Hi. I have lichen planus pigment on my face. It's bit dark. I am taking treatment from past 1 year. No much improvements. I tried sotret 20 mg, trauma RD. Golite cream, tecum 0.1% and gojigo cream. All by doctors advise. But no ultimate results. Please suggest what should I do to get rid of lichen planus pigment.

A combination of all these treatments with Q-switch laser can help you achieve lightening of the pigment. Stick to the treatment for 8-10 months and take optimum sessions of the laser.

Hi, seborrheic dermatitis is also called dandruff, seborrheic eczema and seborrheic psoriasis. It isn't contagious, and it's not a sign of poor personal hygiene. Few self-care tips can help you control and manage seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff): soften and remove scales from your hair. Apply mineral oil or olive oil to your scalp. Leave it in for an hour or so. Then comb or brush your hair and wash it. Wash your skin regularly. Rinse the soap completely off your body and scalp. Avoid harsh soaps and use a moisturizer. Avoid products that contain alcohol. These can cause the disease to flare up. Wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. This helps keep air circulating around your skin and reduces irritation. If you have a beard or mustache, consider shaving it off. Seborrheic dermatitis can be worse under mustaches and beards. If this is the case for you, shaving might ease your symptoms. Avoid scratching. Scratching can increase irritation and your risk of infection. Gently clean your eyelids. If your eyelids show signs of redness or scaling, wash them each night with baby shampoo and wipe away scales with a cotton swab. Warm or hot compresses also may help. Use lukewarm water for head wash. Medication: take homoeopathic medicines - schwabe's badiaga 200 & alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use schwabe's anti-dandruff shampoo and anti-dandruff oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use bakson's arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, you can take one tablet of multivitamin folli hair once daily for 1 month.

Hello sir, I had habit of lip chewing and biting. Due to this, My lower had become thicker. To hide this thicker lip, I used to hold it under the upper lip .For this reason, it had became extremely thicker. Why should I do right now? Is there any treatment for this thick lower lip ?

The lower lip is generally bigger than the upper lip and there are no exercises to reduce the size of the lips. It seems you may have a lower lip overhang which is the reason you try to pull it up under the upper lip. The only way forward in such a case is surgical lip reduction and that too minimal to balance out the equation with the big upper lip as also to avoid any gum or teeth show in resting position. All the best with your endeavour!

Scars can make any face look less pleasant. But the good news is that, there are many treatments available for scars. Depending on your condition, there are medications available which can be locally applied. Further there are treatments like peels, dermarollers and rf which can lead to significant improvement in appearance of scars.
