Dear sir, I am happy you are concerned about the neuropathy. With determination and physiotherapy you can overcome most of the symptoms. Please visit a neurologist for advice regarding you neuropathy. A diabetologist will also help you to have optimum control of your sugars. The neuropathy is of no consequence to normal life. Hello, You need to take protein right here meals at regular interval. Combine milk with fruits and have it on the form of yogurts, smoothies, milkshakes, fruit custards etc to make it more energy dense. Strength training should help you. If you are non veg stress on eating chicken, fish, eggs in the form of tandoors or subjis.

I am 43 years old and have a weight problem , I had my hysterectomy done in which my both the ovaries and uterus were removed 10 years back, though i keep my diet in check and have been hitting the gym but yet it refuses to budge and has been consistently increasing about 3 to 4 kgs inspite of diet control and execrcise, I am also on HRT since my hysterctomy , currently my weight is touching 90 kg , while i weighed 62 kg 10 years back, I am morbid obese, kidnly suggest

For a person with diabetes whether T1 or T2, it essential to follow: 1)Avoid sweets, deep fried foods, pastries, bakery items, foods made out of maida, 2) Avoid aerated sweetened drinks (colas), alcohol, sweet corn syrup containing food products, 3) Refrain from smoking, 4) Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits like papaya, pomegranate, water melon, apple, pear, guava, orange, sweet lime. 5) Avoid red meat. Eat small portions at a time and eat on more number of times in a day. Total quantity of food to be divided in 4 to 5 small meals. Thanks.

I have generated recent hair fall problem at a high pace. In order to reduce it, I started to take proper diet along with taking multivitamin daily syrup and I started to give vitamin syrup to my family on a daily basis. Hi lybrate-user, first of all let me tell you that taking multivitamins as supplements is safe provided it is taken within limits and as per doctor's suggestions. Please see to it that your daily diet contains lots of green vegetables, fruits, dal, whole grains and milk products. You also need to see that you do not have any scalp infection such as dandruff that also causes hair fall. In such a case you can use any good anti dandruff shampoo.

Hello! Yes you can take vitamins. You should see your family doctor to get thyroid test and complete blood count checked. If hemoglobin is low then you can take iron tablets.

Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight.If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Hi lybrate-user to reduce belly fat you need to be particular about food choices & timings. Eat small & frequent meals. Include high fiber foods in your diet such as whole cereals & whole pulses. Drink plenty of water. Avoid refined foods from your diet such as maida, pasta. Keep check on your food intake.

Your weight is controlled by 4 major factors (1) refined sugar consumption (2) exercise and hydration (3) posture and sitting (4) how many times do you indulge yourself - alcohol, binge eating at parties, overeating etc. Step 01: refined sugar 1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. Step 02: get exercise and proper hydration 1. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water. Step 03: improve posture and sitting habits if you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. Step 04: stop indulging and eat more of raw natural stuff 1. No more than 60 ml of hard liqour or 2 glasses of beer per day. 2. Try to eliminate the urge to overeat but if you do overeat try to limit the incidents to two times per week. 3. Eat 4 servings of fruits per day. 4. Each of your meal should contain 50% of raw vegetables. Once you incorporate the above points in your routine you will see a dramatic difference in your weight, physical shape and energy levels. You will find that there are a lot of companies out there that are trying to sell expensive products to naive consumers in the name of weight loss. These products may not necessarily be good for you. Losing and maintaining weight is something which is totally in your hands, it is easy and it is free of cost if you follow the above mentioned points.
