Hello and welcome to lybrate, as per your concern, I do not think that fruit worm has anything to do with ear ache. The things we eat goes to our stomach and get digested by acid. Worms in the ear are generally due to maggots and does not go into the ear by eating. But ear ache might be due to local cause, systemic cause and also referred pain from tooth, tonsil, sinus etc. So please get checked by a local ent surgeon. Thanks.

My problems are 1. Due to shift change ...
Too frequent shift changes can have effect on normal sleep architecture and hence are not recommended too often, plus the place of sleep should be as far as possible cool, comfortable, noise free and dark for a good sleep. If you have concern of loud noise damaging the ears at work place you may choose to use ear plugs that prevent noise while working.

7 Ayurveda Tips for EarAches and Ear Health

Treat Earaches the Natural Way

Earaches can cause great discomfort. Most of them occur due to infection in the ear. As a result fluid may collect in the middle ear that causes pain. Some other reasons may be physical damage to the inner structure of the ear, buildup of wax in the ear, blockage of nasal passage or may be common cold. Sometimes these may call for medical intervention.

However, simple earaches can be treated with the help of these easy natural home remedies:

1. Garlic

Garlic has antibiotic and analgesic properties that help to relieve earaches.

- Crush a small piece of garlic and heat with 2 teaspoon of sesame oil. Filter and cool it.

- Put 2-3 drops in the infected ear.

2. Ginger

Ginger too like garlic has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

- Take 1 teaspoon of ginger juice and mix it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil

- Put 2-3 drops in the hurting ear to get relief

3. Apple Cider Vinegar

A potent substance, apple cider vinegar works well for all types of health problems including earaches

- Put 2-3 drops in the infected ear

- Repeat again after 12 hours to get relief

4. Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree oil with its anti-bacterial features is also effective remedy for earaches.

- Add a few drops to a tablespoon of olive oil and warm them

- Take 2-3 drops of this oil and put it into the infected ear for relief

5. Juice from Mango Leaves

Mango leaves too have an antibiotic action and can relieve earache.

- Extract juice by crushing 3-4 fresh mango leaves

- Slightly warm up this extract

- Put 2-3 drops in the ear that hurts

6. Drink Herbal Tea

Herbal Tea made from Chamomile or Holy Basil provides warmth and can help to get rid of infections. With relaxing and healing properties, these herbal teas can be used to get relief from earaches.

7. Rubs for Earache

- Mix 10 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil along with 10 drops of Lavender Essential oil in ¼ cup of Olive oil.

- Rub few drops from this oil around the ears to get relief from inflammation and infection of the ears.

- You can also rub Lemon Balm instead of essential oils to ease pain in the ears.

I have problem in my ear, doctor suggested operation which take one hour. Kya ye surgery type operation hota hai.
Yes both are same, operation and surgery are same, if any disease which can not corrected by medications than surgical expulsion is must, this is the part which is mutilated and hence needs expulsion, as soon as this part is removed patient gets instant relief.

I am 54 years old I have blocked nose problem for many years now, I take otrivin regularly and I cannot live without it. Due to this I have snoring and disturbed sleep every day leading to subsequent problems in day to day life. What is the permanent solution to it other than surgery which was told to be a temp relief solution as the same problem can reoccur.

Diploma in Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (D.O.R.L), M.B.B.S
ENT Specialist, Pune
Hello nasal blockage can be due to deviated nasal septum, hypertrophied turbinates, allergic conditions or infection. If you have been using otrivin for a long time that itself can cause rebound nasal congestion. You need to get examined by an ent surgeon to know whether any surgery can help you solve your problem permanently. If in any case you are not willing for surgery there is something called cpap machine for snoring & sleep apnoea. You have to get a polysomnography done before going for it. Lifestyle changes also help. No any particular medicine available for snoring. You need to stop using otrivin.

Hello lybrate-user, do not clear your ear, the pain in ear is due to cleaning, so leave it as it is cos the shape of ear is such type by nature that it cleans up automatically and need not required any cleaning, if needed than consult your ent surgeon only. Good luck and take care.

Sir please tell me nasal allergy due to dryness of mouth and throat is it possible.

BHMS

Sir please tell me nasal allergy due to dryness of mouth and throat is it possible.
In Allopathy, anti-histaminics or immunosuppressant medicines like steroids are used which only give temporary relief, with the problem returning once the medicine is stopped. On the other hand, during Homeopathy treatment of allergy is cured by strengthening the immune system and the symptoms subside on their own. At the same time, it needs to be understood that this is purely natural allergy treatment. No steroids or anti allergic medicines are used. The immunity is strengthened by Homeopathy instead of being suppressed as happens with allopathic treatment. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance.

If a person suffering from nasal obstruction along with sinusitis and mild to moderate nasal allergies it means most probably he is suffering from dns (deviated nasal septum. Nasal obstruction is because of the deviated portion of the nasal septum (this is the bony partition of the nose cavity. Allergies are because of the hampered muco-ciliary mechanism (normally mucus is produced in the nose to moisten our nose cavity, oral cavity, and help food bolus to move downward, this mucus is basically moves on the cilia of the nasal mucosa) this mechanism gets hampered and mucus start accumulating in the nose and sinus cavity which is why thick mucus comes from nose in patients of nose obstruction and person develops sinusitis. When a surgeon removes the nasal septum deviation has not been removed properly the symptoms persists, and patient thinks that the nose bone has again regrown. It is not because of regrowth but because of half surgery done or due to the non removal of the deviation (reason can be many) nowadays nasal septal deviation can be removed endoscopically. Everything is explained in this, I hope this will benefit you.

Sir I have a problem of snoring due to give bone of my nose and also feel unhealthy for breathing and have cold.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Bangalore
Hi, please follow these tips to stop snoring: - reduce your weight if you are obese. - perform pranayama (breathing exercises) everyday. - quit smoking which irritates the mucosal layer of the nose and throat and causes blockage and results in snoring. - quit alcohol and sedatives which relax the throat muscles and results in snoring. - sleep on sides instead on back. - elevate the head by using a thick pillow which eases the breathing. - clear the nose before going to bed. - establish regular sleep pattern. - keep the bedroom air moist by using humidifier; as dry air irritates the mucosal membrane in the nose and throat. - perform throat exercises like repeating the vowels a, e, i, o, you loudly for 2-3 mins few times a day or keeping the tongue behind the teeth and moving it backwards - 3-4 times a day. - anti snoring appliances can also be used.
