Dear Lybrateuser, -Your chest pain may be due to acidity, anxiety or sedentary habit -avoid fried, spicy & junk food, have more of fruits & vegetables, chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, do not not lye down immediately after meals, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime -have 8-10 glasses of water per day for good digestion -do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming for 30 min, also do yoga & deep breathing for 5-10 min in the morning.

1. Do a complete blood examination like cbc, esr, mantoux test, x ray chest, sputum examination for afb (3 samples). 2. Consult chest physician with report. 3. Do warm saline gurgling 3-4 times daily, 4. Avoid smoking if you smoke.

Hi . Just follow healthy life style eating on time, avoid oily spicy, outside food, ask him to keep his bowel clear by eating more fiberous food like salads. The most important thing sleep 8 hrs continuously. Pranayama for stress manegment. If he do panchakarma according to his body type (prakruti) once in a year then no more any chance of above problems. I am 29 years old unmarried got bp of 180/110 three months back Dr. advice medicines now his bp is normal around 130/80 Dr. stopped medicines but in the evening times it rises to 140/90 again at night around 8 o clock my bp level falls to 120/80 is it normal condition.

To control & maintain Blood pressure to normal these are best methods to follow : .• Do physical exercise like jogging ,running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter ,cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle , salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels . • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking . • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee , tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP . • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily .Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes .It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits . • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

Dietary and other lifestyle changes can help you control and prevent high blood pressure. Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 mm hg. This eating plan is known as the dietary approaches to stop hypertension (dash) diet. Get plenty of potassium, which can help prevent and control high blood pressure. Eat less saturated fat and total fat. If you're overweight, losing even 3 kgs can lower your blood pressure. Strive for at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day. Plenty of fluids orally. I suggest brisk walking for 40 mins, 5 days a week. Remain stress free as much as possible. Take your medicines regularly. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. Aspirin is a blood thinner for heart patients, it can lead to acidity , ulcers in stomach and tendency to bleed more from any site like minor cuts and bruises , 2nd medicine is a Statin and new studies are showing it to be toxic to liver , leads to dementia and some doctors are giving twice a week to Reduce cholesterol , Some doctors advice people to reduce cholesterol through diet instead of medicines

How could we stop the heart attack in case of emergency is there any medicine to stop it.
In case of emergency best thing to do is rush to a nearby hospital if someone has heart attack. Although dos and donots are there but the problem is correct diagnosis and hence decission can not be taken by a non medical person. Many people report with noncardiac chest pain thinking as heart attack, which is acceptable. But many also ignore serious chest pain and try to manage with home remedies which is dangerous.

Dear doctor To lower the BP we have to reduce salt or sodium. Is there anything substitute for sodium. Is there any harm if food is taken without salt Is salt or sodium is necessary to our body. Which medicine is there for BP other than BP Tablets.

Hello, there is no substitute for sodium. You can start salt with low sodium content i. E. Lona salt. Sodium is necessary for the body. Less of serum sodium causes disturbances in the brain's function. Bpcan even be controlled with regular exercise.

DEAR Lybrate USER. You have to follow some basic things so that you get better results in a short period of time. …. 1) take solid diet two times in a day and liquid diet two times in a day …2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals …. 3) don’t drink water before meal for one hour and one hour after meal…4) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods…. 5) avoid late night sleeping habits …6) avoid coffee and tea…. A) take 30ml of triphala juice and 10 ml of honey early in the morning on empty stomach and at night before sleep. B) take 10 gm of HARIDRA KHAND after meals…. C) take 2-2 tablets of arogyavardhini vati and chandraprabha vati after meals, D) take 30 ml of aloevera juice along with 30ml of lukewarm water. Do all things for 30 days. This formulation is effective. Consult to me for further suggestion. THANKS.

Hi. Continuous head ache can be related to any eye (number) problem. This is the most common reason for it. Occasional chest pain is nothing to be worried about, it is mostly muscular pain. So check your vision from the nearest eye doctor first. Take care.

Chest pain causes 1. Heart disease 2. Stress, anxiety 3. Lack of exercise 4. Sedentary life style 5. Obesity (over weight) 6. Smoking, tobacco and alcohol consumption 7. Excess oily, fatty, cholesterol rich diet, junk food 8. Hyperacidity, musculr pain 9. Heredity and genetic factor prevention follow the advice given below 1. Avoid stress and strain 2. Do regular exercise, yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 3 avoid alcohol, smoking and tobacco consumption. 4. Take bland diet, avoid spicy, oily, fatty and junk food 5. Take paracetamol 500mg one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets daily, at the time of chest pain 6. Drink plenty of water and take rest. 7. If you have recurrent attack of chest pain take ecg and consult cardiologist.
