Hello, Be positive and happy with whatever you have got. stress also leads to poor resullts. Have liberal intake of milk and its products. take high calorie fruits like banana,jackfruit,grapes,chickoo. Have nuts,dried fruits with mik,curd etc. Good quality proteins like eggs,lean chicken,tofu,fish will help you as well. Strength training helps a lot.

Ravi Include some form of proteins in your meal like milk and milk products..vegetarian should have dhals while non vegetarian should include chicken..fish..and eggs in their meals.. *check your vitamine B12..D3 and iron levels and add a suppliments in case the levels are insufficient.. *keep a check on your thyroid as hypothyroidism can cause fatigue.. Reason is unhygienic food,junk food,bad climatic conditions...etc avoid tea.coffee.junk food.spicy food.fermented food.. .walk for atleast 30 minutes a day... avoid alcohol consumption,smoking and non veg .drink lots of juices and plenty of water... eat green vegetables and salads.... do pranayama early in the morning... .sleep for atleast 7 hours...

Add 1spoon honey and chawanprash in morning and evening and have 2 cups of milk wth almonds kishmish banana in morning and evening. Avoid fry spicy junk food and aerated drinks and do 30mints of exercise in the day avoid excess salt and spices. Do deep breathing 5times inhale exhale from left nostril than same from right nostril.

Dear Lybrate user lybrate-user ,only eating is not important but eating right thing (balance diet) is more important. Try to eat partwise at regular interval it will increase your apetite. Eat fruits ,vegetables before lunch you can take green salad containing green vegetables and some foods as starter, include curd in your diet ,at your age people need more energy but due to changing lifestyle we don't dive weightage to proper diet but proper diet is very necessary for physical and mental health along with beautiful skins so you must consider this take sleep for atleast 6-7 hours, drink 5-6 litre of water per day .for proper diet plan you can contact me.

An inguinal hernia refers to the condition when tissues, such as those which are a part of your intestines, find a weak spot in your abdominal muscles and protrudes outwards. This may often result in a painful bulge, especially at times when you bend over, lift heavy objects or cough.

Usually, if the hernia is small, your doctor might just ask you to wait and leave it untouched. In children, manual pressure may also be applied to reduce bulging. Enlarged or very painful hernias, however, require surgery for the prevention of complications and for relieving discomfort.

Generally, there are two types of hernia repair surgeries which are as follows:

1. Open hernia repair surgery: This type of surgery is carried under sedation by local anaesthesia, and ensures an incision being made in the groin to push back the protruding tissues into the abdomen. The weakened area is then sewn back, and reinforced with the help of a synthetic mesh, a procedure called hernioplasty. The opening is then closed down using staples, surgical glue or stitches. Though movement as soon as possible is recommended, exertion must be avoided.

2. Laparoscopy: This is a kind of minimally invasive surgery, done with the aid of local anaesthesia. In this procedure, multiple small incisions are made in the abdominal region and then gas is used in order to inflate it, to make visibility easier.

A tiny camera is attached at the end of a small tube (a laparoscope) and then inserted into the cavity created by the incision. With the aid of the increased visibility facilitated by the camera, the surgeon then inserts other tiny instruments through the remaining incisions for repairing the hernia, with the help of a small synthetic mesh.

This kind of surgery allows your surgeon to avoid the scar tissue which might be present from a hernia and which might have been repaired earlier. Laparoscopy is thus also recommended for those with bilateral hernias (on both the sides).

However, research has shown that this kind of repairing may also increase the likelihood of recurrence or some other complications or risks.
Risks are usually reduced when the surgery is performed by a surgeon who has a lot of prior experience in the same.

1. For increasing weight ...First we have to work on ur digestive system..It will do Aam pachan and will increase ur digestive power and appetite.... 2. Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.. 3. Take small meals 4-5 times a day.. 4. Eat healthy n light food .. 5. Drink plenty of fluids.. 6. Avoid constipation... 7. Walk 1km daily in evening... 8 .Follow up after a week.

Yes nutri gain is healthy for you but also try to follow proper diet because supplements and medicines work in isolation with diet. To have muscular body you have to be careful about food food choices & protien intake. Include good sources of protein in your diet such ad low fat milk & milk products, soy & sprouts, lean meat, eggs, pulses along with supplements to achieve desirable goals.

Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

Dear Lybrate User, you may have come across a number of gimmicking advertisement of medicines which claim to decrease body weight in a very short time. Do not fall prey for such advertisement because the excess weight would not be shredded until each & every underlying cause of being overweight is diagnosed & treated. The basic role behind the process of accumulation of fat in human body is played by Metabolism. Metabolism is the set of life-sustaining chemical transformations within the cells of living organisms. The three main purposes of metabolism are the conversion of food/fuel to energy to run cellular processes, the conversion of food/fuel to building blocks for proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, and some carbohydrates, and the elimination of nitrogenous wastes. Accumulation of fat indicates that a considerable amount of the calories which you are taking daily is not used up by the body & is stored as fat. In order to lose the excess fat you need to increase your rate of metabolism. Once your rate of metabolism or BMR is increased your body will use up the excess calories stored as fat in your body. First of all you need to rule out the possibility of the presence of any hormonal disturbance that may be affecting your metabolism. Just conduct a total Thyroid profile test of all your blood (also Serum Testosterone level in case of males). If the reports are within normal limits then you should proceed further to increase your metabolism. If you find any abnormalities in the report you should immediately consult a doctor. Now, Let me explain another widely discussed yet controversial topic behind losing weight i.e Dieting. It is a myth that weight loss is impossible without dieting. However, I disagree with that myth personally. You have to fulfill the basic caloric demand of your body to perform your daily activities. That means you have to eat as a normal person & also eat at a certain interval. In fact I have seen many people who take little amount food after fasting for 6-7 hours & they believe that they are Dieting. In fact keeping your stomach empty for a considerable long time will decrease the rate of metabolism & also increase the risk of gastric problems in an individual. Staying hungry for a considerable long time produces the release of Cortisol Hormone in the body. This Cortisol hormone is an emergency hormone & it identifies the absence of food as an emergency situation. Thus it lowers the rate of metabolism to stop the breakdown of fat in order to conserve the calories present inside the body. Moreover, when you stay hungry for a considerable long time your body starts to burn fat initially but after a certain stage it starts burning the muscle fibres thus resulting in muscle waste which leads to weakness & loss of stamina.

I am 35 Years old Male, working in a Back Office Section, My job role is sitting hours together in front of the computer. Nearly 9 hrs I to sit and work. My weight is 88 Kgs, my height 5. 7. I am facing back pain from last 6 months. Please advise me how to reduce my weight. It is not possible for me to do exercises in the morning and in the evening. You have to do exercises for your problem. If u dont do so in the future u will face bigger problem. And take zero oil food, less sugar, more protein and fiber diet. And do at least 15 min back exercises. Thanks and regards Dr. Ritesh kharnal
