Hello, I am 28 years only about 5'7'' height and 58 weight.I need to increase my weight for another 5 kgs..I tried going to gym and gained around 2 kg weight, suddenly I was attacked with spondolytis problem due to which I had to stop going gym..could you please guide me how can I increase my weight with more natural habits of food..( have been regularly taking 2 egg whites daily) but can't see any effects..

You should be around 65-69 kgs.U should do exercises once your spondylitis prob is better,but under a trained person.N avoid lifting weights,and bending forward.Follow a proper balanced diet.Take whole eggs instead of egg white.

Antibiotics are taken to treat a host of bacterial infections, from fever to fungal infections, doctors prescribe antibiotics to deal with the symptoms. Usually, a single course of antibiotics must be taken for the cold or the flu to completely heal. Antibiotics only treat bacterial infections; they do not do anything for viral infections.

1. Antibiotics and Good Bacteria
Antibiotics kill bacteria. Antibiotics do not discriminate between good bacteria and their bad peers. Thus, they end up killing the good bacteria as well. The microbiomes in the gut are the good bacteria in your body that aid in digestion. Certain antibiotics can change the entire microbial diversity in the gut and this change can last for a year. Clindamycin, another antibiotic, can kill butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid produced by microbes. In the gut, the butyrate prevents carcinogenesis, inflammation and oxidative stress.

2. Resistance to Bacteria
Like every living organism, bacteria too evolve and adapt to the surroundings. They mutate and respond to the changes in the environment thus, leading to bacterial resistance. Some bacteria mutate and survive the antibiotic treatments. These bacteria reproduce and the resistance strain gets passed on to the next generation which, in turn, makes the new bacteria desensitised to antibiotics. When you get infected again-

  1. The infection lasts longer, thus the disease may become serious
  2. There are more complications which tend to further increase every single time you are prescribed a new course of antibiotics
  3. If the infection lasts longer, then the chances of you infecting others also become higher
  4. Recovery takes longer

However, there are a few other things to be considered as well:

Taking antibiotics if you have a viral infection is not a smart thing to do. The antibiotics do nothing to kill the virus. However, if your bacterial infection has been plaguing you since a long time, doctors generally prescribe antibiotics every time. This is because, no matter what their downsides are, antibiotics do help you in recovering from various bacterial complications, at times, permanently.

You need to have a diet and exercise plan based on your bmi, age & weight and sex, presence of any diseases. There are exercises specific for each part of body like hips, thighs or abdomen. Comprehensive exercise& diet plan based on whether vegetarian /non vegetarian can be given. May also need to do some tests. In brief, weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/4 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests.

Hello, pls check your thyroid and blood sugar level. You need to take a balance diet. Take 1 glass lukewarm water with half lemon in the morning. Include more vegetable and fruits in your diet. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at the night and don't skip breakfast. You can take 1 apple in the evening or 1 glass skim milk. Avoid late night dinner and overeating.
