Definitely you are suffering from allergic rhinitis. You may be allergic to dust, cold etc. There are so many drugs in homoeopathy.

How to Overcome Snoring

1. Loose weight: Can reduce fatty tissue in the back of the throat and decrease or even stop snoring.

2. Exercise can also help to stop snoring: As well aiding weight loss, exercising your arms, legs, and abs, for example, also leads to toning the muscles in your throat, which in turn can lead to less snoring.

3. Quit smoking: Smoking irritates the membranes in the nose and throat which can block the airways and cause snoring.

4. Avoid alcohol, sleeping pills, and sedatives because they relax the muscles in the throat and interfere with breathing.

5. Establish regular sleep patterns: Create a healthy bedtime ritual with your partner and stick to it. 6.Clear nasal passages. If you have a stuffy nose, rinse sinuses with saline before bed. If you have allergies, reduce dust mites and pet dander in your bedroom or use an allergy medication. Pt nasoclear nasal drop inboth nostril before sllep.

7. Keep bedroom air moist: Dry air can irritate membranes in the nose and throat, so if swollen nasal tissues are the problem, a humidifier may help.

8. Change your sleeping position: Elevating your head four inches may ease breathing and encourage your tongue and jaw to move forward. Sleep on your side instead of your back.

9. Try an anti-snoring mouth appliance.

10. Throat Exercises to Prevent Snoring

a. Repeat each vowel (a-e-i-o-u) out loud for three minutes a few times a day

b. Place the tip of your tongue behind your top front teeth. Slide your tongue backwards for three minutes a day.

c. Close your mouth and purse your lips. Hold for 30 seconds.

d. With mouth open, move jaw to the right and hold for 30 seconds. Repeat on left side.

e. With mouth open, contract the muscle at the back of your throat repeatedly for 30 seconds.

You can apply these home remedies for relief: • Take 1/2 piece of ginger, crush it and squze its juice and mix it with one teaspoon of honey and take 1/2 spoon of this mixture 2 times in a day. • Take 4 - 5 tulsi leaves and 1/2 piece of ginger and 1 glass of water mix both of them in water and boil it till half glass of water remain in the container then drink it by add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. • Avoid cold water, ice creams, and pickle. • Take strepsils or sualiin (hamdard pharma) 1 tablet 3 times per day or slowly suck a piece of mulethi. • Doing gargles with lukewarm water it will reduce your pain.

Best remedy is warm water gargles with some salt added in it, then have turmeric a pinch of it. These two are the best for throat infection.

Hello. For sore throat: - Avoid cold things, fried/ oily food. -Avoid excessive use of voice/ roughly using voice or else shouting. - Gargle with salt and warm water solution thrice daily. - Take Ginger tea. - Avoid excessive cold air or sudden change of temperature (like coming from heat/ sunlight to an A/C room). - Can cover your throat with a stole. Medication: Take homoeopathic medications - Schwabe's Alpha- CF/ 1 tab. And SBL's Stodal cough lozenges – all of them thrice a day daily- for 4 days. Get your blood tested (empty stomach) for – CBC, ESR, AEC, TFT; also, sputum examination, an X-ray (chest), (In case required, may advise you some other tests later). Revert me with the reports for proper treatment.

When you snore, structures in the mouth and throat’the tongue, upper throat, soft palate, and uvula’vibrate against the tonsils and adenoids. There are many possible causes. Overweight people are more likely to snore, and experts think it’s because the extra fatty tissue compresses the air passages. Drinking alcohol before bedtime is another factor: It causes throat muscles to relax and tissues to sag. And whenever you have nasal congestion from a cold or allergies, you’re more likely to snore, because inflamed tissues and extra mucus interfere with airflow. Tricks to prevent snoring Try the following preventive measures to reduce or eliminate snoring. Changing your sleeping position may be all it takes, but a larger project’namely, losing weight’is often the real ticket to tranquil nights. ‘ Buy yourself a few extra pillows and prop yourself up in bed, rather than lying flat on your back. You’ll prevent the tissues in your throat from falling into your air passages. ‘ Elevate the head of your bed. An easy way to do it is to place several flat boards under the legs at the top end of the bed. A couple of short lengths of two-by-eights or two-by-tens under each leg should raise the bed enough to do the trick. ‘ Sleep on your side. Of course, there’s no guarantee you’ll stay in that position, but at least start on your side with your arms wrapped around a pillow. There’s a good reason you don’t want to sleep on your back: In that position, your tongue and soft palate rest against the back of your throat, blocking the airway. ‘ If hugging a pillow doesn’t help, you can ace the problem with service from a sewn-in tennis ball. Here’s how: Sew a little pouch on the back of your pajama top and tuck a tennis ball inside. At night, if you start to roll on your back while you’re sleeping, you’ll get a nudge from that tennis ball, prompting you to get back on your side. ‘ If nasal congestion is causing your snoring, take a decongestant or antihistamine before you turn in. ‘ Tape your nose open with nasal strips, available at most drugstores. They may look odd, but who’s watching? Following the directions on the package, tape one of the strips to the outside of your nose before you fall asleep. They’ll lift and open your nostrils to increase airflow. ‘ Gargle with a peppermint mouthwash to shrink the lining of your nose and throat. This is especially effective if your snoring is a temporary condition caused by a head cold or an allergy. To mix up the herbal gargle, add one drop of peppermint oil to a glass of cold water. (But only gargle’do not swallow.) ‘ It sounds extreme, but some people have used a neck brace‘the kind people with whiplash wear’to stop their snoring. It works by keeping your chin extended so your throat doesn’t bend and your airway stays open. You don’t have to use a stiff plastic brace, however. A soft foam one, available at drugstores or medical supply stores, is less restraining and will work just as well. ‘ Reduce bedroom allergens (dust, pet dander, mold) to alleviate nasal stuffiness by vacuuming floors and drapes. Change sheets and pillowcases often. ‘ If your snoring is a seasonal problem’and you know you’re allergic to pollen’try drinking up to three cups of tea made from the herb stinging nettle. Herbalists recommend it for soothing inflammation caused by pollen allergies. To make the tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1 tablespoon of the dried leaf (available in health-food stores). Cover the tea and let it steep for 5 minutes. Strain and drink. Drink one cup of tea just before bedtime. ‘ Don’t eat a heavy meal or drink alcoholic beverages within three hours of turning in. Both can cause your throat muscles to relax more than normal. ‘ Snoring improves as you shed some weight. Losing 10 percent of your body weight can help by easing constriction of the upper airway. ‘ Quit smoking. Tobacco smoke irritates mucous membranes, so your throat swells, narrowing the airway. Smokers also have more problems with nasal congestion. ‘ If you’re regularly taking any kind of medication, talk to your doctor about alternatives. Some drugs can make snoring worse, including sleeping pills and sedatives. ‘ Dry air can contribute to snoring. There are lots of ways to do battle with dry air. A humidifier or steam vaporizer in the bedroom can keep your air passages moist; just be sure to clean it regularly, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Another approach: Just before bedtime, fill a bowl with hot water, drape a towel over your head, bend over the bowl so your nose is roughly 15 centimeters from the water, and breathe deeply through your nose for a few minutes. A short course in snoring self-defense If you’re living with someone who snores, there’s a better than even chance the nightly sonorities are fraying your relationship. But remember, other spouses and partners have dealt with this too’and survived. So before you head for the hills, consider some practical methods to deal with the rumblings of your otherwise lovable bedmate. ‘ Buy yourself a pair of earplugs. They are inexpensive and quite comfortable, once you get accustomed to them. ‘ A white-noise machine can make nights with a snorer more bearable. These electronic devices produce a consistent sound that muffles other noises. ‘ Turn in well before your snoring spouse. That way, at least, you have a head start on a good night’s sleep. When to see the doctor about snoring Loud, excessive snoring can signal sleep apnea, a potentially dangerous condition that requires treatment. Contact your doctor if you’re a loud snorer who stops breathing for short periods when you’re asleep. You should also notify the doctor if you sometimes wake up gasping for breath, if you wake up with headaches, or if you’re sleepy during the day. Sleep apnea can reduce levels of oxygen in the blood, eventually leading to elevated blood pressure and an enlarged heart. In addition to lifestyle modifications (losing weight or changing your sleeping position), some doctors sometimes recommend a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device for nightly use. Hi Frequent throat infections can also occur secondary due to sinus infections if you have post nasal drip constantly. You will need to get a nasal endoscopy done to rule out any sinus pathology.as you have frequent headaches it can likely because of sinus issues get a sinus x ray done also. Can do steam inhalation twice a day for few days. Do warm water gargling for throat pain.

Treat Earaches the Natural Way

Earaches can cause great discomfort. Most of them occur due to infection in the ear. As a result fluid may collect in the middle ear that causes pain. Some other reasons may be physical damage to the inner structure of the ear, buildup of wax in the ear, blockage of nasal passage or may be common cold. Sometimes these may call for medical intervention.

However, simple earaches can be treated with the help of these easy natural home remedies:

1. Garlic

Garlic has antibiotic and analgesic properties that help to relieve earaches.

- Crush a small piece of garlic and heat with 2 teaspoon of sesame oil. Filter and cool it.

- Put 2-3 drops in the infected ear.

2. Ginger

Ginger too like garlic has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

- Take 1 teaspoon of ginger juice and mix it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil

- Put 2-3 drops in the hurting ear to get relief

3. Apple Cider Vinegar

A potent substance, apple cider vinegar works well for all types of health problems including earaches

- Put 2-3 drops in the infected ear

- Repeat again after 12 hours to get relief

4. Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree oil with its anti-bacterial features is also effective remedy for earaches.

- Add a few drops to a tablespoon of olive oil and warm them

- Take 2-3 drops of this oil and put it into the infected ear for relief

5. Juice from Mango Leaves

  Mango leaves too have an antibiotic action and can relieve earache.

- Extract juice by crushing 3-4 fresh mango leaves

- Slightly warm up this extract

- Put 2-3 drops in the ear that hurts

6. Drink Herbal Tea  

Herbal Tea made from Chamomile or Holy Basil provides warmth and can help to get rid of infections. With relaxing and healing properties, these herbal teas can be used to get relief from earaches.

7. Rubs for Earache

- Mix 10 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil along with 10 drops of Lavender Essential oil in ¼ cup of Olive oil.

- Rub few drops from this oil around the ears to get relief from inflammation and infection of the ears.

- You can also rub Lemon Balm instead of essential oils to ease pain in the ears.

"For Sinus and Nose problems, try taking steam inhalation for 3 times a day. To know how to take steam, please read instructions below to know - how to take steam inhalation for best results. If problem is not solved in 2-3 days, you may need additional medicines. Techniques to steam 1) Boil a pot of water. 2) Pour water into a large flat pan or bowl. If you use a casserole, water will remain warm for longer duration. 3) Place your head over the bowl at a distance of 1 feet. 4) Cover your head and bowl with a large towel (like a tent), take long breath through your nose and breath out through mouth. Take a break every 1-2 minutes until you feel relatively cooler. Do it for 10 minute twice or thrice a day. If you feel that the treatment is getting too much for you, raise the towel so that fresh air is brought into the area and breathe through your mouth a couple of times and then resume Take care - Take all precautions while dealing with hot water. Also, keep children away and wan others that you are dealing with boiling hot water. Other way is - by an Electric steamer available in market and take steam through it. It is more convenient. "

I have frequent headache, sleeplessness, occasional pain in the neck, throat pain and muscle ache. What's wrong with me?
Headache can be due to multiple reasons. High blood pressure/ problems of near or distant vision. Not using spectacles/ change required in glasses power. Nose/ ear / throat infection/ sinus infection/tooth infection. For treatment of specific cause of disease, consult your doctor. However rest/ steam inhalation/ applying balm on fore head/ tea /coffee may help. Throat pain can be due to upper respiratory infection. There can be fever/ cough/ headache/ nasal discharge. Warm saline gargles, steam inhalation/ drinking hot fluids like water/tea/coffee/soup may give relief. Keeping lozenges in mouth may give soothing feeling. For specific medication consult your doctor 9. Sleep hygiene is term used for availing sound sleep. Bed should be cushioned, no wrinkles on bed sheet. Loose night suit, no light or sound of ticking clock/ noise from mobile in the room, small soft pillow. No tea /coffee/ excessive water/ overeating, before going to bed. Sleep has two phases, rem (rapid eye movement) sleep and nrem (non rapid eye movement) sleep. These phases keep alternating at some interval. Rem sleep is sound sleep and dreams are experienced in this phase. Going to sleep while sitting in bus /chair (cat nap) occur in rem sleep. If you experience one rem sleep/cat nap, you will have satisfaction of adequate sleep. If you hit the bed during nrem sleep phase then you will keep tossing in bed till rem sleep phase come. Don't carry your office tension to bed room.
