Emergency treatment in such situations is pack nose with soft cloth soacked in cooled water. Continue ice pack, analgesic drug will be helpful.

Requires detailed investigation and examination Presently investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Anyway you may try sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hi do general exercises regularly in the mrng like top to bottom neck to toe. And do the stretching exercises. It will decrease the pain. If you have any doubts revert me back.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis is inflammatory pathology around the outer epicondyle of elbow, actually it is a degenerative tear in ecrb tendon. My advice for her is: - intensive ice packs - tennis elbow brace for sometime - take a short course anti-inflammatory medication which suits you. - physical therapy like ultrasonics and laser therapy if available. Let me know in 2 weeks time whether your symptoms are improving or not. Also try to avoid all activities which increase your pain. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. Do share investigation reports if you have any.

Hii lybrate-user. The cause of your wrist pain may be an underlying ganglion in the wrist extensor tendons. Or weakness due to previous injury due to lifting weights. Use a wrist brace. Throughout the day. Can be removed at night. Hot fomentation. Nd avoid lifting weights for atleast three weeks.

Madam, short of seeing your doctor nothing can be prescribed menstrual pain is common problem. Happens to 95 % women. Till you see your doctor. Take pain killer which you have taken in past hon. Supreme court says it is illegal to give you any advice if you are not seen by us sharda jain.

I started gym after a long time. But this time during cardio be it a walk at brisk pace or jogging I can feel pain on my both legs at front side below knees till Bottom. Even at my touch I can feel the pain. Earlier I thought it may be because I started gym after long time but it's been a month or more still same pain. Pain goes off after few hours. Please suggest the reason for this pain and solution.

Hi there your symptoms resembles with shin splint. It is a condition in which shin gets inflammation due to sudden increase in distance or workout schedule or overusing muscle or due to shoe type and many other reasons. You can consult physiotherapist for further treatment and at home you can apply ice pack to reduce inflammation, take ibuprofen, following. Stretching and strengthening exercises twice a day, shoe modification might be helpful.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Management: -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

A general check up by a physician with some blood tests like CBC, CRP,ANA, ESR may be advisable. Stool examination also. Colitis due to amebiasis or giardiasis has to rule out CEO, ESR ,ANA may show some direction for pain in body parts.

Get some relax during the work and walk for 15 min. In between the work. Intake healthy diet and green leafy vegetables. Drink 1 glass of milk every day with half table spoon of turmeric. Do cervical exercises for that. And not use pillow at night.

Hello, you need to get your vitamin d and calcium levels checked. Generally, the lack of these in your bones can cause such pain. Get yourself exposed to the morning sunlight. Do some exercises to keep them active. Take care.

Causes and Symptoms of Wrist Fracture

The medical term used to describe a broken wrist is wrist fracture. The fracture might be in the 10 bones, which make up the wrist or in the radius. Some fractures can be serious while others may be tiny. The serious fractures make the bone unstable and these might require surgeries to cure. Open fracture is when the bone breaks and it breaks through the skin. This might cause an infection to the wounded area.

  • Causes: The most basic cause of a wrist fracture is injury. Any fall on your outstretched hand and you might have to nurse a fractured wrist. This type of fracture is common among sportsmen. If you are suffering from osteoporosis, then you have a high risk of getting a wrist fracture. Traumatic accidents may also cause severe wrist fractures.
  • Symptoms: The symptoms of a wrist fracture can be extremely painful. The pain escalates whenever you try to move your wrist or flex it, even if you are just flexing your fingers. Sometimes your hand or arm may even become extremely numb when you fracture the wrist. The muscles in the area become tender and swell up. It is almost impossible to move the wrist after it gets fractured. The fracture causes the wrist or rather the hand to appear deformed. The area around the fracture might even get bruise and a fractured wrist also affects the blood flow in the area. You might even injure your muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves.
  • Diagnosis: To confirm and check the level of severity, you are generally asked to get an X-ray done. In order to get a more detailed look at the fracture, you might have to undergo CT or MRI scans as well. Usually to treat a fracture, you will have to wear a splint and move your hand as least as possible. But keep moving you're your fingers otherwise they might get stiff. Your doctor will inform you from when you will be able to move your wrist. Until then try to keep your movements to the minimal.

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.
