Being packed with protein, calcium, and fats, cheese helps obtain healthy weight gain. One serving of cheese can give enough calories to your body. It really tastes delicious. Choose cottage cheese as it contains high quality protein ‘casein’, which takes time to digest, and thus, results in weight gain. For quick result, eat it before bed time.

Hello, The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points ( if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day.Protein shakes will help you to gain muscle mass, particularly if you're working out. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. This is where protein shakes and bars really come in handy. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos., both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 1month.

You have to do heavy weights, 10 repetitions and 3 sets. Go to gym on alternate days with saturday and sunday as rest days. Do chest and back on monday, biceps and triceps on wednesday and legs on friday. Always remember to stretch your body before and after training to relax muscles. Take in diet, milk, curd, paneer, soybean chunks three times a week in vegetables. Follow this and give feedback.

Thrice a day, half an hour before meals. 2. Calcarea phos 200, 5 drops , once in aweek , morning empty stomach for 2 weeks. Taake BC No. 27, 5 tabs , twice daily. 3. Take eggs, milk, butter, bananas, potatoes, mangoes, figs, oats, soyabean and dry fruits. 4. do light exercises regularly to keep your body active. Hye, thankyou for your query. Feeling energetic every day can dramatically improve your quality of life. Feeling more energetic every day is a goal you can fulfill by incorporating changes in diet, exercise and lifestyle. 1. Avoid processed foods. Wholesome foods are a better choice than processed foods because they contain more nutrition and healthy vitamins. Wholesome foods—which are rich in nutrients include raw or cooked fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, unsalted nuts, lean meats, fresh fish or shellfish, eggs, low-fat milk, plain yogurt, and low-fat cheese. 2. Maintain a balanced diet. Keep in mind the importance of wholesome foods and make sure your diet is well-balanced. A balanced diet will promote optimum nutrition and help you feel more energetic every day. Let wholesome fruits and vegetables make up half your diet. Eat the amount of grains that corresponds to your age, sex, and level of activity. 3. Be careful not to overeat. While it is important to ensure you are eating a balanced diet of wholesome foods, it is also important to control your portions when you eat. Overeating makes your feel tired and listless. Avoid binge eating. Avoid nighttime heavy eating. 4. Avoid false energy. There are many products that claim to give you energy when you consume them, but they do not always deliver. Even if they do give you energy, the effects are often short-lived. Example, coffee, tea or chocolates. 5. Opt for natural remedies and avoid medications and supplements unless you are deficient in some nutrient. 6. Exercise on a daily basis to feel energetic every day. Even though you may feel too tired to exercise, taking the initiative to get active can actually give you more energy. 7. Drink water to stay hydrated. Keeping yourself hydrated by drinking water throughout the day is an important way to avoid fatigue and low energy levels. 8. Get on a regular sleep schedule. A proper sleep schedule is crucial to having sufficient energy throughout the day. 9. Get help if you feel overwhelmingly fatigued. If you maintain regular diet and sleep patterns but still feel fatigued, you may need to seek help. You may need to be tested for conditions that often lead to fatigue, such as thyroid disease, depression, anemia, or chronic fatigue syndrome. 10. Avoid stress. Schedule your daily activities. Keeping your life organized is essential to feeling energetic. By preventing as much as stress as possible, you will be able to have time to focus on other fun activities.

Dietitian/Nutritionist,
Dear weakness & tiredness can be due to many reasons such as lack of sleep, hormonal imbalances, lack of antioxidants in diet or certain nutritional deficiencies. So start doing these things. 1. Take proper sleep. 2. Eat balanced diet with all essential nutrients & enough of fruits & vegetables. 3. Take more of antioxidant rich sources in your diet, green tea atleast twice a day or an apple everyday. 4. Take enough of low fat milk & milk products in your diet.

What should my diet to be fit and healthy? As I am a student how much time I should sleep?
Ideal sleep duration is six or seven hours in a day. If not following this duration, then you may follow gradually by 15 minutes change till you can reach the duration of six or seven hours in a day. To be fit and healthy, I personally suggest that you make vegetables and fruits as your daily food habits but it is for you to decide.

Dear Lybrate User, Increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is WHEY protein. But kindly remember only taking supplement is not enough. You need to take those supplements according to a fixed schedule. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout. Kindly remember gaining weight is a time -taking process. So do not expect any result within fortnight.

Potatoes are crammed with carbohydrates. All forms of this stuffy food have major impact on weight gain. You can grill or bake potatoes with butter. People who eat potato chips and French fries tend to gain weight faster. Make French fries using extra virgin oil, if you like them. Moreover, you can also make a delicious potato salad. Peel and slice potato. Boil them and mix them with the high calorie ingredients like buttermilk, mayonnaise, and veggies.
