How to make face clear without pimples and suggest the diet to overcome the problem. Thanking you.
To prevent pimples, eating fresh fruits, green vegetables, drinking plenty of water should be an essential part of your routine and intake of oily fried foods, an excess of sugar-salt should be avoided. To begin with- take fruit diet once in a week, which consist of fresh juice, fruits, coconut water and vegetable (green leafy). Warm water enema should be taken daily to clean the bowels and constipation. Take a balanced diet with an alkaline base, which consists of sprouted cereals, whole grain cereals and vegetables. Vitamin a, e and b can be used to treat acne. Green tea and walnuts help to keep your skin pimple free. Drinking 8-10 glasses of water every day is good for emission of toxin from the body. Always try to include low-fat dairy products in your meal. These are a good source of vitamin a. Some natural remedies to get rid of pimples:- apply hot fomentation to open up skin pores and then rinse skin with cold water. Sun and air baths by exposing the whole body to sun and air are highly beneficial. A hot epsom salt bath twice in a week will be highly beneficial in all cases of acne. Healing packs made of grated cucumber, oatmeal (cooked), carrot and lemon juice is effective for acne.

Homoeopathic treatment HAIR GROWTH OIL (Wilmar Schwabe India) Apply twice weekly at night. Leave overnight A. C. 9 (BAKSON) Chew 1 tab twice daily R-89 (Dr Reckeweg) Drink 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily. R-89 (Dr Reckeweg) Massage in hair roots 20-30 drops daily 0r alternate days one hour before bath.(In females one hour before bath) ANTIWRINKLE CREAM (BAKSON) Apply in circular fashion twice a day 1.Avoid the sun and/or use a good sunscreen. Sun damage is well-known to wreak havoc upon the best of skin. All sun worshippers that do not take heed pay the price with lax, leathery skin before their time ~ not to mention the risk of many dangerous skin cancers. Wear Helmet while driving as it is good both for your Hairs as well as skin The sun screen should be------------------ OBroad-spectrum protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays). OSun Protection Factor (SPF) 30 or greater. OWater resistance OPreferably Homoeopathic SUNCARE SUNSCREEN (BAKSON). 2.Drink plenty of water. Water is what nourishes our cells…it is present in EVERY cell in our bodies. But, many people do not drink enough of this elixir! And, without proper hydration, skin will appear dull and listless ~ lacking the elasticity that gives us our youthful appearance. What is the proper amount of water to drink per day? This is a controversial subject, but I recommend 9 cups for women and 12.5 cups for men. 3.Do not bathe in hot water since this has a harmful effect on the skin integrity, damaging it and drying it out. 4.Use a good moisturizer! Preferably Homoeopathic ROSE MOISTURISER (SBL) 5.Partaking in regular exercise can improve skin elasticity. It is recommended to have 30 minutes of aerobic exercise to improve circulation for the skin. This gives the benefit of feeding the skin and removing any waste products more effectively. Hence, you will have a more youthful skin. 6.Proteins make up the matrix of our cells and thus are very important for good collagen and elasticity. Eat these top proteins for good elasticity: almonds, peanut butter, salmon, sardines and eggs. 7.Luten an antioxidant found in egg yolks, spinach, and other leafy greens may improve skin elasticity by almost 20%. Lutein is also found in topical face products. 8.Fish oil capsules taken on a daily basis can do much for skin elasticity. This is very important if you are on a diet or have already lost a lot of weight…fish oil is one of your best weapons to combat laxity and looseness of the skin. But, be sure to follow the dosage directions on the label (and consult a physician before taking anything) since the wrong dose may be harmful or dangerous in bleeding disorders (or other medical conditions). 9.Also, it’s important to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for good skin elasticity. And, of these ~ the best ones to eat are as follows: •Red Peppers •Oranges •Grapefruits •Strawberries •Broccoli •Carrots •Mango •Apricots •Sweet Potato •Avocados So, if you have lost elasticity due to poor habits or weight loss ~ the above list should give you a guide on how you may improve your skin starting TODAY. Or, if you are needing a preventative treatment against aging…these habits can take you down the road to a much happier, youthful skin! We don’t have to give in to mother nature, there are always variables we can manipulate to fight back against what our mothers and grandmothers had to endure ~ loose, sagging skin.

Stretch Marks - How To Get Rid Of Them?

MD- Dermatology & Venereology,Leprosy , International Fellowship in Dermatology, MBBS

Stretch Marks - How To Get Rid Of Them?

Stretch marks don’t only happen after childbirth, they can happen to anyone due to sudden changes in body size and weight. These are like ugly brown scars usually present on the stomach, thighs and hips. Truth be told, 90% of pregnant women will get stretch marks around these parts of their bodies.

These are some very easy things one can do to get reduce the appearance of stretch marks both old and new:

  1. Moisturizing- Lotioning –up regularly can lighten stretch marks. Moisturizing helps to hydrate skin and this makes it easier for it to stretch. Moisturizing is very effective in lightening new stretch marks and can prevent new stretch marks from forming. Older stretch marks are more difficult to get rid of, though.

  2. Retin A- Retin-A based creams are very effective against stretch marks. Retin-A works by boosting collagen production which helps the skin to stretch out and avoid tears which cause stretch marks. Pregnant and nursing women should not use Retinoic acid containing products, however. It also doesn’t work on old stretch marks.

  3. Glycolic Acid- This too can increase collagen production when used on skin. It is even more effective as alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) which is used in chemical skin peels. You can use glycolic acid on skin even during pregnancy. Save your skin from sunlight when using glycolic acid.

  4. Vitamin E Oil- This is touted as the miracle cure for stretch marks and it delivers especially when used on new stretch marks. Use it with an unscented moisturiser for better coverage.

  5. Essential Oils- These are common home remedies for tackling stretch marks. One can use them directly on skin or mix with the carrier oil before use. These are the ones to go for:

    • Lavender

    • Rose

    • Frankincense

  6. Vitamin C- You can take Vitamin C as a supplement to lighten stretch marks. You can also mix topical glycolic acid with vitamin C and apply on the skin directly.

  7. Lasers- These are the magic wands of cosmetic surgery and rightly so. Fresh stretch marks can be tackled using a pulsed dye laser also called vascular laser. The downsides of this laser treatment are that it works on early stretch marks and not on mature ones. It is also very expensive. This laser also doesn’t work on darker skins.

  8. Fractional Laser Treatment- These are very effective against older stretch marks. Your doctor will use this laser to resurface the older marks smoothing the surface of the skin. The treatment is very expensive and can cause hyper-pigmentation and scarring.

  9. Abdominoplasty or Tummy Tuck- This is the only certain way to obliterate stretch marks. What the surgeon does is cut out swathes of skin from your abdomen with stretch marks. Downsides are that it’s a risky procedure. There could be life-threatening complications and recovery takes long, sometimes as long as 3 to 6 months. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

5 Reasons You Should Go For Hair Transplant

MBBS, PGDA
Trichologist, Delhi
5 Reasons You Should Go For Hair Transplant

Hair transplant is a surgical procedure where hair is surgically implanted on the head. You can opt for this procedure if you suffer from hair loss and bald spots on your head. The surgery comprises of shifting hair follicles from one part of the head to another. Mostly, hair follicles from back of the head are relocated to the balding areas.

The reasons when may opt for a hair transplant are -
1. Involutional alopecia
It is a form of alopecia where the hair growth tends to decrease due to ageing resulting in thinning and shorter hair. The follicles remain in the telogen phase (resting phase) for an extended amount of time. You may opt for a hair transplant surgery to correct this disorder.

2. Male pattern baldness (Androgenic alopecia)
Androgenic alopecia is a condition which is characterized by a gradual receding hairline, especially along the temples. This is caused due to the testosterone hormone being converted in to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which causes shrinking of the hair follicles. If you are affected by male pattern baldness, then you may opt for a hair transplant surgery.

3. Female pattern baldness
Females may also be affected by baldness which is characterized by loss of hair from the top of the head and gradual thinning of hair. It may lead to self-esteem issues; so opting for a hair transplant surgery is recommended.

4. Traction alopecia
This type of hair loss occurs due to exertion of external pressure on the hair which may cause it to fall. If the hair does not grow back then it would result in a bald patch. Thus you may opt for a hair transplant procedure if you suffer from this disorder and experience loss of hair.

5. Trichotillomania
This is a psychological condition where a person pulls out his/her hair. If excessive hair is lost resulting in bald spots, then you may opt for hair transplant surgery.
