will help you to get into all those tiny bristles.

मोटापा एक ऐसी स्थिति है जहां शरीर में वसा का अधिक भंडारण होता है। मोटापा की समस्या सिर्फ भारत में नहीं बल्कि पूरे विश्व में बढ़ रही है। आज हम आप्को मोटापा कम कर्ने के सरल घरेलु उपचार बताएंगे।

मोटापा, चरबी आदि होने के अनेक कारण हो सक्ते हैं, जैसे कि:

- व्यायाम न करना
- नीन्द पूरी न होना
- अधिक घी, तेल आदि चीज़ो का सेवन
- आनुवंशिक विकार
- हार्मोनल असंतुलन
- गर्भावस्था
- आसीन जीवन शैली
- तनाव
- बड़ी मात्रा में शराब का उपभोग करना

मोटापा बढ़ना जितना आसान है, घटाना उतना ही मुश्किल। केवल व्यायाम वजन कम करने के लिए पर्याप्त नहीं है, सही आहार का पालन करना उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण है।

इससे पहले कि आप अपना वजन कम करने का प्रयास शुरू करें, आप अपना बी.एम.आइ माप ले। बीएमआई आपको बताता है कि आपकी ऊंचाई और आपकी उम्र के अनुसार आपका वजन कितना होना चाहिए। यह आपको बताएगा कि आपको कितना वजन कम करने की आवश्यकता है। यह जानने के बाद आप हमारे बताए घरेलु उपचार का उपयोग कीजिए। आप कुछ ही दिन मे खुदसे हल्का एवं तन्द्रुस्त महसूस करेंगे।

1. पानी: हर दिन कम से कम 8 ग्लास पानी पीजिए, और आप जब भी पानी पीएं, आराम से पीएं. एक ही घूँट मे ना निगल जाएं। पानी में इलेक्ट्रोलाइट्स होते हैं जो वजन कम करने में सहायता करते हैं। 

2. शहद और नींबू: हनी और नींबू एक साथ शरीर के वजन को नियंत्रित करने के लिए अद्भुत काम करते हैं। गुनगुने पानी का गिलास लें, उस्मे शहद की एक चम्मच, नींबू के रस के 3 बड़े चमच और एक चुटकी पिसी हुई काली मिर्च डाल कर हिला ले। यह मिश्रण हर सुबह खाली पेट पीएं।

3. ग्रीन टी: ग्रीन टी एक शक्तिशाली एंटीऑक्सीडेंट है जो जिद्दी और कठोर वसा जलाती है। इसका सेवन रोज़ बिना चीनी डाले करें।

4. खीरा: क्या आपको पता है कि खीरे मे 90% पानी होता है? खीरे फाइबर समृद्ध और कोलेस्ट्रॉल मुक्त होते हैं। यह आपको ताज़ा रखते हैं, विषाक्त पदार्थों को शरीर से निकालते हैं एवं आपकी त्वचा में सुधार लाते हैं।

5.गाजर: पेट के मोटापे को कम करने का बोहोत अछा उपाय है गाजर। यदि आप रोज़ सुबह खाली पेट 1 ग्लास गाजर का जूस पी लें तो निश्चित रूप से आपका पेट कम होने लगेगा।

6. लौकी: लौकी भी खीरे की तरह फाइबर से समृद्ध होती है और उसमे बिल्कुल वसा नही होती. आप लौकी की सब्ज़ी बना के खा सकते हैं या इसका रस निकाल कर भी पी सकते हैं ।

7. अजमोद: यह आपके गुर्दे को डिटॉक्स करता है और इसके सेवन से पेट भरा भरा महसूस होता है जिसकी वजह से आप कम खाना खाएँगे।

8. गोभी: इसमें टैटरिक एसिड होता है जो चीनी और कार्बोहाइड्रेट को वसा में परिवर्तित होने से रोकता है। इससे आपके पेट और जांघों का मोटापा बोहोत जल्दी हटेगा।

9. जूजूबे की पत्तियां: जूजूबे की पत्तियों को पानी मे सोख कर रात भर रखा रहने दें। सुबह उठकर खाली पेट इसे पीएं । यह एक महीना करने पर आपको इसका असर दिखने लगेगा।

10. सौंफ के बीज: सौंफ के बीज वजन घटाने के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ हर्बल तरीकों में से एक हैं। भारी भोजन करने के 15-20 मिनट पहले एक कप सौंफ वाली चाय पी लें। यह आपकी भूख को रोकने में मदद करेगी।

11. टमाटर: टमाटर भी तेज़ी से मोटापा घटाने का बोहोत अछा उपाय है। यदि आप लगभग 2 महीने तक सुबह नाश्ते मे सिर्फ़ 2 टमाटर खा ले तो निश्चित ही आपका वजन घट जाएगा।

You must understand certain basic scientific facts so that you are not mislead. The colour and texture of the skin is a hereditary factor and so it cannot be changed. We have to gracefully accept the colour of our skin. The dark complexion is not a disease or any stigma. It just needs a positive change in attitude. But that does not mean that you cannot or should not take good care our your skin. So eat healthy , natural and a balanced diet. (Eat more fruits and vegetables. ) Use simple moisturizing cream and avoid all kinds of lotions and creams unless there is some skin problem. Do not wash the face with soap frequently as it will make it more dry. Have lots of fluids and water so that the skin remains supple and soft with good hydration. Avoid over-exposure to sun light. Use sun protection when ever needed.

Dear patient, as the sunscreens contain sun protecting factor which we call SPF, is really helpful for our skin rejuvenation and protection. Nowadays,there is global warming and other hazardous conditions in the environment which may worsen your skin problems and your body lotion or fairness cream would not be very much helpful. You should use aloe vera gel twice/week by applying on your face and keeping it for next 10-15 minutes and then rinse off, repeat it every time when you come back from outside. And whnever you go out, even if it's a rainy day, the ultra-violet rays of sun are still affecting you, so apply sunscreen before 20-30 minutes of leaving your place, so the skin would absorb it finely, drink plenty of water to naturally hydrate your skin and take citrus fruits like orange, lemon etc, watermelon in this summer, stay healthy.

Here are 4 ways to deal with that stubborn sun tan:

  1. Make sunscreen your best friend:  Sunscreen is your knight in shining armour against the harsh sun. Apply broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher prior to going out. Re-apply the sunscreen every two hours. And yes! You are exposed to UV rays on cloudy days too.
  2. Go chemical: In case of severe sun tanning which results in hyper-pigmentation, treatments such as chemical peels can work wonders.  The fundamental mechanism of the action of chemical peels is the elimination of unnecessary melanin by causing a controlled chemical burn to the skin 
  3. Prevention better than cure: To avoid getting tanned, opt for scarves and hats to cover up and stay protected. Wear full sleeved clothing when going out, especially during noon time when the sun rays are very strong 
  4. Avoid sun bathing and tanning beds: While getting a tan may appear fashionable, sun bathing for hours can lead to age spots and cause skin wrinkles.

hello mam, first of all you have to change your dietary pattern . cut down on ghee, butter, limit your carb intake, use only skimmed milk/curd. give up mostly on fried foods. Increase your fibre intake like oats,daliya,brown breads, fruits and vegetables. If possible mix bran into your flour.Go very light with your dinners a plate full of salad made out of veggies,sprouts and fruits. consume as much as water as you can . apart from this walking upto 2-3 kms per day

Dark circles are a common problem but the cause for its occurrence has to be determined. Most of the times, it's genetic that is it runs in the family. But inadequate sleep, nutritional deficiency or working on laptop for long hours can also cause this. Please get your hemoglobin checked. Creams can be tried, which are specially made for treating pigmentation on this area. Chemical peels are also another option. Please use a sunscreen. You can consult me for detailed prescription and all other precaution to be taken.

For weight loss. It is important to take frequent meals at regular interval of time. Empty stomach try to include 2 tsp aleovera juice+ 2 tsp amla juice in equal amount of water. In Breakfast you can museli/oats+ milk+ 1 apple /1 bowl green moong dal sprouts/1-2 besan cheela+ green chutney. In mid morning 1 cup green tea + 1 bowl fruits. Lunch 1-2 wheat bran roti+ 1bowl veg+ 1 bowl salad/1 bowl veg daliya + 1bowl curd E.T:1 cup tea+ 1bowl roasted channa/murmura Dinner: 1 bowl fruits+ 1glass skimmed milk/Grilled/roasted paneer/1-2 bowl cooked yellow moong dal+ 1bowl veg. After Dinner Take 1 cup jasmine tea. Drink soy milk and lots of water. Take fish oil and salmon. Include more fiber in the diet. Use low fat milk, brown sugar, flax seed. Take good sleep. 10 minutes of sunlight for vitamin D.Avoid salt in the diet, caffeine, processed foods like instant noodles, pies, bread rolls, artificial sugar, diet coke, sweetener, spices and hot spicy foods.

Take high fiber low fat diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs. Avoid outside food completely. Do regular exercise.

Body pain, fever, weekness etc are sympptons of dengue. In which platlet count goes below normal. Sometime patient is symptom less unless dengue is confirm in blood test. Papaya leaves juice helps in curing dengue which results in increse platlet count. And other symptomatic treatment. And proper diet and exercise will help you to reduce fat. B active do not live sedentary life. Avoid fatty and junk food.
