The main cause of backache is weakness of muscles around spine. You should do hot fomentation and spinal exercises under the guidance of physiotherapist. Avoid forward bending and lifting weights. Get your blood tested for hemogram, sugar, uric acid, thyroid and vitamin D3, to rule out anemia, infection, diabetes, thyroid, gout and vitamin D deficiency. Review after Reports.

Below thumb pain is called De Quervain's disease. It is a painful inflammation of tendons in the thumb that extend to the wrist. It can happen because of overuse, a direct blow to the thumb, repetitive grasping, and certain inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. Gardening, racquet sports, and some workplace tasks may make it worse. Consult a Physiotherapist who will likely recommend that you wear a splint 24 hours a day for 4 to 6 weeks to hold the affected area firm and still. You'll also need to stop doing anything that worsens the condition. You can ice the area to reduce inflammation. If these treatments don’t help, your doctor may recommend surgery.

I have very serious pain in the knee joint. Joint not moving properly. What should I have to do?
I understand you must be suffering from severe pain. Knee joint is very complex joint made by 3 bones - femur, tibia, fibula and knee cap - patella. Several ligaments, cartilage and menisci are covered all around. So pain in knee joint may be due to several reasons and sometimes it is very severe. It may be due to some internal injury like cartilage etc or may be due to deficiency of calcium, vit d or uric acid. So in general I would advise you to please go for proper investigation so that the reason can be diagnosed. In the mean time to get relief from pain and stiffness please follow the physio measures: precautions- 1. Avoid prolong standing. Standing on one leg or running for time being if its painful. 2. Take care while bending your knees, it should not directly strain your joint. 3. Avoid heavy weight lifting. 4. Wear shoes with good arch support, do not wear high -healed shoes. 5. Use the correct positions during activities so that you do not strain your muscles. 6. Try to change your sitting position every 15 min so that it should not give strain on your knees. 7. Avoid sitting on floor with both knees bending. 8. Take diet rich in calcium like milk, dairy products, banana etc which will enhance your calcium and gives you strength. Treatment - 1. Use of cold or hot packs which ever suits you - apply ice or hot pack to the painful area and massage for near about 10 minutes. Make a habit for doing atleast twice a day initially. 2. After this using your thumb massage your knee area gently. 3. Do some knee (quads) isometrics atleast 10-15 times with the hold of 5 -10 seconds. Also you can do some knee strengthening in the mean time. The above treatment will give pain relief and discomfort. In the meantime please contact any physio who will study your daily routine, symptoms, degree of pain etc and accordingly will give you the best treatment plan. Good luck and get well soon.

Most probably you are suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped center in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x- rays before a final decision can be taken. You will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.

Hi apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

When doctor suggest it should be in your favor only. If you do not go for stitch, chances of abortion or early delivery increases. The best judge for your situation is your doctor only.

Hi I can understand your problem. For pain and swelling apply cold pack for 20 min. Thrice a day for 5 days. There are various reasons for hip pain and there are different non surgical treatment options for same in physiotherapy. Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x twice daily. Bhujang Asana x twice daily. Back Stretching.

Yes you can play normally but before that you need proper rest for a month following proper physiotherapy you need at least 8-12 weeks of recovery time before playing.

You have to eat smaller meals 5-6 meals per day and take lots of fruits and vegetables ; do exercises early morning take vit b rich fruits take bakery foods to increase your weight and ofcourse all foods in proper rda quantity.

Reduce your weight. Avoid squatting and cross leg sitting. Start hot saline fomentation followed by volini gel and knee exercises. Plant stem cell is herbal product which give very good results in your case.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

what is the severity of pain? is the pain continous or intermittent? is it pulsating? since pain is a complex phenomenon, there are many treatment options medications, therapies, and mind-body techniques. Apart from pain killers, there is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. A therapeutic diet complemented with few medications for pain management can also work wonders. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Proper diagnosis is essential. Most probably she has osteoarthritis. Get X rays of knees AP view while Standing on single leg ie Right leg, lateral view of knee and skyline view of patella. Same x rays for opposite side are helpful for Diagnosis. Review after X rays. Or visit some knee specialist. Dr Prashant Parate. Shoulder and Knee specialist.
