STD Testing - Why You Should Never Delay?

In most diseases, early detection of the disease is the key to control the symptoms, cure, reduce progression and improve prognosis. This holds true for sexually transmitted diseases too. As soon as there is a mild degree of suspicious of having contracted a sexually transmitted disease, it is advisable to go for a test. Most of the STDs can develop into serious complications over a period of time, ranging from infertility to even death.

Complications: Why early diagnosis is important: When left undiagnosed and untreated, most STDs progress to cause severe damage from sterility to cancer to even death. Listed below are some complications associated with each of the common STDs.

  1. Chlamydia: If left untreated, can lead to epididymitis and testicles shrinking and infertility in males. This is a condition where there is pus formation in the scrotum. In women, it can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease which is deep-seated and unable to cure completely. This brings with it symptoms ranging from abdominal pain to uterine infections to sterility.
  2. Syphillis: Undiagnosed syphilis can lead to blindness and deafness. It can also be passed onto the newborn and lead to severe disabilities.
  3. Gonorrhea: If diagnosed early, it can be cured completely with antibiotics. However, if left untreated, it can lead to infertility.
  4. HIV/AIDS: Early diagnosis can help in curtailing the disease. If detected late, then the damage is quite extensive and treatment is both expensive and cannot help restore a lot of functions. 

Symptoms of Sexually transmitted diseases: If there is a doubt of having contracted an STD, then it is very important to get tested for the same. Some of the most common symptoms are listed below.

  1. Women: The most common symptoms in women including painful urination, burning sensation, abnormal vaginal discharge (sometimes bleeding), warts, and abdominal pain.
  2. Men: Testicular pain, urethral pain, painful urination, pain and inflammation in the prostate, sores, fever, and abdominal pain.

Prevention: Always practice safe sexual practices. When in doubt, refrain from sex until diagnosis and treatment is complete.

Testing for STDs: Some of the standard tests include:

  1. 1. Herpes- HSV I & II - 
    2. Testing HIV-- Kits and ELISA available for testing 
    3. Blood test for syphilis antibodies 
    4. Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea - from urine as well as swabs for culture

  1. It is important to maintain the same sleep schedule every single day. This helps to naturalize your body clock and get the best quality sleep. 
  2. Switch off all mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices. Their artificial glow not only hampers your eyesight, but also prolongs the amount of time your body takes to relax and fall off to sleep. 
  3. If your back pain causes you to continually wake up in the middle of the night in discomfort, then sleep with a pillow or cushion between your legs so as to straighten out your back and relieve pent up stress. 
  4. The importance of your pillow can never be stressed upon enough. Your pillow should be not too fat, hard or soft. It should just about support the natural curve of your neck, so that it is perfectly aligned with the centre of your body. Correct sleeping postures are extremely important. 
  5. Make sure your room is nice and dark so as to stimulate the secretion of a hormone called melatonin that is regulated by light exposure. Darker the room, greater melatonin, making you more sleepy. 
  6. Those who exercise regularly and well are known to be fitful sleepers. Exercise well before bedtime. If required, do some light yoga or stretching exercises that promote sleep. 
  7. What you eat throughout the day makes a difference to the quality of your sleep. Stay away from too much caffeine, alcohol, or a heavy meal just before sleeping. They only make you stay awake for longer and may cause heartburn or stomach trouble. Don't drink too much water, or else you will be making more midnight trips to the bathroom than clocking those sleep hours. 
  8. Try to keep your head clear of all worries and stress when in bed. Regular meditation and deep breathing can help. 

There is no end to all the things you can do to sleep well and comfortably. It is important to be self-disciplined to sleep well and hence be a healthy individual.

इस धरती पर ईश्वर ने इंसान बनाए और उन्हें शक्ति दे दी कि वह खुद प्रजनन द्वारा अपनी जनसंख्या बढ़ाए। पुरुष और महिला दोनों के पास अपनी अपनी प्रजनन प्रणाली यानी अपना अपना रिप्रोडक्टिव सिस्टम है। और जब यह दोनों मिलते हैं तो जन्म होता है शिशु का। तो दोस्तों आज हम बात करेंगे पुरुषों के प्रजनन प्रणाली के एक सबसे अहम हिस्से के बारे में। जिसे हम अंडकोष यानी टेस्टिकल्स नाम से जानते हैं।

अंडकोष यानी टेस्टिस पुरुषों में पायी जाने वाली एक थैली है। ओवल आकार के 2 अंडकोष एक थैली के अंदर मौजूद होते हैं। अंडकोष लाखों छोटे-छोटे शुक्राणु कोशिकाएं यानी स्पर्म्स पैदा करते हैं और उन्हें सुरक्षित रखते हैं। इसके अलावा ये टेस्टोस्टेरॉन हार्मोन भी बनाते हैं, एक ऐसा हार्मोन जिसके कारण पुरुष शुक्राणु पैदा करते हैं। साथ ही टेस्टोस्टेरॉन मांसपेशियों और बालों के लिए जरूरी होता है। इसे मर्दाना हार्मोन भी कहते हैं। कई कारणों से टेस्टिस में दर्द होता है पर वह जानने से पहले हम यह जानेंगे कि टेस्टिकल दर्द क्या है।

क्या है टेस्टिकुलर दर्द

टेस्टिकुलर दर्द एक ऐसा दर्द है जो पुरुषों को एक या दोनों अंडकोष में होता है। इस दर्द की पैदावार कभी-कभार खुद टेस्टिकल्स से होती है, या कभी यह दर्द दूसरी स्थिति में भी उत्पन हो जाता है। जहाँ आपके अंडकोष की थैली में किसी प्रकार का तकलीफ होना या पेट में कोई तकलीफ होना, आपके टेस्टिकल्स के दर्द का कारण बन सकता हैं। टेस्टिकल्स में दर्द एक्यूट यानी काम समय के लिए या क्रोनिक यानी लंबे समय के लिए हो सकता है। वैसे तो कई सारे कारण होते हैं। टेस्टिकल्स में दर्द होने के पर यह जानना जरूरी है कि कुछ कारण ऐसे भी है  जिनके होने पर तुरंत इलाज करवाना जरूरी है। नहीं तो आपका अंडकोष हमेशा के लिए खराब हो सकता है। आइये जानते हैं किन कारणों से टेस्टिकल्स में दर्द हो सकता है।

1. चोट लगना
अंडकोष बहुत अधिक संवेदनशील होता है, और आसानी से उनको नुकसान पहुंचा सकता है। यदि इसपर हल्का सा भी दबाव पड़ता है तो इसमें दर्द हो सकता है। पुरानी चोट भी इसका दर्द बाद में उभार सकती है।

2. इंगुइनल हर्निया
इसे ग्रोइन हर्निया के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। इसमें छोटी आंत का कुछ भाग आपके अंडकोष में आकर दर्द और सूजन पैदा करता है। यह हर्निया अक्सर भारी सामान उठाने के कारण होता है। जिम करते समय सही लंगोट पहने भारी वजन उठाते हैं बिना वह अक्सर हर्निया का शिकार हो जाते हैं।

3. तोरसिओं
इस स्थिति में आपकी स्पेर्मटिक कोर्ड मुड जाती है। जिसके कारण टेस्टिकल्स की ओर जाने वाला रक्त प्रवाह बाधित हो जाता है। यह बहुत तेज दर्द का कारण बनता है। समय रहते इसका इलाज न हो तो अंडकोष हमेशा के लिए खराब भी हो सकता है।

4. अधिवृषण यानी एपीडिड्यमिटिस की समस्या
अधिवृषण एक नली जैसी होती है जो की आपके दोनों टेस्टिकल्स के पीछे की ओर स्थित होती है। इसमें अधिवृषण में जलन होने लगती है और सूजन भी आने लगती है। एपीडिड्यमिस में जलन होने के कई कारण हो सकते हैं जैसे चोट लगना, बैक्टीरिया द्वारा संक्रमण, सेक्स द्वारा फैलने वाला संक्रमण जिसे हम STD के नाम से जानते है। एपीडिड्यमिटिस ज्यादातर 18 से 36 वर्ष के पुरुषों में ज्यादा पाया जाता है।

5. ओरचीटिस
इस रोग में आपके टेस्टिकल्स में जलन होने लगती है, जो की बैक्टीरियल या वायरल संक्रमण के कारण होता है। यह जलन एक या दोनों अंडकोष में होती है और इसमें अंडकोष में सूजन और दर्द रहने लगता है। और यह ज्यादातर 45 या उससे बड़ी उम्र के पुरषों में अधिक देखने को मिलता है।

6. अन्य बीमारियां
पुरुष के अंडकोष में दर्द के लिए कई अन्य बीमारियां भी जिम्मेदार होती हैं। डाययबिटिक नेफ्रोपैथी के कारण अंडकोष की नसें क्षतिग्रस्त हो सकती हैं, यह भी दर्द का प्रमुख कारण बनता है। इसके अलावा क्लैमीडिया जैसे यौन संचारित रोग भी अंडकोष में दर्द के लिए जिम्मेदार होते हैं।

दर्द में राहत के उपाय 

1. आराम करें 
अंडकोष में दर्द और सुजन से ग्रसित लोगों को डॉक्टर की सलाह पर बेड रेस्ट जरूर करें और कोई ऐसा काम न करें जिससे आपके अंडकोष पर दबाव पड़े।

2. बर्फ का इस्तेमाल
दर्द होने पर बर्फ काफी कारगर इलाज है। बर्फ का टुकड़ा रुमाल या तौलिए में लपेटकर दर्द वाली जगह पर हर दो घंटे में थोड़ी-थोड़ी देर के लिए लगाने से आराम मिलता है। 

3. सही माप की लंगोट
हमेशा सही माप का अंडरवियर या लंगोट का इस्तेमाल करें। इससे अंडकोष को प्रयाप्त सहारा मिलता है और दर्द में राहत मिलती है।

4. वजन न उठाएं
यदि आपके अंडकोष में दर्द है तो ध्यान रखें कि कभी भी भारी भरकम बोझ न उठाएं और यदि जरुरी हो तो अपने घर वालों की मदद लें। इससे अंडकोष पर दबाव नहीं पड़ेगा और आराम मिलेगा।

5. चोट से बचना
चोट लगना एक बड़ा कारण है अंडकोष में दर्द या सूजन आने का। चोट कई प्रकार से लग सकती है। खेलों में चोट से बचने के लिए गार्ड या कप का इस्तेमाल करें और सपोर्टर जरुर पहनें।

6. सही समय पर इलाज
एपीडिड्यमिटिस, पथरी, और संक्रमण की स्तिथि में अपने डॉक्टर से जरुरी दर्द निवारक दवा और एंटीबायोटिक्स नियमित रूप से लें। इससे दर्द को कम करने में मदद मिलेगी।

7. सही आहार लें 
कम कोलेस्ट्रॉल वाला खाना खाइए और ज्यादा से ज्यादा पानी पिएं इससे दर्द में आराम मिलेगा।

8. प्रोटेक्टिव सेक्स
STD एक बड़ा कारण है अंडकोष की बीमारी का। इसलिए हमेशा सुरखित यौन संबंध बनाएं।

9. आयुर्वेद का सहारा
आयुर्वेद एक बहुत कारगर जरिया है। किसी भी प्रकार की परेशानियों का समाधान पाने के लिए। आयुर्वेद के अनुसार हल्दी का लेप अंडकोष के बढ़ने यानि सूजन को कम करने में आपकी मदद कर सकता है। अदरक के रस में शहद मिलाकर पीने से लाभ मिलता है। इसी प्रकार टमाटर, सेंधा नमक और अदरक का सलाद के रूप में सेवन करने से भी फायदा होता है।

हम सबसे ख़ास दिखें ये चाह हम सभी की होती है। और इस खासियत यानी सुन्दरता को बढाने में घने-लम्बे बाल अहम् रोल अदा करते है। सबका हेयर स्टक्चर अलग-अलग होता है। किसी के सर में कम बाल होते हैं तो कोई घने बालों को लहराता नजर आता है। पर सुंदर और घने बाल सभी को अच्छे लगते हैं चाहे वे पुरुष हो या महिला। सभी की चाह होती है घने बालों को अपने तरीके से सवारने सजाने की। पर आज के Pollution भरे माहौल और गलत Lifestyle के कारण बालों की दसा में सूधार कर पाना एक चैलेंज सा हो गया है।
लेकिन आपको चिंता करने की जरूरत नहीं आप बेझिझक ये चैलेंज एक्सेप्ट करें और हमारे बताए तरीको के साथ लग जाएं बालों की ग्रोथ की मुहिम पर। तो दोस्तों आइये हम जानते हैं कुछ घरेलु नुस्खे जिन्हें अपनाकर आप बालों को गिरने से रोकने के साथ ही उन्हें घना और लम्बा भी रख सकते हैं।

1. कोकोनट मिल्क 
एक ब्रश से अपने सर पर कोकोनट मिल्क लगाएं, और सर पर एक टॉवेल बांधकर करीब 20-25 मिनट के लिए छोड़ दें। फिर टॉवेल हटाएं और बालों को ठन्डे पानी से धो दें। बाद में शैम्पू कर लें, इस नुस्खे को हफ्ते में एक बार आजमाने से थोड़े ही दिनों में आपके बाल गिरना रुक जाएंगे। पर याद रहे, सर पर कोकोनट वाटर नहीं कोकोनट मिल्क लगाना है। जो नारियल को घिसने के बाद उसे निचोड़ने से निकलता है।

2. एलोवेरा 
अपने बालों को सादे पानी से अच्छी तरह धोएं। फिर एलोवेरा के पत्ते में से निकले गूदे से पूरे सर पर अच्छी तरह मालिश करें। 15 मिनट के बाद सादे पानी से सर को धो लें हफ्ते में तीन दिन सुबह-सुबह ये नुस्खा अपनाकर देखें। थोड़े ही दिनों में फर्क दिखने लगेगा।

3. आम
आम इसलिए कि इसमें नीम का इस्तेमाल करना है और नीम आपको हर जगह मिल जाएगी। नीम की पत्तियों को पानी में इतनी देर उबालें कि पानी आधा रह जाए। अब इसे ठंडा हो जाने दें। इस बचे हुए पानी को सर पर खूब अच्छी तरह मलें।इसे आप शैम्पू के बाद भी कर सकते हैं। हफ्ते में एक बार ये Formula आजमाएं.

4. आंवला 
आंवले की खूबियों से भला कौन अनजान है। हम सब बचपन से सुनते आए हैं कि आंवला बालों के लिए फायदेमंद होता है। पर आंवला इस्तेमाल करने का सही तरीका पता होना भी जरूरी है। थोड़े से सूखे हुए आंवले नारियल के तेल में इतनी देर उबालें कि तेल काला पड़ जाए। ठंडा होने पर इस तेल को किसी कांच की बोतल में रख लें। हफ्ते में दो बार इस तेल से सर की अच्छी तरह मालिश करें और 20 मिनट बाद शैम्पू कर लें। बहुत जल्द इसका आसार आपको समझ में आने लगेगा।

5. मेथी 
मेथी दाने तो आप किचन में इस्तेमाल ही करते हैं। दो चम्मच मेथी दाने नारियल के तेल में तल कर लें। चूल्हे से उतारकर इसे अच्छी तरह चलाते हुए ठंडा कर लें। ये मिश्रण थोड़ा सा लेकर हलके हाथों से कुछ देर बालों की जड़ों में मलें। और 20 से 25 मिनट बाद सादे पानी से सर धो लें। पर हाँ ऐसा महीने में एक या दो बार आजमाएं।

6. बीटरूट 
बीटरूट यानी चुकंदर के पत्ते, सबसे पहले Beet के थोड़े से पत्ते पानी में इतनी देर उबालें कि पानी आधा रह जाए। उबले हुए पत्तों को मेहंदी की पत्तियों के साथ पीसकर पेस्ट बना लें। इस पेस्ट से सर पर अच्छी तरह मालिश करें और 20 मिनट बाद सर धो डालें। हफ्ते में तीन बार ये नुस्खा आजमाएं और हेल्दी बाल पाएं।

7. ग्रीन टी 
गर्म पानी में ग्रीन टी के दो बैग डालें। पानी ठंडा हो जाने पर टी बैग निकाल लें और उस पानी को पूरे सर पर मलें। हफ्ते में दो बार इसे शैम्पू के बाद कंडीशनर के तौर पर इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं।इससे बालों को मजबूती भी मिलेगी और चमक भी आएगी।

8. लहसुन 
रोज खाने में लहसुन की 4 से 5 कलियां खाने से बाल घने होते हैं। लहसुन का रस निकालकर सिर में लगाने से बाल उगने भी लगते हैं।

9. सीताफल 
सीताफल ऎसा फल है जो कई तरह से शरीर को पोषण देता है। सीताफल को खाने से भी आपके बाल कुछ दिनों में घने हो जाते हैं। सीताफल के बीज और बेर के बीज के पत्ते बराबर मात्रा में लेकर पीसकर बालों की जड़ों में लगाएं।फल का स्वाद जैसा मन खुश कर देता है पत्ता वैसे ही बालों को खुश कर देगा। 

10. मूली 
मूली हम सलाद के लिए खाते है। पर ध्यान रहे मूली बेहद फायदा करती है खासकर पेट और आपके बालो को घना बनाने के लिए। आधी से 1 मूली रोजाना दोपहर में खाना-खाने के बाद, कालीमिर्च के साथ नमक लगाकर खाने से बालों का रंग साफ होता है और बाल लंबे भी हो जाते हैं। इसका प्रयोग 3-4 महीने तक लगातार करें। 

11. ककड़ी 
ककड़ी में सिलिकन और सल्फर अधिक मात्रा में होता है जो बालों को घना बनाने में मदद करते है। इसलिए जिनके सर पर बाल कम हो उन्हें रोज ककड़ी खानी चाहिए इससे बाल घने हो जाते हैं। ककड़ी के रस से बालों को धोने से और ककड़ी, गाजर और पालक सबको मिलाकर रस पीने से बाल बढ़ते हैं।

तो आप बिंदास उन नुस्खों को अपनाएं और अपने बालों की ग्रोथ बढाएं पर ध्यान रहे अगर आपको लम्बे समय तक इन नुखों को आजमाकर भी फर्क ना नजर आए तो हेयर स्पेशलिस्ट से सम्पर्क करें।

Some of them are as follows:

  • Use an ointment or paste made of dried ginger and Kermpferia.
  • Use a paste of Indian aloe vera, asafoetida and coriander for pain relief.
  • Grind cumin seeds and mix it with lemon juice. Keep the mixture on the painful area of your head for quick relief.
  • Have coconut water.

Recurrent headaches
Any form of headache, which tends to reoccur after some time instead of ending is referred to as recurrent headache. There are several Ayurvedic remedies for the effective management of recurrent headaches. They as are as follows:

  • Boil one teaspoon of haritaki powder in water and drink it.
  • Massage your neck gently using warm calamus root oil.
  • Lie down with your nostrils parallel to the ceiling, and apply sesame oil in your nostrils. This is known as nasal therapy.

There are several other Ayurvedic remedies that are effective in dealing with all forms of headaches. You should consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for getting the most ideal remedy for your problem.

Binge Drinking in Women Is Different from Men

Binge drinking for men is the consumption of more than five alcoholic beverages in one sitting. But the case is different for women. For women binge drinking is defined as a woman consuming more than four alcoholic beverages in a single sitting. Also, it has been found in a survey that almost 75% of the binge drinkers are college students. Among these, the ratio of men is much higher than women.

What Leads to Binge Drinking?

  1. Lack of control: One of the most common reasons is, of course, the lack of control. When such a person comes in contact with alcohol, they tend to over drink because they have no control over their drinking.
  2. The weekend fun: Secondly, another reason is seen in the case of youngsters between the age of 18 years to 35 years. They know that after this weekend they will be able to enjoy their favorite bottle only in the next weekend. Hence, they binge drink.

Results of Binge Drinking

It becomes difficult to check how much alcohol will affect a person, because it depends on various factors, such as height, weight, age and also at times, alcohol tolerance of the person. But of course, there are some common results of binge drinking. Some of such results are:

  • Unintended and unprotected sex leading to pregnancy or even STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) in some cases

Cherry Angiomas are benign skin growths comprised of abnormal proliferation of blood vessels. They are also alternatively known as Campbell de Morgan spots or senile angiomas. Cherry Angiomas are a rather common skin disorder.

The Cherry Angioma appears bright red, oval or circular in shape and are small in size. They can either be smooth, and close to the skin's surface, or they can be marginally raised. They mostly appear on the arms, shoulders and torso. If the Angioma is agitated (scratched, cut open or rubbed), it might result in intense bleeding in some cases.

Causes:
The exact cause of Cherry Angiomas is unknown. Genetic predispositions are usually believed to be a major cause. Other than that, pregnancy, climate and chemical exposure have also been said to cause Cherry Angiomas.
An obvious link, however, has been established between age and the appearance of Cherry Angiomas. Usually, people over 30 develop Cherry Angiomas, which only seem to augment in number and size with age.

Symptoms:
There are no other specific symptoms of Cherry Angiomas, except for the benign growths on the skin. The skin growths are usually characterised by:

  • Vivid, cherry-red colour
  • Small sizes
  • Smooth growths which are close to the skin's surface, or are raised

Treatment:
Cherry angiomas usually does not need any treatment, but if you want, you can remove them for cosmetic reasons. You can also remove the Cherry Angiomas if they appear in places on your body where they can get easily irritated (such as, on the hands), and cause bleeding.

Some methods of removing Cherry Angiomas include:

  1. Electro-cauterization: In this method, the angioma is burned off by an electric current that is passed through a tiny probe.
  2. Cryosurgery: In this procedure, the angioma is frozen with liquid nitrogen; the angioma is destroyed by the severe cold. This is a relatively easy and quick procedure.
  3. Laser surgery: In this procedure, pulsed dye laser is used to remove the angioma. The pulsed dye laser (PDL) is an undiluted yellow laser that is hot enough to damage the growth.
  4. Shave excision: In this procedure, the angioma is removed from the surface of the skin by a sharp razor. Hi, Please find attached all the medical reports. And her symptoms started in 2012, she was not able to digest anything before evening, if she ate anything it used to result in loose motions. This problem lasted for 1.5 years, after that problem cured then her legs started becoming weak and she started loosing her balance, she was not able to walk without support. She was undergoing an ayurvedic treatment in small (uttar pradesh) one day she was feeling all right and was able to walk for around 3 km but next day when she woke up again she was in same condition as earlier and that treatment didn't helped later. It increased gradually then it started affecting her arms as well. Then she took some ayurvedic treatment in delhi. It cured the problem with hands, there was also some improvement in legs, but after some time that treatment was not able to cure more and later on she went again in the same condition as earlier but her hands are fine now. She has no pain in any body part, or any problem with vision though she wears spectacles for many years now. No diabetes, no blood pressure problem and no thyroid problem. We consulted some neurologists. They stress on possibilities of either Ms. or NMO spectrum disorder. Please tell me about the possible treatment and the duration as well.

  4. Lycopodium: In some cases, delayed menses can last longer than normal and have an abnormally heavy blood flow. In such cases, lycopodium is an effective homeopathic remedy.
  5. Belladonna: Excessive menstrual bleeding and early menses can be treated with belladonna. This type of menses is also accompanied by intense pain that is relieved by standing and cramps in the back and arms. Belladonna is also extremely useful in acute cases of endometriosis and inflammation of the ovaries.
  6. Creosote: Excessive blood flow that is intermittent and preceded by abdominal bloating can be treated using Creosote. This blood flow is usually dark brown in colour and accompanied by an offensive odor. Creosote can also be used against ulcerations in the female genital organs, burning pain and soreness.
  7. Helonias: Pain extending from the back of the uterus and loss of muscle strength in the genital organs can be treated with helonias. It can also be used to treat leucorrhoea or dark, offensive vaginal discharge as well as displacement of the uterus.
