My wife is suffering from hyperthyroid. After 2 month with regular intake of Neo-Mercazole 5 tablet, it get controlled and normal but the weight still not getting increased. Please let me know Is there any medication required or any food items need to take?

Do not worry, let her body slowly accommodate and improve on its own. Let her concentrate on eating a healthy and balanced diet. Avoid all types of junk food/processed and packaged food and beverages. Have more of natural ( unpolished food ) and also seasonal fruits and vegetables. Being active ( do some exercise or do some yoga every day ) will help in rejuvenation of the mind and body. Please revert after 1-2 months for further evaluation.

I have itching on head because of dandruff and there is some pimples on head because of this I am having hairfall too. Please suggest me as I am felling irritating from this. My hairs were very heavy but at this time they are very weak

Hi, because of fungal infection on the scalp only you are suffering from this problem. We have an excellent medicines in homoeopathy to cure this problem permanently. Is this dandruff oily or powdary form?

It’s better to avoid using glycolic peel because of tendency of rashes in future while going in direct sunlight

The black spots on your skin can be due to Sunlight and Traffic Pollution.Continuous exposure leads to production of increased Melanin pigments on the exposed areas resulting in the formation of black spots on exposed areas.Carbon particles in the traffic related areas bind themselves to Arylhydrocarbon receptors (Ahr) on our skin surface ,which are found in both Keratinocytes and Melanocytes.The carbon particles themselves ,especially when they are in Nano form,can penetrate into the skin and activate an inflammation related signaling cascade.This is not exactly proven scientifically but there is surely a visible relation between Traffic pollution,Ageing and Black spots on skin.It is presently just a speculation that when Ahr receptor is stimulated,it could be increasing Melanin production and this is how there is formation of Black pigment spots on Exposed areas. To overcome this problem follow the below given steps. 1.Drink plenty of water and always carry water bottle while travelling. 2.Always use a good Sunscreen on exposed areas 30 minutes before initiating a travel.Preferably use Homoeopathic BAKSON’s SUNCARE CREAM. 3.Apply a good Antipigment cream on the black areas at night preferably Homoeopathic WHITENING CREAM ( BIOVALLEY) Apply in circular fashion at night. Natural Ways to get rid of these black spots 1. Lemon Juice Lemon juice has bleaching properties that can help get rid of brown spots. Plus, it helps maintain soft, clear and beautiful skin. • Simply apply fresh lemon juice directly on the affected area. Leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. Repeat this remedy twice daily for about two months to notice positive results. If you have sensitive skin, dilute the lemon juice with water, rose water or honey. • Another option is to mix enough sugar in lemon juice to make a paste and use it as a scrub on your face, especially on your brown spots. Finally, rinse it off after 5 to 10 minutes. Do this a few times a week. You can also add some oilve oil in this recipe. 2. Buttermilk Buttermilk contains lactic acid that helps exfoliate the skin to remove blemishes and brown spots without drying out your skin.Apply buttermilk on your brown spots using a cotton ball. Leave it on for a few minutes before washing the area with water. If you have oily skin or acne, you can also add some lemon juice to the buttermilk. Another option is to mix four teaspoons of buttermilk and two teaspoons of tomato juice together and then apply this mixture on the affected skin.

I am thin how develop my body and which fruit juice good for me for increasing body weight.
For weight gain have frequent meals (every 2-3 hrs) including foods that re low in volume but high in energy & nutrient density- cheese, paneer, nut & fruit milkshake, oilseeds, whole egg, chicken, fish, soybean/tofu, premix, malt., fresh fruit juice (mango/bel), sugarcane juice. Have cow/buffalo milk & its products, white bread with peanut butter, potato, white rice with ghee, atta-maida roti with ghee. Include plenty of vegetables in form of puree, chutney, incorporated within dishes. Drink 3 litres water daily. Practice strength exercises to increase lean body mass & appetite.

Obesity - 5 Ayurvedic Remedies For It!

Ayurveda, translated into science of life and longevity, has been practiced in India for more than 5000 years old and has gained worldwide popularity. It uses noninvasive and natural methods and produces minimal side effects and therefore is being widely accepted.

Ayurveda believes that the body is made of pitta, vata, and kapha systems (or doshas) and diseases are due to imbalance between these or predominance of one over the others. Obesity for instance is believed to be due to kapha predominance, leading to excessive eating and thereby obesity. There are various herbs (listed below) that are used in treatment of weight loss, and they all act by burning more fat and improving natural metabolism.

  1. Vrikshamla (Garcinia cambogia): Known commonly as brindle berry or mangosteen oil tree, or malabar tamarind, this helps to reduce triglycerides and control cholesterol.  It also suppresses appetite and inhibits lipogenesis (conversion of sugars to fat)
  2. Licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra): Licorice has been widely accepted as an anti-obesity herb, especially in reducing abdominal fat. It acts by reducing the amount of triglyceride in the liver and blood. It also contain flavonoids which slow down oxidation of fatty acids.
  3. Ginger (Zingiber Officinale): An herb with varied medicinal properties, ginger has a multitude of health benefits. It promotes weight loss by lowering cholesterol and reducing fat accumulation.  It also regulates metabolism of cholesterol and oxidation of fatty acids.
  4. Kalonji (Nigella Sativa): During clinical trials, the seed extract of Kalonji has been shown to improve body mass index and lead to better waist-hip ratios.
  5. Myrhh (Commiphora Resin): The bark of the flowering mukul myrhh tree produces a sticky, yellowish resin that has been identified to be a steroid compound. It is harvested in winters and considered to act on all 3 doshas and provide an equilibrium in the body. Commonly known as guggul, it translates to "one that protects against disease. That in a way sums up its medicinal properties. In obese people, it helps by lowering blood cholesterol and triglylcerides and is considered a very powerful fat burner.

It is proven that Ayurveda is a safe method to help you lose weight.  Also, please note that each of these above products will have benefits in other medical conditions and not used only in obesity cases.  In addition to the above specific products, there should be a combination of healthy eating and exercise, which primarily drives weight loss. Balancing eating and sleeping to homegenise the three doshas in the body is also very important for effective weight loss. Increasing water intake, reducing alcohol intake, planning protein-carb ratio, and customized exercise routine are are aspects to be considered. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ayurveda.
