Hello Take BC No. 12, 5 tabs twice daily and kali phos 6x, 5 tabs at bed time. Alpha HA, 15 drops with warm water twice daily. take Five phos 6x, 5 tabs twice daily. Revert me after 15 days.

I am 45 years old and suffering from hypo thyroid since 2005 and take 100 mcg thyoronom, but off late have been facing mascule pain some time severe in my both legs some time swelling is also there.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

For weight reduction: You should eat frequent meals and more fibrous foods. Go for regular walk atleast for 30-45 minutes. Try to include green tea in your diet. Go for light dinners.

See main reason of hair fall & hair damage is due to infection in scalp skin, which easily goes into hairs follicles & causes hair fall, thinning of hairs, for control on hair fall you have to control on dandruff and infection. So if you want cure. Consult privately.

I normally don't prefer rice instead I prefer chapati, sprouts, fruit salad for lunch. For breakfast and dinner also I prefer chapati. I take stairs instead of lift to 3rd floor in office, atlst 3 times a day. Still I am gaining weight. Also I don't prefer much of fast food or fats or carbohydrates. Please suggest what to do for losing weight.

Make necessary dietary changes and combine it with REGULAR 45 min brisk walk / exercise to shed weight. Focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre ones only. Avoid simple sugars completely. 'Eat Out' less and have good quantity of fresh foods (Fruits, Vegetables) which are not processed. Have small and frequent meals. Have plenty of water and sleep well. Yes quality of life will improve for sure. He will be off the hd but he needs to continue immunosupressants like steroids and calcineurin inhibitors. He might be off insulin depending upon his daily insulin requirements.

Avoid all junk food and artificially flavoured and preserved food items. Have freshly prepared homemade food on time so that the digestion is good. Include organic foods if possible (all types if seasonal fruits and vegetables). Be physically active (daily exercise) so that there is no bloating due to indigestion. Do not sleep immediately after a meal. Avoid all bad habits. A healthy lifestyle can solve most of the gastric disturbances. You can take Homeopathy if there is a chronic complaint. Eat green leafy veggies..more of citrus fruits..banana,more of water..eat 4to 5 times in smaller portions..avoid in bulk.. drink milk twice .. eat dry fruits..eat dairy products like paneer,cheese.. dont smoke..dont drink alcohol.. eat protien rich food.. pulses..legumes..potatoes.. opt for protein shakes..do mild exercises..

You must go and meet with a counselor too immediately. Please visit both professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do calisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.
