Hairfall can be due to number of reasons such as: - prolonged/ severe illness such as typhoid, tb, major surgery - crash dieting, anemia - hormonal imbalance - hypothyroidism, pcod etc - intake of drugs such as some antihypertensives, anticoagulants - deficiency of various essential nutrients. - in males, it could also be because of genetic factors and dht the cause should be treated if possible. Treatment of the cause, where possible, is important. General precautions include: - take diet rich in iron, calcium and proteins - use mild shampoos only (shampoos generally do not regrow hair, only prevent excessive fall) - do not use excessive chemicals on hair - also, avoid procedures such as ironing, hot air blow drying of hair, rebounding etc.

I would suggest you do a pregnancy test first. If negative and periods do not resume by tomorrow start modus tablet-10mg three times a day for seven days to initiate a period.

Take tab pause mf twice a day for three days and get done scan. Usually if endometrial thinking is more or fibroids leads to heavy bleeding. Once it's not there then no need to get worry.

If you can follow few basic things then you will get better results in short period of time 1) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals 2) don’t drink water one hour before meals and one hour after meal 3) avoid oily, fermented and stale foods 4) drink lukewarm water regularly as possible 5) sleep upto 10.30 pm… 6) do anuloma viloma pranayam regularly early in the morning. 7) avoid cold things, intermittent eating, heavy foods, contact with dust and pollen grains, day time sleeping A) TAKE 20 ml of divya shwasari pravahi of patanjali ayurveda before meals B) take 2 tablets of SWAS-KASA-CHINTAMANI RASA, early in the morning on empty stomach along with 1 tsf of honey and ginger juice. Hi lybrate-user if you are having so much discomfort, I would suggest you see a dentist wherever you are, so at least the cause can be identified and appropriate treatment options discussed. You can then opt for complete trratment there, or at least get some temporary measures to relieve the pain long enough for you to get to your home town where you can get the more long term solution from your regular dentist.

Healthy Hair - Foods You Must Have

Everyone loves a thick luscious mane of hair, which is shown on television commercials. To be able to flick around shiny healthy locks, you may have tried the best shampoo brands, made frequent visits to the parlour and consulted the doctors several times. However, did you know that the best nutrition for your hair comes from the food you eat daily? Thinning hair, reduction in hairline, excessive hairfall resulting in an undesirable physical change, can be a major cause of frustration and low self esteem. Healthy and hygienic lifestyle, sufficient sleep, adequate water intake and exercises along with a balanced diet help to promote the growth of hair.

Important nutrients necessary to boost hair growth and volume:

  1. Most of the hair is made of protein and therefore it is of utmost importance to include proteins in the diet. Protein cells are building blocks for hair and strengthen your locks.
  2. Vitamin D leads to a healthy scalp and activates the growth of hair follicles.
  3. Biotin (Vitamin B7) leads to the synthesis of an important hormone known as Keratin which forms the fibrous part of hair.
  4. Inadequate Folic acid in the diet can cause a reduction in cell division and lead to premature greying of hair.
  5. Vitamin A and C help to keep the scalp free of dandruff. They lead to the production of sebum that nourishes the hair strands and prevents split ends. Split ends can lead to the breakage of hair, eventually turning your precious mane into a rough, dull and unmanageable one.
  6. Omega-3 fatty acids improve blood circulation to the hair roots, promoting shine and health of hair.
  7. Iron and Zinc prevent breakage and damage of hair. They contribute to strengthening of hair roots.

Some of the best food items recommended for maintaining healthy hair:

  1. Carrots, Whole grains, Legumes and Lentils, leafy green vegetables, fruits: Carrots are rich sources of Vitamin A. Carrots have several advantageous effects on the human body, mostly showing remarkable improvement in eyesight and hair growth. Carrots can be eaten in a salad, boiled or lightly tossed in the pan in just a few drops of oil and beneficial spices for added flavour. Carrots can also be made into carrot juice and consumed on a regular basis. Vegetables, fruits and legumes are rich sources of iron, zinc; vitamins that are essential for hair maintenance.
  2. Lean Meat and Eggs: Eggs and lean meat are rich sources of protein. Egg whites do a commendable job when it comes to promoting hair growth. Egg yolk and the egg whites are known to remarkably condition the hair and benefit damaged hair when mixed with a natural hair pack before shampooing it off. Egg protein is beneficial, whether consumed or applied externally. It must be made a vital inclusion in your diet.
  3. Oatmeal: Known to have multiple benefits, it must make a way into your diet chart, if you are looking forward to healthy skin, hair and the perfect body weight. Oatmeal applied externally can condition and clean the hair, reducing itchiness of the scalp. A handful of walnuts and almonds daily will zealously guard your hair for a long, long time.
  5. Green Tea and Dark Chocolates: Rich in anti-oxidants, green tea is beneficial both when consumed internally and applied externally. The hair can be washed with green tea to remove and prevent dandruff. Dark chocolates are also rich sources of anti-oxidants. Now that’s a delectable way towards healthy and happy hair.

- if this is only ordinary fever, take homoeo medicine belladonna 30 (6 to 8 pills) --3 times (hourly) in the morning and arsenicum alb 30---3 times (hourly) in the evening. Hi lybrate-user if your belly is lowering your self-confidence and giving you sleepless nights, here are the tips to give you flatter and fitter tummy. 1. Add fiber to your diet constipation distends your belly, add veggies and fruits to your daily diet to relieve you of constipation, reduce intakes of refined cereals like maida, noodles, pasta and whole grains instead add dalia and oats. This would relieve you of constipation and bloat to give you a flat tummy. 2. Decrease sodium intake sodium retains water in the body and hence your belly swells up, reduce intake of junk food as it contains a lot of sodium. Stop adding extra salt to dishes, also packaged and processed food contains a lot of salts so better avoid it. 3. Increase potassium foods rich in potassium help you get rid of balancing sodium, fruits are very good source of potassium, adding them to their daily diet not only provides this nutrient but also increase the fiber content of your daily intake 4. Avoid sugar alcohols we do not completely digest these low-calorie sweeteners usually found in flavoured low-calorie drinks, diabetic and sugar-free foods. Bacteria in a large intestine ferment during gas and distension so check food labels and avoid sorbitol, xylitol and lacitol. 5. Keep yourself hydrated with at least 8 glasses of water, also include lassi, coconut, water, lemon water in your daily routine.
