Hello lybrate user I would like to suggest you do regular exercises of back and legs. Exercises should be gentle and smooth but according to physio advice. Whenever your back muscle becomes relax, pain-free & achieve good level of contraction (after fifteen days) then start some stretching and strengthening exs. Definitely exercise would be helpful to you.

My mother (55 yr) is suffering from osteoarthritis. She is having pain in her knees while standing n walking. What is the best exercise for her. She does cycling for 30 min in a day. How she can improve her health. N what are the ways. So it will not increase further.

She may have to do Quadriceps exercise .That is half squatting and pressing the thigh on a bed roll placed under the knees wile lying down. . Ultimately may need surgery but can avoid by good exercises for thigh muscles

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls. Spine sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od do neck, back & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned backache as your mother's problem. You are actually very young to have persistent backache. If there is only localized backache with no other associated symptoms like radiating leg pain, numbness, paresthesias etc, and no systemic symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight etc, my advice to her for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or even tab paracetamol which suits you - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied 3-4 times in a day - analgesic spray for local application like dynapar qps spray can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc if there is no improvement in 2-3 weeks with this conservative management, we will need to evaluate her further in form of dynamic x rays to look for any instability as a cause for pain and some blood investigations to rule out any deficiencies etc. You will have to consult a dermatologist for your issues about skin lesions. My MRI LS Spine done on 25-may-2016 final impression says-"Grade 1 spondylolisthesis of L4 over L5 which along with degenerated and posteriorly herniated intervening L4-L5 IV disc, causing indentation of thecal sac with encroachment upon bilateral lateral recesses, both neural foramina and the bilateral exiting nerve roots (Right >Left)" Few days back I got lower back pain during playing cricket, though in initial days the pain is not that much and after few days rest I join back office, but after 5 days of my office my back is again start pain and now I am not able to stand straight, my back is tilt towards left over my naval point, Now my question is - what kind of bed rest should I prefer though doctor suggested me complete bed rest for three weeks and 4 mg of steroids thrice a day and pain killer with Caltok M2, I usually stands in morning for loo and bath and during day for food. From last 5 days of medication last 2 days I feel no pain in morning but my posture problem is as it was, but as day progresses pain develop again. Is it because of my moment or what? please help me to get early relief as I can't take more leave then three weeks.

With medicine tk physiotherapy treatment must and and do posture correction sit straight tk soft pillow for back support tk break between your office work and do walk and stretching exercise. Do strength exercise after relief in gradually process.

I had an injury of elbow joint. Dr. has suggested to go for joint replacement surgery. Is there any other alternative possible for the same?

It depends what you are looking for. An Elbow replacement surgery is good for regaining movements in a painful arthritis elbow. However, if stability is main concern, sometimes elbow fusion is also offered. It all depends upon the integrity of ligaments around the elbow.

You will majorly have to work with your posture. On your office chair first completely touch your buttocks to the chair, then take a single bedsheet roll it n place dat role at your belt level in sitting. Make sure your hip n knee joint are in same level if not then use a small stoll under your feet. After every 15-20 mins just get out of your sitting posture. Use drawings n pop ups on computer as: sit straight; get up.

Lybrate-user, first thing is blood sugar must be in excellent control with fasting around 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg and hba1c% <7. Plus get the wound completely drained and cleaned, properly dressed. There is a need for proper antibiotic treatment for a week or more. Then the wound will heal. Thanks.

Do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch.

Pain releif creams are meant for temporary relief only (2-4 hrs), the cause has to be found and treated. Avoid bending forwward and sit straight, do hot fomentaion but best is to consult an orthopedic surgeon.

I have been constantly suffering from body aches whenever I get up in the morning. If you have been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis you will have this pain and stiffness in back,consult a Rheumatologist for treatment.

Change food habites add in your food calcium vitamins minirales proteins milk end milk products dry fruites fruites and green vegitabales salad. Do aerobic excersices yoga will help you. Take Ķeva orthocare capsule 1 in morning 30 minuties before lunch end 1 capsule before dinner. Massage Ķeva anti pain oil on painful area morning end night. Take 5 drops Ķeva Tulsi drops empty stomach in a cup of normal water end after 20 to 30 minuties take breakfast end evening also. For a month than consult me for further treatment.

Digestive abnormalities. Loose motion in every month after eating oily food. It happens since 6 years. And joint pain after swelling in the joints .it is not a bone problem it is muscle problem because the pain is not at bone .actually the is at back side of joints.
