I have an desk job and in last two year my weight is increasing from 70 to 85. How can I lose it?
Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt and a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow: 1. Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drink excessive alcohol and eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2. Lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. 3. Physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch tv whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4. Eat healthy and eat on time: Not only eating healthy is important but eating at right time is equally imp too. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here you go: A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G. Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H. Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen everyday. Slow and steady wins the race.

Weight Loss - An Up-Hill Task That Can Take You Places

Fitness or weight-loss is not just about looking good or fitting into your favourite outfit, it goes way beyond it. It speaks about you. It shows how much you love your body and shows amount of self-discipline you have imbibed in your lifestyle.

A lot of people complain that they do not have time to exercise and eat healthy. It's important to remember that, if you do not find time for health and fitness now, you will have to find time for illness later. Though, it is true that weight issues are uncomfortable to deal with, it is also important to understand that when weight problems go untreated or ignored, they may become a breeding ground for a lot of other problems such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and other lifestyle diseases. Therefore, to ensure a healthy body, it is imperative to manage body weight and find time to exercise regularly.

Getting rid of excessive weight: There are two pillars for weight loss. Diet and exercise. A well balanced diet can control further weight gain and assure overall health, exercise is must for weight reduction. 30 mins walk (to start with), with well-balanced diet (depending on your health condition) can lead to gradual and healthy weight loss.

There are a number of things that can be done to shed off extra kilos and get back into shape. Here are the most important ones:

Get on a healthy diet as soon as possible: Weight loss is a metabolic process, and body needs carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins and water to execute this process. Dieting or eating less will deprive the body from many of these essential nutrients. So forget weight loss, body won't be able to even function properly. As a result, there can be deficiencies, weakened immune system, tiredness and many more undesirable symptoms. For guidance on healthy diet, seek help of a weight loss consultant or nutritionist.

Working out: This is the second pillar for weight loss. Your choice of exercise may be a brisk walk, jogging, joining dance lessons or hitting a gym. Make sure that the exercise regime you choose, is challenging for your body. Toughen the regime as you start getting comfortable with it.

Be persistent: It is important to be regular and diligent with your diet and exercise regime. Self-discipline will take you a long way. Make sure you enjoy your food and exercise, this way you will be able to carry on for a longer duration. While all the aspects of losing weight are important at some point in the process, the most important part is to have an expert by your side who will provide correct counselling and a personalized diet and exercise plan, specifically to meet your needs. When you choose the best doctors and dietitians to help you, you will get there sooner than you can imagine.

It all depends on your motivation and never give up attitude. No you will lose weight needed you change your thinking and attitude towards permanent natural weight loss. The major hurdle is self sympathy while following diet that we r cursing our body, feeling missing out on certain foods, etc. We should just feel that we are gifting ourselves good health and good looks. Look at you after that, a happier you. You should take a metabolism boosting diet. Which includes lot of therapeutic foods like wheat grass, lemon grass, ginseng root extracts, cinnamon extracts etc. Take Personalised diet consultation for best results and guidance.

Your BMI is 28.5, placing you in the overweight category. You have to persist with a low carbohydrate and low fat high protein diet. Stop all cereals, sugar, bakery products and desserts. Take the white of 2 boiled eggs and lots of fruits and green vegetables and salads. If you don't loose weight soon you will develop diabetes and high BP and need Bariatric surgery. For more details read the health tips I have written on this website OR send me a personal question.

How can I loose my tummy fat. Which food can I take and what type of exercises are better.
If you're on a diet, you're probably already working out a couple of times a week. (No? Well, you should start!) But whether you exercise or not, you can get a leg up on all those other weight-loss wannabes by doing a little something extra each day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator; walk to the bus, train, or all the way to the office; window-shop with your best friend rather than sit over coffee. Taking the dog out, gardening and even housecleaning all increase the number of calories you expend. You don't have to go for a jog (although that would help!) to speed up weight loss. Twenty minutes of moderate exercise a day means you'll burn approximately 700 calories.

Hello, See, as per your height and age, the weight should be in range of 55kgs to 62kgs. It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Remember, there's no magic bullet for weight loss. The key to losing weight is burning more calories than you consume. Choose a variety of healthy foods — such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean sources of protein — and include physical activity in your daily routine. Go through the following general guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. Preferably brisk walking, swimming, cycling, skipping. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals. When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than other tissues, so you're actually working against your goals 11: Eat at home. Going out to eat makes it too easy to cheat. Food sold at restaurants is commonly much higher in fat, sodium, and other weight-loss killers. 12: Give yourself a treat now and then. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. 13: Go for a health walk. Gear up yourself daily for a health walk which not only shed off your extra calorie, but also reduces the stress levels. 14: Take small frequent breaks for a quick walk in between as sitting for long hours together encourages the accumulation of fat in the body! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 3 months. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. (Slow and steady weight loss is good. As we all know when you lose weight fast, it seems to jump right back on, whereas when you lose weight steadily over time because of changes to your diet and balancing your hormones out it tends to stay off.) All the best!

Losing weight is challenging, but it's even more daunting if you are living with painful arthritis. Carrying extra pounds can have a big impact on how you feel. Being overweight also puts you at greater risk for arthritis. More weight puts more pressure on your joints, and extra body fat increases inflammation in the body. Plan your diet around inflammation-fighting foods. Include fish, walnuts, flaxseeds in the diet. They are excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids can help with joint stiffness and pain. Choose whole grain cereals like oatmeal, jowar, bajra, whole wheat products instead of refined and processed products. Include adequate amounts of proteins in the diet. Vegetarian sources include soya and their products, pulses and legumes, dairy and dairy products. Non-vegetarian sources like lean meats such as skinless chicken, fish and egg. Eat at least 4-5 servings of cut fruits and vegetables instead of juice. Drink plenty of water throughout the day at least 3-4litres/day. Decrease total fat and saturated fat intake. Reduce the intake of salt and preservatives and Limit the intake of caffeine.

I want to follow Keto diet for weight loss. Does it have any side effects and any health complications?

I want to follow Keto diet for weight loss. Does it have any side effects and any health complications?
Keto diet is an extreme diet where in you literally say good bye to Carbs and get max calories from Fats ( 70%) and Proteins (25%) and balance from Carbs(5%). This is completely different from the traditional diet and food habits. Such fad diets keep appearing and disappearing and cause lot of harm to the users. This diet assumes that giving up Carbs will solve all the problems. I have seen many people in last 30 years try all types of extreme diets and after one/two months they are back to square one.... And later on they put on more weight than they where they started from. .. Any diet which is radically different from your regular pattern will upset your mind and body and can't be sustained in the long run.. It is always better to make sensible and gradual changes that you can sustain lifelong rather than abrupt changes. The success of any diet should not be gauged from what it does over 2 months, but what happens after 2 years.
