Hello, I'd you are working out in the gym or any intense workout it is body ache can be quite normal in the initial period. The tiredness could only be possible if you are into crash dieting or taking insufficient food. Please Reevaluate your food and do not starve, also do not get over bored with the exercise. There are a number of homoeopathic medicines, which treat the root cause behind the body’s inability to gain weight or bulk up. 1. Take alfalfa tonic(wsi), 2 – 2 tsp. Thrice a day, half an hour before meals. 2. Calcarea phos 200, 5 drops , once in aweek , morning empty stomach for 2 weeks. 3. Take eggs, milk, butter, bananas, potatoes, mangoes, figs, oats, soyabean and dry fruits. 4. do light exercises regularly to keep your body active. MILK Tea Vs BLACK Tea Vs GREEN Tea - Is Your Choice the Best?

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Delhi
MILK Tea Vs BLACK Tea Vs GREEN Tea - Is Your Choice the Best?

Let's start with an interesting fact: all types of tea, be it green or black, comes from the same plant, Camellia sinensis. The difference only lies in processing and oxidation. So how can one be better than the other you ask? Let's find out.

1. Fluoride content
When it comes to fluoride content both green and black teas score high, while milk tea sadly loses out. Green and black teas are good for your teeth and bones, although black tea has higher fluoride content (0.2-0.5mg as compared to 0.3-0.4mg in green tea). Its best to have your black tea with tap water as it increases the fluoride content up to 0.9mg.

2. Antioxidant content
Yet again green tea and black both have high antioxidant content that helps in preventing cancer, but green is the clear winner over. Milk tea loses again as the milk in it effects the absorption of these antioxidants by your body. Green tea is enriched with a particular type of catechin (flavonoid) called EGCG, which regulates gene activity in cancer cells, and may even prevent cancer growth.

3. Caffeine Content
Both black and green teas have different amounts of caffeine in them. Green tea has lesser caffeine content than black tea- 9-50mg/cup in comparison to 42-17mg/cup. So if you want to have an energetic morning then black tea is the one for you, but if you want to relax your blood vessels and just enjoy a soothing drink, choose green tea. Milk tea unfortunately does not have a calming or an energising effect.

Benefits for your heart:
Black tea is probably the healthier option if you want to derive cardiovascular benefits from your daily cuppa. While green tea has abundant EGCG which creates a lining along your blood vessels to reduce stress, black tea offers more benefits. Black tea can improve the function of your blood vessels if you suffer from coronary artery disease. Apart from that, both can lower the levels of harmful cholesterol. There's no evidence that supports that milk tea can be beneficial for your heart.

So in the end it's your call to choose black or green tea, whichever works best for you. Try avoiding milk tea as the milk steals away the essential health benefits of tea. Just remember to have no more than 10 cups of green tea a day, and no more than 4 cups of black.

My father has been suffering from diabetes since many days. Could you please suggest him right diet?

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology

My father has been suffering from diabetes since many days. Could you please suggest him right diet?
if he is suffering form dm t2, then to suggest any diet I need to know fasting and pp sugar levels, present dietary pattern, hba1c% and extent of daily exercise, current treatment with dosage. Without those details it is not possible to give a diet plan as it is highly individualised. In the mean time he should: 1) avoid sweets completely, 2) avoid deep fried foods, junk foods and pastries. 3) avoid sweetened aerated drinks, fructose corn syrup containing products & highly processed products. 4) refrain from alcohol and smoking. 5) consume more of green leafy vegetables and salads, permitted fruits (about 100 g a day). 6) exercise daily for at least 1 hour to keep weight in check. 7) he has a bmi of 29.41kgs which shows he is over weight close to being obese.

Two glasses of milk contain around 14 gram of protein while the polyunsaturated fats in almond add those extra calories when included in the everyday diet. Crush a handful of almonds and add it to the boiling milk. Simmer it for five minutes. You can sweeten it with a tsp of sugar. Then, pour it in a glass and sip it slowly. To make it more effective, you may put in dates and dried figs in the boiling milk. Drink it twice daily for two months.

A sports person's diet is completely different from a normal person. Depending upon the type of sports you are into your diet must be planned. your protein and carb intake must be to an optimal level to inprove your strength and stamina. when you feel the craving to eat junk opt for better options , instead of fried chicken or French fries or a burger you could opt for grilled chicken or veg grilled sandwitch or a subway. For a personalised diet plan you can consult with me online.

1. Excessive weight gain is caused when people consume more calories than the body needs—occurring most commonly due to eating a diet high in fat and calories, being sedentary, or both. This imbalance between calories consumed and calories burned, however, can also be caused by a number of different obesity-related factors such as genetic, hormonal, behavioral, environmental and, to some extent, cultural. There are many other factors causing obesity such as pregnancy, tumors as well as endocrine disorders and medications that include psychotic drugs, estrogens, corticosteroids and insulin 2. Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Kindly take her to the cardiologist once. Or get a entire health check up once. After 50 getting a health check done every year is a must.
