I am age 18 I am a male. I want to keep my skin brighten especially on face. And have a smooth face skin.
We all love that perfectly glowing skin that has no marks or signs of ageing like moles, tags, fine lines, dark circles and many others. However, for most of us, this remains an imaginary picture that we have in mind. What stares back at us in the mirror has some of the noted features, in various combinations. However, the desire for that blemish-free skin without any of these continues and is actually not far from reality too.
Some major irritants causing skin scars are as follows:
- Vascular marks including thread veins and broken capillaries.
- Spider nevus is a spider web like structure with a central vessel and surrounding capillaries dilated radiating away from it. Similarly, blood spots are red, vascular spots that come with ageing.
- Skin tags or milia or warts these are harmless, but esthetically concerning and can irritate, if found in an area where it interferes with the garments
- Age spots or brown spots that occur due to sun exposure are also harmless but are esthetic concern.
- With esthetics attaining such importance, new ways are constantly being identified to help people improve their looks. While there are various creams and lotions and serums with promises of various chemicals that can do wonders, there actually are procedures that have a scientific basis and can produce results more quickly and effectively.
The following are some popular advanced cosmetic procedures (ACPs) that can help clear these blemishes and produce a spotless, clear skin.
- Chemical peels: This is an exfoliation process done in the clinic, by removing the top layers of rough skin, thereby, making space for new skin to grow. It stimulates growth of collagen and elastin, and promoting new skin growth. It can also be combined with topical antioxidants such as tretinoin and vitamin C, which are proven beneficial for the skin.
- Dermabrasion: Used in a variety of conditions (acne, wrinkles, blemishes), it works on layers that are far deeper than a chemical peel. A rotating brush is used to remove the upper layers of the skin, leaving the underlying layers open. The removed layers of the skin may form a scab, and can be mildly painful. The doctor may decide to use a mild local anesthetic if required.
- Laser skin resurfacing: The skin has an upper thicker layer and an inner thinner layer. A small amount of laser is applied to the underlying layers to stimulate them to produce collagen. The top layers are kept cool with a gel. The extra collagen produces improves elasticity and produces younger looking skin, removing all blemishes.
All these are equally proven ways to treat blemishes. The decision of choosing one particular method should be completely based on your expectations. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!
I have pimples plus dark sports on face. How to get Reed of pimples and spots. please help thank you.
A cosmetic treatment that aims to restore the youthfulness of your face is known as facial rejuvenation. This face enhancement can be achieved through either surgical or non-surgical means and involves procedures like facelift, neck lift, brow lift and eyelid lift.
This subject also comes with its fair share of myths, which are:
Myth 1: Facelifts only tighten the skin
This is not true. In a facelift procedure, the surgeon simply doesn't tighten your facial skin but lifts and tightens the underlying tissues and muscles. As a consequence, it is not only the skin that ends up looking tighter but your entire face.
Myth 2: Crow's feet can be removed using eyelid lift
An eyelid lift is performed to remove fat that accumulates around your eye area. Fat in this area causes bags under your eye. This process aims at the tightening of the skin surrounding your eyelid region. But eyelid surgery doesn't prevent the muscles in this area from contracting, which is a cause of crow's feet or wrinkles.
Myth 3: It is not safe for dark-skinned people
While ablative laser procedures may not be ideal for individuals with darker skin tones as they are more at risk of developing post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation (it refers to a form of temporary pigmentation that occurs following an injury or an inflammatory disorder) which can be prevented by proper after care , treatments like micro dermabrasion (a procedure that removes dead skin cells using a special diamond tip instrument) and chemical peels (a technique used to smoothen and improve your skin texture) can be safely done.
Myth 4: All injectable treatments are the same
The function that an injectable serve is either one of these two: it prevents your nerves from signalling the muscles (which is what botox does), or fills up spaces to remove wrinkles and fine lines. They are therefore not the same. Injectables differ from one another based on ingredients, duration, the part of the face where they are used and results.
Myth 5: Facial surgeries and cosmetic injectables don't give you a natural appearance
The key to getting a natural appearance from your facial rejuvenation procedure lies with consulting with a qualified and experienced cosmetic surgeon. He or she is the best person to help get you the results that you are looking for while keeping you in the loop about the potential risks and cost.

Hi Doctor, I'm 37 years old married male, 56 kgs. I'm facing this re-curing problem of anal fissures due to constipation for last 8-10 months. One doctor (General Medicine) from Apollo Clinic, had advised me to take fruits with banana two times a day and predominantly stay on veg diet (less spicy in food preparation) with occasional non-veg since as it’s a lifestyle issue. Problem is whenever I take non-veg food, the pain returns. Is there any homeopathy remedy to permanently cure this, I have continuously taken Biochemic combination No. 17 (SBL company) for Fissures and piles but not much help. Thanks

The onset of winter brings to my mind a warm blanket, a hot soup and also a dry skin! Winter season brings with it, cold, dry and chilly winds. Our skin is constantly exposed to extreme cold when outdoors and has to quickly adjust back to the warm heated interiors. The bad news is that both indoor heating as well as the cold weather outside, dehydrates our skin. Dry skin conditions include flaking, white patches or cracks in the skin and can cause lots of discomforts. Dry skin is susceptible to wrinkles as well as many skin inflammations including eczema. It is important to follow a good skin care routine in order to prevent dry skin conditions.
A good daily skin care routine starts with a well-hydrated body. Doctors advise drinking eight to ten glasses of water a day. Sipping warm water or green tea is a great way to stay warm and fight dryness in cold weather.
Oiling the skin is believed to be beneficial as oil creates a protective layer on our skin unlike a normal moisturiser which can cause the skin to feel dry after a few hours of exposure. Oils such as almond or coconut have amazing skin benefits and can protect the skin for longer hours. It is also a good idea to try out oil-based creams and moisturisers as they are more effective in fighting dry skin than the regular ones. However, oils can also clog pores, thus caution is needed on when and how much oil to be used on skin.
Avoid use of harsh scrubs or sunscreens in winter as they can irritate the outer layer of the skin. Instead, go for herbal face masks like honey lemon or milk oatmeal to replenish the skin’s moisture. It’s best to choose skin care products wisely and go the natural and ayurvedic way.
Avoid outdoor exposure as much as possible, however, sitting in heating rooms for too long is also not advisable for skin. It is better to be well covered and sit under a blanket than under artificial heat systems as it can deplete moisture from the body.
Eating wholesome nutritious food packed with nutrients can help the body replenish the lost moisture. Avoid spicy and oily food and instead, go for loads of seasonal fruits and vegetables and enjoy the natural shine on your body!
In a case of skin rashes or an itchy or cracked skin that begins to worse even after normal oiling, always consult a dermatologist as it could be a sign of a skin infection.
Our skin is a reflection of our health and personality. It always remained exposed and thus needs constant care and attention to be at its best. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist and ask a free question.
