It seems to me that you love her very much and need more intimacy from her. Human value system differs from one to another. She values money more than anything else, it depicts her a more practical woman. It does not mean that she is not loving you. She might have been deprived of money in many critical life situations, and learned this value system (and of course the value system of majority of people is money). If you want to win her love and intimacy, start to love what she loves. I mean think and and act in terms of making more money so that she will listen to you in course of time.

Hi I am not able to concentrate in My study . My mind was always going to sex. What am l do.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Hi I am not able to concentrate in My study . My mind was always going to sex. What am l do.
You have to practise mind control and these thoughts are very usual in your age. Do meditation and yoga .10 Study Tips to Improve Your Learning Study Tip 1: Underlining Underlining is one of the simplest and best known study tips. It’s easy to highlight the most significant parts of what you’re reading. One key sentence per paragraph and a few important phrases here and there. You can only retain a certain amount so it’s best to retain the most important information. Study Tip 2: Make your own note and taking notes is one of the most widespread study skills out there. Essentially the aim of note-taking is to summarise lectures or articles in your own words so you can easily remember the ideas. Study Tip 3: Mind mapping A good Mind map can save you many hours of study and further consolidate your knowledge for your exams. Mind Maps are an extremely versatile tools. They can be used for brainstorming, outlining essays or study topics and for general exam preparation, ExamTime offers the ability to create Mind Maps quickly and easily which makes them the ideal tool when it comes to exams. Study Tip 4: Flash cards:- Using these are a particularly effective method of learning when trying to assimilate different facts, dates, formulas or vocabulary. Subjects such as History, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Geography or any language are made much easier if you incorporate Flashcards in to your study. Study Tip 5: Case Studies Sometimes it can be difficult to grasp the implications of some theories. This is where studying case studies can be a big help. Case studies can help you visualise a theory and place it in a more familiar and realistic context. This is especially useful in business or law subjects. Study Tip 6: Quizzes are an excellent way to review study notes in the weeks and days before an exam. Quizzes can show where your strengths and weaknesses are, so it allows you to focus your efforts more precisely. Moreover, if you share your Study Quiz with your classmates and test each other as much as possible you can discover even more details and areas you may have overlooked. So before any exam, make sure you create and share a bunch of different Quizzes with your Friends. Study Tip 7: Brainstorming This is another study technique that is ideal for studying with friends and/or classmates. Brainstorming is a great way to expand every possible idea out of any topic. Just get a bunch of friends together and shoot the breeze, there are no wrong answers when brainstorming – just talk and capture the ideas, you can review afterward. Study Tip 8: Mnemonic Rules Mnemonics are especially useful when memorising lists and sets. Mnemonics rules basically work by associating certain concepts with other concepts that are more familiar to us. There are many different ways to make mnemonics and these can be individual to the person. Study Tip 9: ORGANISE your study One of the most effective study skills is also one of the most often overlooked; this is organising your study. Creating a TIME TABLE gives you goals and a time in which to achieve them. Having a study timetable as you study is greatly motivational Study Tip 10: Drawing Many people find it easier to recall images rather than text that is why they are better able to memorise concepts if they associate them with pictures or drawings. If you find answer helpful please click on “helpful” tab for knowing my efforts are useful.

Hi lybrate-user! Is he very close to your family or not. Does his parents know about this affair. If so you can patiently wait, if not there must be various reasons for him not talking to you may be his parents are strict or he might be having job pressure or may be he got a new girl friend all depends about how much you know him, his mentality, and what type of character he is etc. It would be better if you could openly ask him whether he will marry you or not. If not ask him the reason why he actually avoids you, should you waste your life waiting for him or not you can ask him directly. If he does not love you anymore, it would be better for you to concentrate on your career and live for your family I mean your parents who struggled hard to educate and grow you up. It would be mean if you keep thinking of someone who does not bother about your welfare when there are well wishers and affectionate people around you who really care about you and sacrificed many for their child to lead an happy life forever. So first find out what his decision is about you, if in case he is going to break out this relationship it would be better if you could start concentrating on your career, education and your beloved family and lead an happy life henceforth. Happiness is not only in love, you can even find happiness in satisfying the desire of your loved ones like your parents and siblings. Take care. Be strong and decide about what you need in your life and your goals. With regards

Yes, you will be angry if you have to ask him for sex and he turns you down. It is worse if he says that either you are boring or sex is boring - that is indeed very hard to take. You must both go for marriage counseling and then may be meet with a sexologist too. In the meantime you could do somethings to stimulate him sexually, if you are willing, that it. First of all I am implying anything about you when I propose these suggestions. I hope that is clear. Right, here goes: Make yourself smell clean and dress up attractively. It is very important to be sexually attractive. Clothes and cleanliness does wonders to a relationship. Then feed him well with foods he likes, The most important sexual organ is the brain: if the brain is stimulated only then does a man get excited. And sex does not start only in the bed: it is much more activated before, during and after. Talk to him in seductive ways, touch him in seductive ways, and tease him so that his sexual appetite is aroused. In bed make every sound and mannerisms to allure him sexually. Touch and tease his erogenous zones. As he gets aroused withdraw a bit just to get him to crave more contact. Put everything you can into it and you will see a change. Explore many different to do the act and if it is freely and happily done, you will make it very exciting.

Stage fear is one of the top most fears in the world. The main reason is that people are worried about what the audience will think about them. Well, everyone makes a mistake on the stage and people are usually very tolerant of this. Also you know your content best. The audience doesn't know it. So even if you make a mistake, be prepared to apologise genuinely or cover it up effortlessly. If you have any queries about this please contact me on private chat.

I am not sure I understand you well but let me see how I can help you. I am glad you have fond memories of your childhood which is a rare phenomenon. However yo have to grow up and away from those times and live in your present. It may also be that you are not interested in your studies because it may not be suitable to your aptitude. Please meet with a career guidance counselor and do some tests that will also determine what your natural skills are and then choose an appropriate career and course. In terms of concentration here are a few guidelines: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive or coconut oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that you and the family go for counseling too. You need to talk to a counselor about these annoying questions and clear your mind up. You may otherwise lose all interest in studies and life pretty soon.

Hello sir/madam I want to ask that my father is in a very bad habit of smoking and for the last 5 years me and my mom is requesting to my father to leave this habit bt he is not able to leave this habit and he has the same excuse that 'i am trying to leave this habit" bt he smokes too much .plzz tell me what should he do or what should I do so that he is able to live his smoking habit .PLZZZZ tell ME I AM REALLY TENSED ABOUT HIM. Thank you.

General Physician, Fatehabad
Hi lybrate-user, To some, smoking a cigarette is more than just a bad habit; it’s a ritual that is used to address many physical and emotional states. In order to finally end the addiction to smoking, and to prevent future relapses, you need a holistic approach—one that integrates both physical and emotional symptoms along with a real, concrete plan. By integrating the latest research, science-backed natural remedies, and other proven techniques, it is possible to quit smoking, and stay smoke-free. 1 – Treating the Physical Symptoms of Nicotine Withdrawal Nicotine withdrawal can begin within 30 minutes of your last cigarette. The first days are the most intense, but remember that these cravings become less frequent and less intense with time. Here are some proven techniques for dealing with those cravings: Exercise: A study published by the Journal of Psychopharmacology found that exercise had a positive effect on smoking. The trial included 15 different studies that evaluated variables, including the desire to smoke and the strength of the desire. Again and again researchers found that many different exercises, including yoga and high-intensity activities, had positive results on reducing cravings. So, next time you have a craving, try embracing the outdoors and go for a 15-minute walk instead. Deep Breathing: Techniques that focus on breath work, such as taking a series of deep breaths, diaphragmatic breathing, and directed breathing, are an effective and easy way to reduce cravings. A study published in The Journal of Addictive Behaviors found that taking a series of deep breaths every 30 minutes significantly reduced smoking withdrawal symptoms, including cravings and irritability. Have an urge? Try taking several deep breaths and notice that desire begin to slip away. 2 – Treating the Emotional Symptoms of Nicotine Withdrawal Feelings such as irritability, anxiety, and even depression can occur as the body begins to withdraw from nicotine. Breaking the psychological addiction can be difficult because the limbic system, also known as the reward center of the brain, is stimulated with each cigarette. The urge to light up can feel uncomfortable as the brain and body begin to detoxify. The good news is that in as little as a month after your last cigarette, a large number of nicotine receptors in the brain will return to normal. Remember that each day will get better, and the cravings will decrease as your brain chemistry rebalances. 3. Addressing the Triggers for Smoking These are moments in your daily life that exacerbate the craving for cigarettes. For example, maybe every morning you used to have your first cigarette with a cup of coffee. Or perhaps you always lit up when drinking alcohol. Acknowledging these situations and creating new patterns can help. Write down the moments where your cravings are the most intense and think of new, healthier alternatives that can take their place. Here are some ideas to get you started. REPLACE / Coffee with green tea / Alcohol with kombucha / Hanging out with smokers with joining an exercise class 4. Foods that Help with Quitting Smoking Nourish the body with foods high in vitamin C, such as citrus fruits, papayas, bell peppers, guava, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, tomatoes, and strawberries. You can restore lost antioxidants with beta carotene-rich foods such as carrots, sweet potatoes, and dark leafy greens, including kale and spinach. Increasing your intake of vitamin E will help rebuild your body’s reserves. Try eating fruits, veggies, and nuts. Avocados, almonds, olive oil, and kiwi are some great ones to try. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

My son aged 27 years had a serious accident 10 years ago. He suffered from head injury and was operated upon. Though he is alright now, he gets angry very soon. Sometimes he reacts to things in a very inappropriate manner. Is there any link between the head injury and the anger etc.

MBBS, MD (AIIMS, Gold Medalist), Diploma in CBT (UWS, Glasgow)
Psychiatrist, Delhi
Hi, Thanks for writing in; welcome to the forum. Yes, it would certainly seem that there is a link. Many possibilities exist as to the exact nature of the problem that has resulted in inappropriate behavior and anger. The first thing that any expert would consider is an organic personality change or a frontal lobe syndrome that characteristically presents with the exact symptoms that you have mentioned. Other causes include anxiety, depressive and psychotic changes due to head injury. The exact diagnosis can be made based on a review of all records and an interview with the patient. The organic personality change can be improved to an extent with treatment. The other causes that I mentioned also can get better and have higher chances of getting better than the organic personality. Please consult an expert in person for exact diagnosis and management. Take care!

I life is full of confusions ...
Dear lybrate user, welcome to lybrate. Every person across the world will be in trouble if they started thinking about what you are thinking now. That is because there are no answers to these questions. The duty of your mind is to think. You cannot control your mind's thinking. Once you just leave your mind without diversion, it always end up in negative territory. But certainly you can divert your thinking. You can make your mind to be always positive by engaging in creative activities, hobbies, games and passionate towards whatever you do. Thereby you can reduce your stress and tension also. Once you can do this, loss of proper sleep and stress also can be made normal. Take care.
