cholesterol can usually be lowered by eating less LDL cholesterol-increasing foods and more LDL cholesterol-lowering foods, and by adopting a healthy lifestyle. The most important steps to following a healthy lifestyle are: 1. decreasing the amount of fat in your diet 2. paying special attention to the quality of fat that you eat 3. maintaining a healthy weight 4. quitting smoking 5. getting adequate exercise 6. reducing stress. All of these factors, taken together, can dramatically decrease your risk of heart disease and stroke by lowering your LDL cholesterol level and your blood pressure, and raising your HDL cholesterol.  Foods to avoid  Limit saturated fats and oils, such as butter, palm oil, and coconut oil. Instead, use soft vegetable oils, such as olive or canola oil.  Avoid trans fats or partially hydrogenated vegetable oils. These oils go through a process that makes them solid. They're found in some hard margarines, snack crackers, cookies,and chips.  Limit fatty meats such as corned beef, , ribs, steak, ground meat, hot dogs, sausage, bacon, and processed meats . Also limit organ meats like liver and kidney. Replace with skinless chicken or turkey, lean beef, pork, lamb, and fish. Try some meatless main dishes, like beans, peas, pasta, or rice.  Limit meat, poultry, and fish to no more than two servings, or 140 g, a day. Remember that a serving is about the size of a deck of playing cards.  Limit egg yolks.  Limit milk products that contain more than 1% milk fat. This includes cream, most cheeses, and nondairy coffee creamers or whipped topping (which often contain coconut or palm oils). Instead try fat-free or low-fat milk (0% to 1% fat) and low-fat cheeses.  Limit snack crackers, muffins, quick breads, croissants, and cakes made with saturated or hydrogenated fat, whole eggs, or whole milk. Try low-fat baked goods, and use any spreads or toppings lightly.  Instead of using butter or margarine on bread, try dipping it in olive oil.  Avoid fast foods like hamburgers, fries, fried chicken, and tacos. They are high in both total fat and saturated fat. When you eat out, choose broiled sandwiches or chicken without skin, salads with low-fat dressing, and foods that aren't fried. Ask the server to leave off the cheese and high-fat dressings like mayonnaise. Foods that decreasse CHOLESTROL 1. Oatmeal, oat bran and high-fiber foods Oatmeal contains soluble fiber, which reduces your low-density lipoprotein (LDL), the "bad," cholesterol. Soluble fiber is also found in such foods as kidney beans, apples, pears, barley and prunes.Soluble fiber can reduce the absorption of cholesterol into your bloodstream. Five to 10 grams or more of soluble fiber a day decreases your total and LDL cholesterol. Eating 1 1/2 cups of cooked oatmeal provides 6 grams of fiber. If you add fruit, such as bananas, you'll add about 4 more grams of fiber. To mix it up a little, try steel-cut oatmeal or cold cereal made with oatmeal or oat bran. 2. Fish and omega-3 fatty acids Eating fatty fish can be heart healthy because of its high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which can reduce your blood pressure and risk of developing blood clots. In people who have already had heart attacks, fish oil — or omega-3 fatty acids — reduces the risk of sudden death. I recommend eating at least two servings of fish a week. The highest levels of omega-3 fatty acids are in: • Mackerel • Lake trout • Herring • Sardines • Albacore tuna • Salmon • Halibut You should bake or grill the fish to avoid adding unhealthy fats. If you don't like fish, you can also get small amounts of omega-3 fatty acids from foods like ground flaxseed or canola oil. You can take an omega-3 or fish oil supplement to get some of the benefits, but you won't get other nutrients in fish, such as selenium. If you decide to take a supplement, just remember to watch your diet and eat lean meat or vegetables in place of fish. 3. Walnuts, almonds and other nuts Walnuts, almonds and other nuts can reduce blood cholesterol. Rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, walnuts also help keep blood vessels healthy. Eating about a handful (1.5 ounces, or 42.5 grams) a day of most nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, pecans, some pine nuts, pistachio nuts and walnuts, may reduce your risk of heart disease. Just make sure the nuts you eat aren't salted or coated with sugar. All nuts are high in calories, so a handful will do. To avoid eating too many nuts and gaining weight, replace foods high in saturated fat with nuts. For example, instead of using cheese, meat or croutons in your salad, add a handful of walnuts or almonds. Homoeopathic medicine ALLIUM SATIVA Q ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 10 drop in 20 ml freh water twice daily CHOLESTRINUM 3X ( Dr Reckeweg) Chew 2 tabs twice daily Report after 3months with latest blood reports of your lipid profile.

Warfarin is a blood thinner, may be during pregnancy another blood thinner like soluble aspirin will be given, she has heart surgery but she can get pregnant like a normal woman and have a normal delivery too, but if delivery is not easy, it can be a lscs -think months ahead, think positive. If a person has stopped breathing but her heart is still warm, and after confirming with a doctor, she is declared as dead, after that her body is sent to the freezer, the next day when we arrived for collecting her, at that point her mouth was wide open. So when did she died? At home or im the freezer? Please I beg you, give me the correct answer.

Opening of the mouth is a post death event after deatrh many muscles loosens up, thiis loosening can cause relaxation of muscles of jaws, this relaxation can lead to opening of the mouth.

Hi lybrate-user singhji, if its itching/offencive or coloured like yellow/reddish/brownish, then you just once better to see any gynaecologist for proper check up. Otherwise, you try taking homeo medicines here I advise u. ** aletris farinosa mother tincture. Daily 2-3 times[15-20 drops in 1/4th cup of water. Daily. **ova testa 1x or 3x trituration powder[1 small spoonful] or tablets[3 tablets]. Daily twice or thrice/day for 1-2 months & see the result. Try to wash properly to avoid infections. Some times depending on above symptoms, you both couple may need to go for check up & take the medeicines.

Control Blood Pressure With Ayurveda

Hypertension is a condition where the blood has to exert extra pressure to flow through the blood vessels. While there is a genetic component to it, the more strong contributing factors are modified lifestyle and dietary changes. There are also a lot of environmental changes that have contributed to this new epidemic. While earlier people in their 50s and 60s would be diagnosed with hypertension, now there are people in 30s and 40s taking hypertension pills. Excess fat accumulation is the major cause of hypertension in younger patients.

There begins the complexity of the issue. Hypertension which requires medications to control it, they lead to side effects and bring in a host of other diseases like diabetes, and obesity which in turn bring in a whole lot of complications. A more easy way to manage would be to prevent and of course, after onset, look at how naturally it can be managed.

Ayurveda has numerous substances that have been proven to have beneficial effects in controlling blood pressure over the past 1000s of years.

  1. Celery or ajwain helps blood vessels to dilate and reduces concentration of stress hormones in the blood.
  2. Ashwagandha has a wide range of actions and improves the body's ability to handle physical and mental stress. This in turn improves blood pressure, obesity, and depression.
  3. Citrus fruits contain Vitamin C which prevents fragility of the capillaries (thinner blood vessels).
  4. Cow's urine prevents hardening of blood vessels and is of curative value in those who have blood pressure due to hardening of blood vessels. 
  5. Triphala which is a combination of amla, haritaki, and bibhitaki helps reduce inflammation that leads to blood pressure, thereby helping to control it.
  6. Jatamansi - By helping the free radical damage on the arteries, it protects the arteries and prevents cholesterol accumulation. It also is a very well-proven stress reliever and has additional benefits on hypertension.
  7. Arjuna - By helping the metabolism of the bad cholesterol in the liver, this protects the inner lining of the heart and thereby helps control hypertension.
  8. Calcium and potassium containing substances help remove sodium and thereby improve blood pressure.
  9. Natural herbs like Brahmi, Sarpagandha, Shankhpushpi, and Chandana are effective Ayurvedic cure and treatment for hypertension.
  10. Rasayana treatment from ayurveda is having excellent results, however everyone requires unique rasayan as per their body types.
  11. Watermelon helps in dilation of the blood vessels.
  12. Aloe gel, barberry, calamus, valerian, skullcap, gotu kola cayenne, myrrh, motherwort, hawthorn and jatamansi have all been shown to help manage hypertension over thousands of years.
  13. A glass of warm milk mixed with saraswat powder is also helpful for patients with high blood pressure.

These are natural remedies which were a part of diet since times immemorial. Including them in the diet, reducing processed foods, regular exercise, avoiding alcohol and smoking can be some natural ways to prevent and if required control hypertension. Stress is here to stay, but can definitely be managed with a little conscious effort.

My father is 59 year old. He have suffering from diseases like high blood pressure, asthma but from last 10 days he facing bad cough. He is not sleeping at night due to cough and also problem in breathing. While breathing a sound is listed that show his chest block. Doctor checked and tell him that he have chest infection and it cure by minimum 15 days. But our whole family and him can't sleep properly due to his illness. Pls tell something special so that he sleep at night without cough.

cough is of two types productive and n0n-productive. chest infection generally causes productive cough ,and it can do more harm than good if we try to stop that. you can try different postures in sleep (usually a head high position relieves nocturnal coughing). try throat soothing agents like honey, warm ginger tea etc. don't worry ,he will get better with right antibiotics within few days.

Dear brother, I myself also due to wrong discission at the age of 45. So many days I was under different so called numbered cardiologist. On an around ten years back on of the famous cardiologist scolded me as to why I am not taking homoeo medicines being a post graduate homoeopath. Hello doctor, my dad has 50 years, he is an diabetic & bp patient recently we found my dad's one of the kidney in small in size but we don't know about its working or not and another one having 5 mm water babble and his serum 1.7 sugar 150 bp 90/110 so my dad getting problem was to-much sweetening and getting high temper & feeling very hungry so can you give best guidance to me.

Let's go step by step. First tell me since how. Many years he is hypertensive and diabetic? which medicines is he taking for same? last 2 months blood pressure readings and sugar status? hba1c report? serum creatinine is 1.7? it might be due to long standing diabetes. Get done fundus examination by ophthalmologist also to see effect of diabetes on eyes and check urine albumin level too. Revert back with all these and I will advise you what to do to slow progression of this kidney involvement in diabetes and tune up his medications.

My 60 year old dad faces difficulty in breathing on doing any form of activity like after walking for some time, he gets breathing problem. We checked with the local cardiologist, he did ECG, x-ray, a few blood tests etc, but nothing came out. So he ruled out any heart related problem. All I know is he has gastric problem and no other ailment. Please help me with what to do.

1. Follow the remedies they will help:: 2.Make a powdered mixture of equal parts of rock candy (or unrefined sugar), fennel, and green cardamom. Whenever you feel heartburn, mix 1 teaspoon of the mixture in a glass of cold milk and drink. 3.Avoid tea, coffee, and carbonated or alcoholic beverages.Especially stop drinking bed tea. 4.Avoid using garlic, ginger, onions, tomatoes, and vinegar in cooking. 5.Curd should be strictly avoided at night. 6. Practice Yoga and Pranayama such as Vajrasana, Bhujangasana, Salabhasana, Bhastrika Pranayama,Shitali Pranayama and Shitkari Pranayama. 7.Drink plenty of fluids and water. 8. Avoid constipation.

Hello. In this age this is not good. For good health lifestyle should be healthy. Eat simple food. Avoid spicy food and junk food. Drink 10-12 glass of water. It keeps you hydrated and it control bp. If you are non veg then avoid too much non veg because it also increase bp. Also prefer lean meat. Start early morning walk and walk after dinner. Drink green tea twice a day. Its good for health. Its rich in anti oxidents and omega 3. All these will control your bp.
