It's difficult to study after marriage, but look around, there are married women going for jobs and working in offices for 10 hours per day. They too suffer from erratic eating and stress of doing a double job. Drink juice of lemon along with a spoon of honey added to water every day on empty stomach. This works like anti oxidant, removes impurities from blood. Helps in weight reduction. Brings down levels of sugar and fats in blood. Take good fats like a spoon of desi ghee or butter and a katori of assorted nuts everyday to get protein and good fats. Reduce carbs, salt and sugar even if blood sugar and bp are normal. Walking is simple exercise that helps to meditation. Eat more proteins like milk and curds. All of these items are not responsible for weight gain plus take a boiled egg, fulfilling and nourishing food. Eat lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits plus eating according to constitution. Take more water as a routine. Get back after a trial for a month. You can cook food for family with minimal oils, keep ghee or butter on the table to be added to food of growing up kids in the family. Good luck.

Hi, there are two types of insomnia: primary insomnia and secondary insomnia. Primary insomnia: primary insomnia means that a person is having sleep problems that are not directly associated with any other health condition or problem. Secondary insomnia: secondary insomnia means that a person is having sleep problems because of something else, such as a health condition (like asthma, depression, arthritis, cancer, or heartburn); pain; medication they are taking; or a substance they are using (like alcohol). Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. In children and teens, sleep also helps support growth and development. The damage from sleep deficiency can occur in an instant (such as a car crash), or it can harm you over time. For example, ongoing sleep deficiency can raise your risk for some chronic health problems. It also can affect how well you think, react, work, learn, and get along with others. Management: here are five tips everyone can use to help improve the quality of their sleep: keep your bedroom cool and dark put away/turn off all electronic devices while preparing for bedtime stick to a regular bedtime and wake time every day, even on weekends stop drinking caffeine by the early afternoon and avoid large late-night meals skip the late-afternoon nap, as it can make it harder to sleep at bedtime avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Do regular exercise. Go for a brisk walk in the morning. Medication: take schwabe's bacopa monierri 1x/ thrice daily and kali phos./ once daily at night for 1 month.

Stay healthy in monsoon season

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS

Stay healthy in monsoon season
Stay healthy in monsoon season

Never eat if you are not feeling hungry (exceptions in case of health/mind concerns), this is a solid cardinal mantra in monsoons. Doing so results in indigestion problems and illness. So, here are some specific guidelines regarding what to eat and what not to eat during rains.

Nutritional tips in monsoon:

The damp and filthy conditions in monsoon plays a host for many disease causing germs, which cause some serious health attacks like dengue, malaria, conjunctivitis, typhoid, viral fever, pneumonia, gastro intestinal disturbances, diarrhea and dysentery. If your immune system is weak you are supposed to catch these diseases instantly. To maintain healthy diet and protect you from such ill causes during the rainy season these countermeasures have to be taken.

-eat fruits as they help you restore energy. Apples, mangoes, pomegranates, and pears are best suggestible.
-avoid watermelon and muskmelons and also goosing on too many mangoes may cause pimples.
-have medium to low salt food and avoid heavy salty food as they are responsible for high blood pressure and water retention.
-eating watery foods like lassi, watermelon, rice, muskmelon creates swelling in the body. So, better opt for foods which are drying in nature like corn, gram flour, chick pea etc.
-foods such as brown rice, oats, and barley are the best foods one could have in this monsoon.
-body's immunity can be increased by adding a dash of garlic to the soups, sir fries and curries you intake. Opt for yogurt, curd and almonds in your diet instead of milk.
-drink only boiled and purified water to protect yourself from harmful germs and drinking plenty of water keeps your body hydrated.
-vegetables like cauliflower, potatoes, cluster beans, ladies finger, kidney beans, pigeon pea, and sprouted grains must be avoided.
-eat steamed salads instead of raw vegetables as they contain active bacteria and virus that cause bacterial and viral infections.
-have fresh radish juice to fight cold and cough. To reduce mucous formations add pipli and rock salt to warm water. This reduces the natural monsoon ailments. Better eat seasonal fruits as non- seasonal fruits get infested with worms during the monsoons. Pomegranates, lychees, apples, bananas are among the recommended.
-avoid eating fried items, pre-cut fruits and juices from road side vendors and stick to high quality and hygiene.
-always wash vegetables well and keep them clean especially if they are taken raw.

Have a safe & joyful monsoon

5 Reasons Exercise Makes You More Intelligent

5 Reasons Exercise Makes You More Intelligent
5 reasons exercise makes you more intelligent

Studies show that regular exercise makes our grey skills more active. That means we have a sort of a win-win situation - while we get a fit body, we also get smarter! here is how exercise impacts your intelligence.

1) exercise for greater endurance -all of us who run, cycle, swim or indulge in any similar activities face a challenge where we hit the wall. There comes a time when we feel we cannot go further and are ready to give up. Research has shown that regular exercise helps improve mental endurance and helps get rid of mental blocks.

2) yoga for clarity - yoga requires a lot of focus and patience. There are poses which require great amounts of concentration. Regular practice of yoga brings about improved mental clarity.

3) to stay focused - resistance training involves a lot of concentration and patience. Studies had shown that people who did regular workouts that involved strength training could stay focused better with almost no distractions even in their daily lives.

4) better decision making: studies have shown that people who worked out have better decision making power compared to people who didn't as their body as well as brain muscles are more active.

5) to increase productivity - on busy days, we decide to skip our workout because work needs more time. What we don't consider is that if we exercise, it will increase our productivity. This is solely because when our body exercises, more oxygen reaches our brain. This facilitates overall brain function.

Ayurveda,
Bitter gourd, also known as bitter melon, can be helpful for controlling diabetes due to its blood glucose lowering effects. It tends to influence the glucose metabolism all over your body rather than a particular organ or tissue. It helps increase pancreatic insulin secretion and prevents insulin resistance. Thus, bitter gourd is beneficial for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. However, it cannot be used to entirely replace insulin treatment? drink some bitter gourd juice on an empty stomach each morning. First remove the seeds of two to three bitter gourds and use a juicer to extract the juice. Add some water and then drink it. Follow this treatment daily in the morning for at least two months? also, you can include one dish made of bitter gourd daily in your diet. Any queries inform me.

Unani,
I want to put on some weight how can I do it. I am vegeterian.
How to gain weight is as difficult as losing weight. Inadequate feeding habits, prolonged meal time gaps. Poor selection of foods increased physical activity without increasing the food intake major reasons for being underweight. Follow it up with a heavy and healthy breakfast. Take moderate lunch and dinner. Add Banana, Milk, , including yellow yolk, Mango, rice gram, peanut, butter are helpful in gaining weight. Potatoes, bananas are a great choice because they?re high in protein and calories. Dried Fruit:Dried fruit is a rich source of fiber. Moreover, it has a high content value of vitamins and minerals which are necessary for overall health.

Firstly your hormonal treatment should be perfect and for that you keep on doing regular consultations and check-ups with your doctor, better, an endocrinologist or a physician with good knowledge of endocrinology. Secondly, you have to perform exercises regularly and may join a gym or better you start playing badminton or table tennis or lawn tennis, which involves exercise, recreation and sport’s talent and creates interest in you while pure exercises are boring. You may also do dancing and swimming. These are also good exercises as well as recreation. Thirdly, diet control or taking balanced diet. Reduce carbohydrates. So, avoid rice, potato and ghuiyan (colocasia). Also reduce wheat. In place take besan’s (gram flour) chapaati. Increase pulses containing proteins. Soyabeen has good amount of proteins. Use soya badi or soya paneer. Use skimmed milk or skimmed milk products. Also avoid meat or fish containing fat and high calories. Prawn are low fat high protein diet. Hi lybrate-user, there are two pillars for weight loss. Diet and exercise. Thought right diet can control further weight gain and assure overall health, exercise is must for weight reduction. 30 mins walk (to start with), with well-balanced diet (depending on your heath condition) can lead to gradual and healthy weight loss. You will need to exercise regularly to loose weight and maintain it. I would be happy to help you.

All About Orgasmic Dysfunction

MD - Medicine
Sexologist, Delhi
All About Orgasmic Dysfunction

A healthy mind is responsible for a healthy and relaxed body and both are imperative for attaining better orgasms during intercourse. Orgasmic dysfunction, or inhibited sexual excitement, or simply anorgasmia, is a condition whereby, a woman fails to attain orgasms even when sexually aroused. This can prove to be a major sexual problem and is the cause of disputes and conflicts in a relationship because of the lack of sexual intimacy and satisfaction.

In order to be sexually excited, both mind and body are involved in a series of complex processes, which finally result in a peak sexual response. Thus, both need to be functioning well in order to stimulate an orgasm.

Causes that may lead to orgasmic dysfunction:

  1. Boredom or lack of interest in sexual indulgences
  2. Hormonal disorders or changes brought on by menopause
  3. Chronic illnesses that affect sexual interest
  4. Acquired negative attitudes (usually from childhood or adolescence) towards sex
  5. Previous traumatic experiences relating to rape or sexual abuse
  6. Certain prescription drugs like antidepressants
  7. Stress or high fatigue
  8. Medical conditions affecting the nervous system around the pelvis
  9. Medical conditions causing chronic pelvic pain

Symptoms of organic dysfunction may include:

  1. Inability to attain orgasms
  2. Taking longer than normal to reach an orgasm
  3. Not having satisfying orgasms

Treatment

It is important to note that when treating problems associated with orgasmic dysfunction, you must maintain a healthy attitude towards sex, in addition to having sufficient knowledge pertaining to sexual stimulations and responses. Learning how to communicate and how to express your needs and desires clearly is another important step in the treatment of anorgasmia. Here are a few other ways to improve your sex life:

  1. Eat well and get enough rest
  2. Reduce your consumption of alcohol, drugs, or smoking
  3. Engage in Kegel exercises which involve tightening and relaxing the muscles of the pelvis
  4. Use birth control methods that both you and your partner agree to
  5. Engage in other sexual activities apart from sexual intercourse
  6. Educate yourself more about reaching orgasms by focusing on clitoral stimulation or directed masturbation
  7. Take up sexual counseling to learn helpful exercises

I was tired very quickly during within 2 minutes. so, what to do.?

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda,
The causes of premature ejaculation are unclear. Many theories have been suggested, including that pe was the result of masturbating quickly during adolescence to avoid being caught by an adult, of performance anxiety, of an unresolved oedipal conflict, of passive-aggressiveness, and having too little sex? but there is little evidence to support any of these theories. Several physiological mechanisms have been hypothesized to contribute to causing premature ejaculation including serotonin receptors, a genetic predisposition, elevated penile sensitivity, and nerve conduction atypicalities. The nucleus paragigantocellularis of the brain has been identified as involved in ejaculatory control. Scientists have long suspected a genetic link to certain forms of premature ejaculation. In one study, 91 percent of men who have had premature ejaculation for their entire lives also had a first-relative with lifelong premature ejaculation. Other researchers have noted that men who have premature ejaculation have a faster neurological response in the pelvic muscles. There are several helpful techniques you can try. The" stop and start" method this technique involves sexually stimulating the man until he feels like he is about to reach orgasm. Stop the stimulation for about 30 seconds and then start it again. Repeat this pattern until the man wants to ejaculate. The last time, continue stimulation until the man reaches orgasm. For treatment consult privately.
