I'm a vegetarian student. My schedule mostly consists of sitting as I'm a student and have college and classes to attend. My workout has been in a pause since 2 months because of exams and medical reasons. I'm going to start my workout in a few days. I have not been able to find a proper diet for me. I need to lose Atleast 10-15 kgs. I'm quite dedicated too. I don't miss gym until it is an emergency. Please guide me with a good vegetarian diet which will help me lose weight efficiently and if possible faster. Thank you:)

Hi, you should go for 45 minutes brisk walk in the morning. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take sprouts, fruits and vegetables. Eat salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Timely and balanced diet is as important. Take small and frequent meals.

Dear lybrate-user tyagi, good evening. Reducing tummy fat is very easy. Take proper food in proper time. Yogasanas like dhanurasana, pavana mukthasana, padahastasana will definitely reduce your tummy fat. Try to go for walking regularly. Best wishes.

Hi, can understand that weight gain is a big problem now a day. The main reason behind weight gain is eating more of the processed food, less of exercise and drinking less water. You observe the habit of yours, you will find that these three reasons. Hence to lose weight cutting on processed food, sugary food, drinking 3-4 liter of water daily and exercise for min of 30 min per day is essential. Balanced food is the key to long term weight loss. I can suggest a diet plan and some dietary supplement for quick weight loss. I am suggesting a general diet and supplement for you. Hi - incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet while eliminating unhealthy foods. - if you are working or studying away from home, try to pack healthy lunch and snacks for yourself to avoid eating unhealthy food daily. - don't eat straight from the packet - use a plate or bowl to control how much you eat. - don't delay or skip meals. - cut down your consumption of aerated drinks and sodas. - drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Drink water after waking up and before sleeping. Being dehydrated may make you feel like you're hungry, so it is important to stay hydrated. - have homemade fruit and vegetable juices - eat 5-6 small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, every day, instead of having a few big ones. This regulates your blood sugar level and your metabolism. - don't skip breakfast, instead, make it rich with complex carbohydrates and proteins, so it can provide you with energy to get through the day. Try to include the following as your morning breakfast, oats porridge, eggs on multigrain toast or daliya with sprouts. - avoid artificial sweeteners in processed foods. - eat slowly as it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register if you're full or not. Eating too fast leads to overeating, so chew slowly to digest your food better and control how much you eat. - use a smaller plate to control your portion sizes and avoid overeating. - know your cravings and do not snack when you're emotional. It is said that you crave crunchy and savory food when you're stressed, frustrated or lonely. Figure out what you crave and replace them with healthier alternatives. - do not eat mindlessly; concentrate on your food instead of watching tv or playing with your phone to avoid overeating.

Yes off course, metabolism and weight gain are indirectly related, due to impaired metabolism there will wt impaired digestion, which indirectly lead to weight gain excess weight gain leads to again more appetite and decreased absorption which ultimately leads to decreased metabolism.

Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and spicy food. And constipation. Early morning-lukewarm water with lemon 1 glass tea without sugar + 2 biscuits breakfast-2 hard boiled eggs + 2 slice brown bread or 2 scrambled eggs + 1 slice brown bread+ skimmed milk 1 cup (240 gm) mid-morning-1 banana/1/2 cup melon/20 grapes lunch-brown rice 1 cup (195 gm) + chicken/dal (100 gm) + mixed vegetables 1/2 cup + salad 1 bowl evening-butter milk 1 cup dinner-1 roti + fish green vegetable (50 gm) + lentils dal 1/2 cup+ raita 1 small bowl.

Go for meditation to transport oxygen to all d tissues and cells to nourish them and to generate new cells,as well. Take,plenty of water to eliminate toxins. Opt staircase instead of a lift. Take,oats,green tea in breakfast. Go for cycling.swimming,gardening. Consume plenty of salad,sprouts,fruits in lunch. Homoeo medicine. @ Fucus vasQ -20 drops with 1/2 cup of lukewarm water,thrice before each meal. Take,care.

You should avoid these 7 foods, in order of importance: Sugar: Soft drinks, fruit juices, agave, candy, ice cream and many others. Gluten Grains: Wheat, spelt, barley and rye. Includes breads and pastas. Trans Fats: “Hydrogenated” or “partially hydrogenated” oils. High Omega-6 Seed- and Vegetable Oils: Cottonseed-, soybean-, sunflower-, grapeseed-, corn-, safflower and canola oils. Artificial Sweeteners: Aspartame, Saccharin, Sucralose, Cyclamates and Acesulfame Potassium. Use Stevia instead. “Diet” and “Low-Fat” Products: Many dairy products, cereals, crackers, etc. Highly Processed Foods: If it looks like it was made in a factory, don’t eat it.

Low-fat milk and yogurt. Scientists have found that the more calcium in fat cells, the more fat those cells will burn. In one study, two groups of overweight mice were put on a restricted-calorie diet, but one also got calcium supplements. The no-calcium mice lost 8 percent of their body fat, compared to 42 percent among the mice that did get calcium. 3. Lean protein. Good sources of protein, such as lean meats, eggs, and beans, help keep your blood sugar stable. The result youll feel full longer and get a boost in energy and that will help you burn more belly fat.

Pain in your chest might be indicative of angina. Obesity & high bp can result in heart diseases. 18 kg weight loss is needed. Here are some tips that can help you lose weight & improve your health. 1. Have small frequent meals (every 2-3 hrs) instead of 2-3 large ones 2. Avoid junk/ fast/ street/ outside/ processed/ fried/ sugary foods, table salt, cold drinks, chocolate, ice cream 3. Drink 3 litres water daily 4. Have coconut water daily without malai (1 no) 5. Have low fat milk 6. Replace simple carbs like refined grains, sugar, potato with complex carbs like whole grains, fruits, vegetables. 7. Maintain a regular sleep cycle 7. Exercise daily for 60 minutes 8. Walk instead of hiring transport. For weight gain proper nutrition is a must. 1) you can start including more milk, cow ghee, fruits & vegetables in your diet. 2) stop eating junk & processed food. 3) make a habit of consuming one well ripen banana with a cup of warm milk with a tsp of ghee. 4) eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk over night. 5) boost up your apettite by working out daily for atleast 30 mins.

Reducing weight requires firm determination dat you have to do it anyhow. Follow this to reach your target of 12kgs in two months: ■start your day with fresh fruits. ■ eat your breakfast like your meals. Must be very filling. ■lunch also you can eat 1roti/1bowl rice with the veg of your choice n salads. ■ replace your dinner with only home cooked soups (not ready made soups) or salads n nothing more than that. Some tips>> ● avoid fried foods, sweets, outside food, n carbonated beverages n processed food items. ●cook your meals in just four tbsp of oil. ● drink water before you eat something ●avoid nibbling between meals. ● green tea or any herbal tea to burn your calories must be consumed twice a day. ●Take lemon shots twice a day to suppress hunger. ● switch to healthy foods while choosing your days menu. N lastly follow this seriously for two months. Revert for more detailed menu plan n variations you can use in your cooking.

Drastic diet plans will make you only look lethargic and undernourished. The weight loss indian diet should contain foods that will boost the metabolic rate of the body and at the same time add less calories. Some of the weight loss indian foods that can be included in a diet plan are given below 1. Brown rice most of the indians use white rice as their staple diet and it is rich in carbohydrate. Brown rice has more nutritional value and has a lower glycemic index than the white rice. Brown rice has more fiber and makes you feel fuller even when you eat less quantity. 2. Cucumbers there are different varieties of cucumbers available in india which is excellent for weight reduction diet. They are rich in water content and have very low calorie in them. They help to fill your stomach without adding extra calories in the diet. 3. Garlic garlic should be included in any weight loss diet as they reduce the appetite. It also reduces the cholesterol in the body and helps to maintain blood sugar level. They are very effective in preventing cardiovascular diseases and cancer. 4. Whole grains whole grains are rich in fiber and have low fat. Whole grains contain protein, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and phytochemicals which are needed for maintaining good health. 5. Nuts and seeds nuts like peanuts and almonds and seeds like pumpkin seeds and flax seeds help to reduce bad cholesterol and improve the level of good cholesterol. They are rich in omega three fatty acids. 6. Fish if you are a non-vegetarian, you can include fish in your diet 2-3 days a week. They are excellent sources of protein and omega 3 fatty acids. To achieve weight reduction, avoid the use of fried fish. Sardines, anchovies, tuna, mackerel etc are the best choices. 7. Low- calorie fruits and vegetables apart from the above items you can also use various low-calorie vegetables and fruits in the indian diet to lose weight. Vegetables such as bell peppers, cabbage, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes have very low calories. Low-calorie fruits for weight loss include lemons, grapes, apple, pears, oranges, plums, strawberries, watermelon, etc. 8. Healthy spices spices also contribute to weight reduction to a certain extent. You can include cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, ginger, mustard seeds, turmeric and black pepper in various food preparations for weight loss.
