My mom was having arthritis. Few days before doctor told it's rheumatoid arthritis. Doctor also mentioned there is no medicine for this. Mom is having pain in her thumb tips. Is there any medicine for it. Or is there any exercise or precautions to take, for controlling the effects?

Rheumatoid arthritis is a self limiting disease. Acute phase can be managed with medicines. Physiotherapy helps in preventing contractures & deformities. Keep your moral up! any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days you will need other supportive medicines also. Do knee exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4-5 days, contact me again.

I am 48 year male, when I start walking, after about a couple of minutes by right leg gets cramped from foot right up to the hip for about a minute with a bit of pain and then is normal again for a long period. It happens once or twice in a day. Please advise.

It requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hello calf pain occur due to tightness of calf muscle and weakness of anterior muscle of the leg. For this you have to do calf strengthening exercise to get reelif from pain.

For Leg Pain, please follow the below advise : Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise. Hamstring stretching Towel Hamstring Stretch Lie on the back, supporting the thigh with the hand or with a towel wrapped around it.. Slowly straighten the knee until a stretch is felt in the back of the thigh, trying to get the bottom of the foot to face the ceiling, one leg at a time. Hold the position initially for 10 seconds, and gradually work up to 20 to 30 seconds. Seated Hamstring Stretch While sitting at the edge of a chair, straighten one leg in front of the body with the heel on the floor. Then, sit up straight and try pushing the navel towards the thigh without leaning the trunk of the body forwards. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds Repeat 3 times for each leg.

I am suffering from fever after taking medicines I am OK but after some days again same condition. My mother is also suffering from leg pain and she is also taking medicine but not well yet.

Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defences against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures. Also, the body's defence mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature -Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or higher may be dangerous and demand immediate treatments like: -Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used for fever in children/ adolescents or during a viral illness. -Wear loose fitting clothes and don’t overdress. Overdressing can cause temperature to rise further. -Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) baths may help bring down a fever -The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. -A fever can cause severe dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids.. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami, Amla juice etc. -Take light and easily digestible home cooked meals .avoid outside food -Wash hands frequently with soap and water especially after returning from public places or public transport. -Further therapy depends on the cause of fever like urinary infection/typhoid or malaria/dengue infection and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

I am 22 years old I cause back pain in serve days I get some pain relif spray and the pain kellae4 tablet but the pain was not relif what medicine I will take.

I understand your pain. Rather than taking medicines I would recommend you to go for some exercises and back care home which will give you relief. If still pain does not persists than go for xray or ct to rule out the reason for pain. In case of back pain please make sure for the following things: 1. Dnt bend forward, if required first bend you knees and then move forward. 2. Dnt lean while sitting. 3 dnt over stress your muscles. 4. Take healthy and nutritious diet, avoid junk food at least for some days like food that include citrus acid, soya sauce etc. 5. While sleeping try to sleep on sidelying position with pillow under your knee (one 90 degree bend on other knee) 6. Avoid liffting heavy object. 7. Perform daily exercises. Perform some basic treatment that can be done at home easily: 1. Take hot/cold fermentation whichever suit you for 15 min thrice a day. 2. As soon as your fermentation ends your muscles will be relax and you will feel more comfortable, then take a rest of 4-5 min and start doing some exercises like straight leg raising, prone on elbow, knee extension, hams and quads stretching, bridging, prone leg raising (hip extension) all these exercises can be done 10 repititions and then you can progress to 15-25 with a set of 2-3. Do not over strain your muscle, exercise at the level of range you start paining. I am sure you will get a relief and no medicine would be required. Get well soon. Regards.

A broken bone or a crack in the commonly known as a fracture. Any bone in the arm can be broken, but common areas for fractures in the arm is wrist, specifically the distal radius, forearm bones (radius and ulna), elbow, humerus and shoulder.

What causes fracture in bones?

  1. Fall: Falling an outstretched hand or elbow is the most common cause of a broken arm.
  2. Sports injuries: Direct blows and injuries on the field or court are a common cause of all types of arm fractures.
  3. Significant trauma: Any of your arm bones can break during a car accident, bike accident or other direct trauma.
  4. Abuse: In children, a broken arm may be the result of child abuse.

How to identify?

An audible snap or cracking sound may be your first indication you've broken an arm.

Signs and symptoms include:

  1. Severe pain, which may increase with movement
  2. Swelling
  3. Bruising
  4. Deformity, such as a bent arm or wrist
  5. Inability to turn your arm from palm up to palm down or vice versa

When to see a doctor?

If you have enough pain in your arm that you can't use it normally, see a doctor right away and do the same for your child. Delay in diagnosis and treatment of a broken arm, especially for children who heal faster than adults do, can lead to poor healing and deformity.

Having joint pain in hips shoulder hands finger and toes. Esr is normal. Blood test seems fine except monocyte count. Monocyte count shows 00. Facing more pain while sitting after doing something or else after waking up from bed in morning. May I know what might be reason of this.

Mean time you can start taking milk wid a pinch of haldi. Tab Arthrella - 2 tabs twice daily. Do sum exercise, jogging, walking etc. Avoid heavy food.
