How To Get a Big Penis

How To Get a Big Penis

First of all, we have to define what small really means and what statistics apart from any personal impressions and taste actually say: the flaccid size is irrelevant, some men have a rather small penis growing to enormous size when erect, on the other hand there are men with a rather impressive flaccid penis that just erects itself when aroused and doesn’t grow much in girth or length. Flaccid and erect size don’t correlate.

Even in reputable studies, the statistical average varies, us median is about 5.5 inch according to the biggest study (1661 sexually active men) we could find by the well known journal of sexual medicine. Most men have an erect size between 5 and 6 inch, so below 5 inch can be considered small. Don’t be fooled by the penis sizes you often see in adult movies, all actors are selected individuals far above the average size. These movies certainly don’t depict any statistical average and also use visual tricks to make the manhood of the male actors appear even larger.

Does penis size matter for women?

The question most men probably care for most. While many woman claim that penis size isn’t important for them and it’s all about the right technique and a loving partner treating them well, that’s only half the truth. In totally anonymous surveys, the number of women claiming that penis size is important for them, at least from a aesthetic viewpoint, is significantly higher than in face to face surveys. This fact doesn’t mean a smaller penis can’t satisfy a women, it doesn’t mean you can’t have a perfect sex life with a small penis, but the the harsh truth is: size matters, at least for some women. No need to panic if you have a small penis, according to a combined study of several reasearch institutes since 1942, 85% of all women are happy with the penis size of their partner, while only 55% of all men are happy with their own penis. So, the percieved problem is bigger than the real one.

Good News: Too big isn’t good, if you arise hung like a horse chances are high that intercourse isn’t possible in some positions since it hurts. While being very stretchable, the average vagina is only about 4.5 inch deep. So, average or a little below average can have it’s advantages as well, especially if you perfer practices like anal sex.

Top 4 exercise to get big penis.

1. Ultimate stretcher

The “ultimate stretch” is great technique especially for those who want to improve their length. It is a simple tactic that involves just stretching your flaccid little buddy out.

Here are detailed directions:

Take your time for a proper warm-up phase. Retract your foreskin and grasp your phallus behind (about one inch below) its head/glans firmly. You should feel no pain or significant discomfort (do not cut off too much blood circulation. Pull it outwards with enough force to feel painless stretch inside your shaft. Hold that position for 20 to 30 seconds. If needed, rest for 5 seconds. Repeat steps 2 to 4 but this time pull it upwards to your belly button. Repeat but this time pull it downwards to your knees. Repeat but this time pull it to your right side. Repeat but this time pull it to your left side. Take your time to go through a cool down phase.

2. Thumb stretcher

The “thumb stretcher” is a slightly different technique you should add to your length boosting regime as well:

Take your time for a proper warm-up phase. Retract your foreskin and grasp your phallus behind (about one inch below) its head/glans firmly. You should pull it outwards without feeling any pain or significant discomfort. Use your other hand to place a thumb at the base of your penis (first third. Press with your thumb down in the direction of your knees. You should pull in both directions at the same time with enough force to feel a painless stretch inside your shaft. Hold that position for 20 to 30 seconds. If needed, rest for 5 seconds between each repetition. Repeat steps 2-7 four times in one session but change the spot where you place your thumb. Take your time to go through a cool down phase.

3. Backward puller

Take your time for a proper warm-up phase. Retract your foreskin and place your thumbs on the top of your shaft one inch behind its head/glans. Place other fingers on both hands on the bottom side of your shaft to support it. Pull the skin on top of your penis with your thumbs in the direction of your body. Use enough force to feel a painless stretch and tension in your shaft. Hold that position for about 15-25 seconds. If needed, rest for 5 seconds between each repetition. Repeat steps 2-7 ten times in one session but change the spot where you place your thumbs. Take your time to go through a cool down phase.

4. Opposite stretch

The opposite stretch is an exercise that might make you flinch a little just reading about it! However, make no mistake, as it’s very effective and will increase your size, especially length.

All you need to do is just follow nine simple steps:

Take your time for a proper warm-up phase. Retract your foreskin and grasp your phallus behind (about one inch below) its head/glans firmly. You should feel no pain or significant discomfort (do not cut off too much blood circulation. With your second hand, grip the shaft with a standard ok-grip (between thumb and index finger) an inch above the base. Pull your first hand upwards away from and your second hand downwards to your base with enough force to feel painless stretch inside your shaft. Hold that position for 20 to 30 seconds. If needed, rest for 5 seconds. Repeat steps 2 to 7 until you reach a desired number of repetitions. Take your time to go through a cool down phase.

7 Common Contraceptive Methods!

Contraceptive methods of birth control are usually quite successful. By  these methods, you can enjoy your sex without the worry of pregnancy. Modern technology has led to the formulation of avid techniques of contraception; some are temporary and the others permanent. However, no matter how well these methods work, almost all of them have got a variety of side effects on your body and health.

Here is a list of different modes of contraception and the side effects they may cause:

  1. Intra Uterine Device: A device is fitted into the uterus, which does not cause pregnancy. An effective method with the following side effects:
    • There is a risk of the device falling off.
    • This causes puncture in the uterus.
    • The device made of copper may lead to menstrual cramps and spotting.
  2. Depo Provera Hormonal Injection: This mode of contraception involves taking an injection, which restricts pregnancy for a period of three months. The side effects are:
    • Gaining of extra weight, fatigue.
    • Decrease of bone density.
    • Menstrual bleeding along with spotting takes place.
  3. Birth Control Pills: Birth control pills are one of the most common and most effective ways of birth control or contraception. However, several side effects may be observed.
    • Causes nausea, headaches and blood clots in very rare cases.
    • In case you use other prescribed medicines along with birth control pills, severe damage may be inflicted.
  4. Condoms: Effective condoms are made of latex or polyurethane. Unrolled, condoms look like long, thin balloons. They prevent body fluids from mixing when two people have sex. The condom is put onto the penis before the penis comes into contact with the vagina, mouth, or anus. General Tips:
    • Use a water based lubricant to decrease the chance of the condom breaking.
    • To decrease the chance of the condom slipping down the penis or falling off inside the vagina, pull the penis out of the vagina right after ejaculation.
    • Hold the rim of the condom onto the shaft of the penis during withdrawal.
    • Never use more than one condom at a time.
    • Never re-use a condom.
  5. Vaginal Ring: Mode of contraception is very effective. It also helps in making menstrual periods of women much lighter and in continuity. The side effects are:
    • May cause nausea and headache.
    • There is a vast increase in appetite
    • There is a risk of blood clot formation.
  6. Diaphragm: A very successful mode of contraception where a diaphragm is inserted and fitted into the vagina. The negatives of this mode are:
    • It may get out of place during sex and is likely to cause damage
    • The process can be a mess
    • Causes urinary infections
  7. Hormonal implants: This long term method of birth control is an effective one. The side effects are:
    • A surgery is required where rods are inserted under your skin. This might be risky surgery.
    • If you want to remove it, again another surgery has to be carried out.
    • An Infection may develop in the area where the thin rods are inserted.

All modes of contraception irrespective of their effectiveness have got some side effects on your health. Hence, you must choose them wisely. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist and ask a free question.

Hello Friends,

Patient often asks me why it is important to walk bare feet? In reply to this I always ask them one question, how many times they walk bare feet? Even in home we walk with slippers or footwears. Are we not deliberately disconnecting ourslef with earth? We all know earth has gravity due to which we are stick to the land. On the period when moon size grows from the amavasya (new moon), moon also pulls up as it has gravity too. Tides in oceans are on high. At that time when moon starts growing in size, we must try to walk bare feet so that effect of moon's upward pull or gravity has negligible effect on body. We must connect ourselves to the earth as we are earth beings. Walking bare feet even for shorter duration from new moon day to next full moon day has good effect on body.

Ladies, Be Honest In The Bedroom

The 6 biggest sex mistakes women make and reasons why women make them.

Ladies, be honest: when your sex life becomes a little humdrum, out comes the mental catalogue of all the ways your partner isn’t quite measuring up. Guys tend to get a bad rap when it comes to understanding women’s bodies and what turns us on, making them easy targets in the blame game when sexual satisfaction starts to wane. And sure, they make their fair share of bedroom errors. But as the saying goes, it takes two to tango. As it turns out, that woman makes plenty of sex mistakes of their own. Here are the six most common mistakes a woman makes in the bedroom and what you can do to get the satisfaction you so rightly deserve.

Sex Mistake #1: Not Initiating Sex With Your Partner - Many of us worry about lady-like behavior. We don’t want to appear pushy or come on too strong for fear of being labeled aggressive. According to Dr Archana Shah, consultant gynecologist and fertility –IVF specialist, failing to initiate sex is one of the biggest mistakes women make. Generally, men want to be pursued by their partners just as much as women do. Holding onto outdated ideas about sex roles also inhibits satisfaction with their sexual relationships. Show your interest by taking the first step from time to time. Your partner will likely appreciate it, and you may find a new level of satisfaction in taking responsibility for your sexual experience, something I feel strongly women must do.

Sex Mistake #2: Worrying About What You Look Like - Thinking about how you look during sex stops you from enjoying yourself and ruins your chances of achieving an orgasm. Don’t think about the fat on your belly or the makeup on your face. Concentrate on the pleasure of the act. You must give yourself permission to have an orgasm. Men want their wives to abandon themselves in sex play, and that’s not likely if she is anxious about her physical concerns. Men don’t notice half the things women obsess about anyway. It’s amazing what men don’t notice if you’re enthusiastic, energetic, interested in them, and flexible minded.”

Sex Mistake #3: Assuming Sex Is Casual for a Man - We should all let go of old-fashioned notions, such as women are not sexual or that sex is just sex to men. For some men, sex is a very important act. Don’t minimize it. The idea that both men and women find sexual intimacy in the context of a committed relationship to be more satisfying. Never assume that a man is not romantic. Two huge mistakes in this culture are that women are not sexual and that men are not as romantic [as women].

Sex Mistake #4: Believing He’s Always Up for Sex - Sure, most teenage boys are ready and willing just about any time you ask, but not true for men. The pressures of everyday life -- family, work, money -- can zap a man’s libido. This comes as a big surprise to many women, and often his lack of interest in sex is something we take personally. It comes as such a shock [to women] that they just don’t believe it, the reaction many women have when their partner says they aren’t in the mood for sex. They know themselves that they are not always interested in sex but they still love the man. But when they discover he doesn’t want to have sex, they think, ‘he doesn’t love me.’ Not true. He just doesn’t want to have sex.

Sex Mistake #5: Not Giving Him Guidance - Talking very directly about sex, what we like and don’t like can make us feel uncomfortable, even with a partner we’ve been with for a long time. But it’s the only way to achieve a satisfying sexual relationship. A woman must take responsibility for her sexual encounter. No man can bring a woman to orgasm if she doesn’t take responsibility for her sexual experience. Even the best lover can’t know what she needs without her letting him know. However, the good news is that men very much want to please women. If you can tell them in a way that doesn’t kill their ego, they will appreciate it. I advises women to sandwich what they don’t like in between five things they do, because he’s listening. You won’t find out until the next time you’re in bed with him. But men do listen, particularly if you’re quite clear about it.

Sex Mistake #6: Getting Upset When He Suggests Something New - After a couple has been together for a while, it’s natural to want to spice things up with a little variety. Just because your man wants to try something new doesn’t mean he’s unhappy with you or your sex life. In short: Don’t take it personally.

Do You Have the Obesity Gene?

Do You Have the Obesity Gene?

Obesity is a global epidemic, affecting almost all areas of human health, from heart disease to cancer, and impacting upon most of the major causes of preventable death. However, in recent years, obesity has increased dramatically in many parts of the world with India ranking third in the world’s most obese countries. Although diet and lifestyle choices play a big role, obesity might be in your genes, according to a recent study.

With over 50% of obesity being attributed to genetics, obesity can be an inherited condition. We inherit a lot more from our parents and grand-parents than our skin, hair colour and intelligence, but also predisposition to conditions such as obesity. Understanding one’s genetic profile can help individuals understand their body type and tailor their diets to foods best suited to them.

The obesity gene – FTO

The FTO gene, commonly called the obese gene is a major contributor to obesity in individuals. One version of this gene makes impulse control difficult, affecting your food choice and makes it difficult to maintain a healthy weight. Several other genes such as MC4R, INSIG, TCF7L2, LEP, IRS, have also been found to contribute to obesity. While genes do play some role in causing a predisposition to obesity, they are not entirely to blame. According to a study published by Harvard School of Public Health, ‘Active adults who carried the obesity-promoting gene had a 30 percent lower risk of obesity than inactive adults who carried the gene’. In addition to genetics, there are several factors that play a role – unhealthy lifestyles, diet inadequate in nutrients but rich in calories, higher stress levels, physical inactivity, rise in conditions such as diabetes, hormonal imbalances, in fertility etc.

Genetic tests are available nowadays to tell you what type of genes that you carry and your susceptibility to obesity. Personalised weight management programs are more effective than one size fits all approach that provides generic advice.

Simple dietary modifications can help you to overcome risks of gaining weight that might be caused due to your obesity genes:

  1. Drink 1 glass of water before every meal that you consume. This helps you to make you feel full and eat less.
  2. Slow paced eating (20-25 minutes) helps you to feel full and also aids in digestion.
  3. Protein rich breakfast such as two egg whites or 1 cup of pulses will help you to maintain your satiety.
  4. High fibre diet (at least 3-4 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruits) will help you to lose weight.
  5. Adding a variety to your diet will also help you to lose weight.

Mr. lybrate-user, The drug mentioned can be given to her, as an additional compound and to help improve blood glucose control. If it helps it good enough. But do not stop the current treatment. Because for controlling diabetes modern medicines are the only option. If it is plain Glycomet, then it helps in reducing Insulin resistance and delays carbohydrate absorption and helps reduce blood glucose level and improves insulin action. Thanks.

Hi sir. I am Chintan joshi .I m a sports teacher. please give me some weight loss plan.
Obesity is one big health issue that is a reason for distress for people of all age groups. There is no miracle treatment for obesity, though homeopathy has been successfully employed as a mode of treatment. The homeopathic treatment for losing weight is constitutional. It requires a detailed case history of the patient and its evaluation for selecting a suitable constitutional remedy. The main causes for weight gain include hypothyroidism, depression, slow activity of intestines, and sedentary life style. Exercise is very essential for weight loss . Homeopathic medicines for weight loss are no substitute for exercise. In Fact exercise along with homeopathic medicine can accentuate the weight loss. controlling diet is also must while using homeopathic medicines for weight loss. Low Carb diet is suggested with homeopathic medicines . Please note that homeopathic medicines are not fat dissolving by nature . They work by stimulating your body's metabolism to burn more fat. Consult online for homeopathic treatment.

Homoeopathic Alternatives To Antibiotics

Homoeopathic Alternatives To Antibiotics

What Are Antibiotics. The word antibiotic comes from the Greek anti meaning ‘against’ and bios meaning ‘life’ (a bacterium is a life form).’ Antibiotics are also known as antibacterials, and they are drugs used to treat infections caused by bacteria. Bacteria are tiny organisms that can sometimes cause illness to humans and animals.

Antibiotics, first used in the 1940s,

An antibacterial is a compound or substance that kills or slows down the growth of bacteria.

Before bacteria can multiply and cause symptoms our immune system can usually destroy them. We have special white blood cells that attack harmful bacteria. Even if symptoms do occur, our immune system can usually cope and fight off the infection.

The first antibiotic was penicillin.

How do antibiotics work?

Although there are a number of different types of antibiotic they all work in one of two ways:

bactericidal antibiotic kills the bacteria. Penicillin is a bactericidal. A bactericidal usually either interferes with the formation of the bacterium’s cell wall or its cell contents.

bacteriostatic stops bacteria from multiplying.

What are antibiotics for? Do antibiotics work against all infections?

An antibiotic is given for the treatment of an infection caused by bacteria. Antibiotics target microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and parasites. However, they are not effective against viruses. If you have an infection it is important to know whether it is caused by bacteria or a virus. Most upper respiratory tract infections, such as the common cold and sore throats are generally caused by viruses – antibiotics do not work against these viruses.

What are the side-effects of antibiotics?

antibiotics can cause more harm than good when they aren’t used the right way

Below is a list of the most common side-effects of antibiotics:

Side-effects range from mild to very serious depending on the antibiotics used, the microbial organisms targeted, and the individual patient.Safety profiles of newer drugs are often not as well established as for those that have a long history of use.

Adverse effects range from fever and nausea to major allergic reactions, including photodermatitis and anaphylaxis.

  1. Diarrhea

  2. Feeling and being sick

  3. Fungal infections of the mouth, digestive tract and vagina

  4. Below is a list of rare side-effects of antibiotics:

  5. Formation of kidney stones (when taking sulphonamides)

  6. Abnormal blood clotting (when taking some cephalosporins)

  7. Sensitivity to sun (when taking tetracyclines)

  8. Blood disorders (when taking trimethoprim)

  9. Deafness (when taking erythromycin and the aminoglycosides)

  10. Allergic reactions to antibiotics

Some patients may develop an allergic reaction to antibiotics – especially penicillins. Side effects might include a rash, swelling of the tongue and face, and difficulty breathing. If you have ever had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic you must tell your doctor and/or pharmacist. Reactions to antibiotics can be very serious, and sometimes fatal – they are called anaphylactic reactions.

Alcohol

Interactions between alcohol and certain antibacterials may occur and may cause side-effects

Use antibiotics with extreme caution and ensure you inform your doctor/pharmacist if:

  1. You have reduced liver or kidney function.

  2. You are pregnant

  3. You are breastfeeding.

Antibiotic Resistance:

One of the foremost concerns in modern medicine is antibiotic resistance. Simply put, if an antibiotic is used long enough, bacteria will emerge that cannot be killed by that antibiotic. This is known as antibiotic resistance. But overprescribing them has resulted in the development of resistant bacteria, which are bacteria that don’t respond to antibiotics that may have worked in the past.  Infections exist today that are caused by bacteria resistant to some antibiotics. The existence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria creates the danger of life-threatening infections that don’t respond to antibiotics.

Bacteria become resistant more quickly when antibiotics are used too often or are not used correctly (such as not taking a full course of antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor).

Misuse-

Though antibiotics are required to treat severe bacterial infections, misuse has contributed to a rise in bacterial resistance.

Self prescription of antibacterials is an example of misuse.

Common forms of antibacterial misuse include excessive use of prophylactic antibiotics in travelers and failure of medical professionals to prescribe the correct dosage of antibioticsw on the basis of the patient’s weight and history of prior use.

Although Antibiotics are operative in eliminating bad bacteria, they also destroy the good bacteria, which is a vital part of our immune system. Good bacteria produce natural Antibiotics, Anticarcinogens and Cholesterol lowering substances and keep our digestive tracts functioning well.

Several transmuted strains of bacteria, are resilient to Antibiotics and are not influenced by the drugs of the pharmaceutical industry.

An Antibiotic or an Anti-viral drug may remove the pathogen, but will not assist in escalating the person’s immune system, thereby, increasing chances of re-infection.Due to side effects with Antibiotics and Antiviral drugs, most people these days are looking at Natural remedies.

Naturopathy or antibiotics-What do I choose and why?

Naturopathy is a traditional healing system that has been used throughout the ages and is now backed by outstanding clinical research. Naturopathy can not only shorten the length and intensity of immune complaints but also help to ward them off in the first place.

Naturopathy helps to build natural immunity by bringing ones overall health and wellbeing into alignment.

Historically Naturopaths would call your immune system your overall vitality and if you have a few too many health complaints in combination, say your digestion and immune system, then your vitality could be viewed as sub optimum. The good news is that Naturopathy has an amazing array of immune boosting herbs that can bring up your vitality in no time at all.

Some examples–

Mushroom extract –  mushrooms in the diet can  strengthen the immune system.

Honey – a very strong antibiotic on the skin, and also its astringent properties helps to heal the cut.  one can apply  honey a couple of times to the stitches, then covered with a large band aid.

Garlic – antibiotic, anti-parasitic and antiseptic when consumed raw, and a boost to the immune system.

Coconut oil – contains lauric acid, medium chain fatty acids that are antifungal and antibiotic.  Coconut oil is awesome for keeping the skin around the stitches moist.

Naturopathy works to proved herbal and nutritional symptomatic relief but can also assist in boosting immunity against viruses and bacteria.

Homeopathic Alternatives to Antibiotics-

Your child is restless all night with a sore throat, cough and fever. You rush your child to the Doctor next morning and the Doctor prescribes an Antibiotic. A few days later, your child is well again. Actually, was it the Antibiotic that helped or did the ailment merely run its course? In another scenario, you have a sinus infection or a bladder infection, and you are prescribed an Antibiotic, after you discontinue the Antibiotic, your symptoms come back, and your Doctor recommends another course of a stronger Antibiotic. Before you recognize, you are taking different Antibiotics for extended periods.

Antibiotics are the leading prescribed drugs and have become a major part of the treatment modality in modern medicine today.

Homoeopathy:a better substitute to antibiotics- It i an effective alternate to antibiotics in infectious diseases, producing no toxic side effects & bringing about rapid recovery. Infectious diseases such as sinusitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, otitis media, gastroenteritis, dysentry, urinary infections, respond well to homoeopathy.

Homeopathic medicine actually gained its greatest popularity primarily due to its impressive successes in the treatment of infectious diseases in the19th century.

What is so different about homeopathy?

Homeopathic medicines are not just composed with different medicinal ingredients, and they are not just the use of smaller doses of medicines. Homeopathy represents a different approach to understanding disease and health.

What also makes homeopathy different (and sometimes more difficult) than conventional medicine is that homeopathic medicines are not prescribed to treat a specific or localized disease but are prescribed to treat specific syndromes of symptoms of which one’s disease is just one part.

In other words, two people may have the common cold, but one would have a thin watery nasal disease that irritates the nostrils, frequent  sneezing, and a headache, all of which are aggravated by warmth. The other would have thick yellowish nasal discharge that doesn’t irritate the nostrils, nasal congestion alternating with nasal discharge, a cough that is relieved in the open air, and no thirst.

In Homeopathy, there is no Antibiotic or Anti viral remedy, because every correctly prescribed Homeopathic remedy has the potential of strengthening a person’s immune system that helps to fight any bacterial or viral infection.

Homeopathy has several advantages, which make it, a preferred alternative over conventional Antibiotics. It is safe with no side effects, does not suppress the immune system

Self – care –Measures along with Homeopathic remedies during an active infection:

  • Eliminate caffeine, alcohol, sugar, dairy, refined foods.

  • Eat lightly.

  • Be well hydrated.

  • Drink warm beverages, like herbal teas.

  • Juice fasting can help during an infection.

  • Strengthen your immune system with yoghurt, foods rich in Vitamin C, Beta-carotene, and zinc.

  • Colon cleansing can help.

  • Steam baths can help detoxify your system during infections.

  • Massage can speed up elimination of toxins, particularly a foot massage.

  • Relax and get enough rest.

  • Local application of turmeric can help skin infections.

  • Hot ginger tea for throat infections.Have a positive mental attitude.

Hence, to summarize, Antibiotics are an interesting group of medications, however, they tend to be over prescribed and toxic. They must be utilized as a last option, not the first.

The use of Homeopathy as a possible alternative to Antibiotics would be more favorable, harmless and cost-effective.

Obesity : Hazards and Homoeopathic Management

Obesity : Hazards and Homoeopathic Management

Homeopathy and obesity – Obesity means having too much body fat. It is not the same as being overweight, which means weighing too much. A person may be overweight from extra muscle, bone, or water, as well as from having too much fat.

In general, women collect fat in their hips and buttocks, giving their figures a “pear” shape. Men, on the other hand, usually collect fat around the belly, giving them more of an “apple” shape.

India is now in the grip of an obesity epidemic and the trend needs to be immediately arrested by taxing junk food, restricting food ads and making food labelling clearer, according to a study. Currently, almost 1 in 5 men and over 1 in 6 women are overweight.

Causes, incidence, and risk factors—-

Taking in more calories than you burn can lead to obesity because the body stores unused calories as fat. Obesity can be caused by:

  1. Eating more food than your body can use

  2. Drinking too much alcohol

  3. Not getting enough exercise

Today, we know that biology is a big reason why some people cannot keep the weight off. Some people who live in the same place and eat the same foods become obese, while others do not. Our bodies have a complex system to help keep our weight at a healthy level.

We are surrounded by things that make it easy to overeat and hard to stay active:

  1. Many people do not have time to plan and make healthy meals.

  2. More people today work desk jobs compared to more active jobs in the past.

  3. People with less free time have less time to exercise.

  4. Obesity is a major health threat. The extra weight puts added stress on every part of your body.

People with obesity are at risk for these health problems:

  1. Bone and joint problems -Excess weight puts extreme pressure on your joints, sometimes causing inflammation in the joints (known as arthritis). Obesity is also a factor in osteoarthritis a form of arthritis that is caused by wear and tear on the joints

  2. Gallstones – Obesity causes the liver to secrete excessive amounts of a fluid called bile, which is stored in the gallbladder. Bile is necessary for the body to digest fats. But an overproduction of bile sets the stage for the formation of gallstone.

  3. Liver problems.

  4. Heartattack from coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, and stroke.

5. Highblood cholesterol and triglycerides (dislipidemia or high blood fats).

6. Highblood pressure (hypertension).

7. Highblood sugar (glucose) or diabetes.

8. Stopping breathing during sleep (sleep apnea). This can cause daytime fatigue or sleepiness, poor attention,    and problems at work.

9. CANCER – Women who are significantly overweight are at increased risk of risk of cancer of the endometrium (the lining of the uterus). If you are obese and your periods are irregular.

10. INFERTILITY – Obesity sometimes leads to changes in hormone levels that can result in a failure of the ovaries to release eggs regularly. This abnormality, called an ovulation, is associated with irregular or absent periods and infertility.

Sometimes, medical problems or treatments cause weight gain, including:

  1. Underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism)

  2. Medicines such as birth control pills, antidepressants, and antipsychotics

  3. Other things that can cause weight gain are:

  4. Quitting smoking. Most people who quit smoking gain 4 – 10 pounds in the first 6 months after quitting. Some people gain as much as 25 – 30 pounds.

  5. Stress, anxiety, feeling sad, or not sleeping well

For women: Menopause — women may gain 12-15 pounds during menopause and not losing the weight they gained during pregnancy.

The two most common ways to measure health risks from your weight are:-

Body mass index (BMI),Waist circumference (your waist measurement in inches).

BMI is measured using height and weight. You and your health care provider can use your BMI to estimate how much body fat you have.

The World Health Organization uses a classification system using the BMI to define overweight and obesity.

  1. A BMI of 25 to 29.9 is defined as a “pre-obese.”

  2. A BMI of 30 to 34.99 is defined as “obese class I.”

  3. A BMI of 35 to 39.99 is defined as “obese class II.”

  4. A BMI of or greater than 40.00 is defined as “obese class III.”

Treatment-

CHANGING YOUR LIFESTYLE

An active lifestyle and regular exercise, along with healthy eating, is the best way to lose weight. Even modest weight loss can improve your health. You will need a lot of support from family and friends.

When dieting, your main goal should be to learn new, healthy ways of eating and make them a part of your daily routine.

Many people find it hard to change their eating habits and behaviors. You may have practiced some habits for so long that you may not even know they are unhealthy, or you do them without thinking. You need to be motivated to make lifestyle changes. Make the behavior change part of your life over the long term. Know that it takes time to make and keep a change in your lifestyle.

Work with your health care provider and dietitian to set realistic, safe daily calorie counts that help you lose weight while staying healthy. Remember that if you drop pounds slowly and steadily, you are more likely to keep them off. Your dietitian can teach you about:

  1. Healthy food choices,Healthy snacks,Sweetened drinks,How to read the nutrition labels.

  2. Blood tests may be done to look for thyroid or hormone problems that could lead to weight gain.

  3. New ways to prepare food.

  4. A modest weight loss of 5%-10% of the initial weight, and long-term maintenance of that weight loss can bring significant health gains, including

  5. Lowered blood pressure reduced blood levels of cholesterol;reduced risk of type 2 (adult-onset) diabetes (In the Nurses Health Study, women who lost 5 kilograms (11 pounds) of weight reduced their risk of diabetes by 50% or more.);Decreased chance of stroke;decreased complications of heart disease;decreased overall mortality.

  6. Learn new ways to manage stress, rather than snacking. Examples may be meditation, yoga, or exercise. If you are depressed or stressed a lot, talk to your health care provider.

MEDICATIONS AND HERBAL REMEDIES

You may see ads for supplements and herbal remedies that claim they will help you lose weight. Many of these claims are not true, and some of these supplements can have serious side effects. Talk to your health care provider before using them.

Several prescription weight loss drugs are available. Most people lose between 5 and 10 pounds by taking these drugs. Most people also regain the weight when they stop taking the medicine, unless they have made lasting lifestyle changes, such as exercising and cutting unhealthy foods from their diet.

HOMOEOPATHY AND WEIGHT MANAGEMENT- There are a lot of treatment options and remedies available in the market for obesity. But almost all of them are associated with serious side effects and toxicity except homeopathy. In homeopathy there are around 180 remedies for obesity. The choice of remedy depends upon the complete case history of the patient.

For example, Fucus v is chose by a homeopath when the patient also has thyroid problem and is constipation. Phytolacca berry is chosen when we have to increase the metabolic rate. And Calcarea carbonicum if the patient is fair, fatty and flabby with depression and constipation. So, in homeopathy the choice of remedy depends upon the complete symptomatology of the patient.

In medical practice I use the homeopathic program for obesity or weight management. This program consists of  Cs –

1 .Change– Use smaller plates, do not read or watch TV while eating, chew every bite twenty times.

2.Control– The right homeopathic remedy with a help of a professional homeopath to control obesity.

3.Cleanse– Drink lots of water. Yoga /Exercise atleast 45 minutes daily. All the above mobilize the accumulated toxic substances in the body to be washed away.

4.Caloric Reduction– Eat lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits with high fibre content and low calories and sugar.

Thus, homeopathy offers a safe, long lasting and holistic solution for fat loss in obese people. The remedies are composed of natural elements in minuscule doses with absolutely no side effects.

Vitamin B - Why Is It Important?

Vitamin B is not one vitamin, but is a complex of 8 vitamins, which not only essential for a good health, but also enables smooth functioning of various functions of the body. Further, each of the vitamin B complexes has specific body functions ranging from iron metabolism to hair health to preventing migraineOur body requires vitamin substances, as stated by their names.

  • Vitamin B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6, B7 (biotin), B9 (folate), B12.

  • Vitamin B complex is widely present in food sources, and in someone who eats a well-balanced diet would be getting the required amounts of vitamin B complex.

  • Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, is required for the body to make new cells and so has a significant role in the immune system. It ias also known as the anti-stress vitamin as it helps in improving immunity. It also is required for breakdown of carbohydrates.

  • Vitamin B2, chemically known as riboflavin, is essential for red blood cell production and transporting oxygen throughout the body. It also has antioxidant properties by reducing free radicals. This also has antiaging properties and reduces the onset of heart disease.

  • Vitamin B3, also known as niacin, is essential for cholesterol regulation. It promotes the formation of good cholesterol and so essential for preventing the onset of heart disease. It also is shown to have anti-acne effects.

  • Vitamin B5, pantothenic acid, is essential for fat and carbohydration metabolism. It also is required for the production of hormones including testosterone and cortisol (stress hormones). It is also beneficial to the skin by reducing antiaging effects including reducing brown spots.

  • Vitamin B6 or pyridoxine, has a major role to play in sleep and mood regulation. It produces various neurotransmitters like serotonin, melatonin, and norepinephrine which are essential for emotional well-being. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and is useful in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis.

  • Vitamin B9 or folate or folic acid is again very essential in pregnancy as deficiency can lead to neurological defects in the developing baby. It also plays a major role in carrying oxygen to the cells through the RBCs.

  • Vitamin B12 or cobalamin is essential to ensure the other vitamins are functioning properly. B12 deficiency leads to anaemia, as it enables the red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body. It is mostly present in non-vegetarian foods and supplements are commonly given in anaemic people.
