I have some small and medium scars on my forearms and legs. They are flat old scars. I have been using glyceric acid cream (12%) and eraser ayurvedic cream. But there has not been any improvement, especially on forearms. The scars are dark brown in colour. I have also tried hydroquinone cream which was recommended to me by a dermatologist. However, there has not been any change on the appearance of scars. What would be the best treatment. I am concerned aesthetically as I am a woman. I have also tried home remedies like applying lemon peen and aloe vera sap.

Hello lybrate-user I completely understand your concern. Scars can be very frustrating specially in the exposed areas. Scars are of different types and according to the type they can be easy/difficult to treat. So I need to see your scars first and then suggest the appropriate treatment. You can consult me online for that. Mean while you can use any Vitamin E based cream for the scars and use a sunscreen regularly. Take care :)

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. There is nothing to worry much about this. SOME women just do not bleed a lot, and it is normal. As long as you have a regular cycle of bleeding, which you DO appear to have, your fertility is fine. You just so happen to not bleed very much. If you do not have regular periods, for most of your previous life, you should consult a gynecologist in person. Take care.

It could be due to fungal infection 1. Apply panderm plus ointment twice daily for (1-2 week) 2.. Take one tablet of levocetrizine(5mg) at bed time if itching is severe 3.Thoroughly dry the area after taking bath and keep it dry and sweat free. Apply candid powder in the affected area 4.Use loose cotton under wear instead of tight synthetic one 5. Change the under wear daily and use clean and washed one 6.Maintain personal hygiene 7.consult doctor for further advice

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can take safi. Try for some days if it suits you. Apart from that you can follow some tips - use tea tree face wash and toner twice daily. Use aha glow face wash daily use sunscreen with spf 30 daily. Use natural face pack of multani mitti and lemon 2 times a week. You can also use apple cider vinegar with mother for 5 mins after washing your face and splash it clean with water. Most important is diet- do not eat junk, eat more vegetables and fruits especially with vitamin c.

HI, Take Sepia 30, 3 drops once daily in the morning for 10 days. Use this home remedy:- *Orange and curd mixture works well on dark damaged tanned skin. Any breast lump may be a sign of cancer. But not all breast lumps are cancerous. So you need to show it to a breast surgeon or oncologist to get it evaluated. If it is non cancerous or fibroadenoma then you may safely keep it under observation provided it is small. Other non cancerous tumors like phylloides tumor require removal of the lump.

I am aged 58 years. Upto the age of 25 used to cycle every day for not less than 4-5 kms per day. Now I am cycling 5-7 kms per day for body fitness. Every day, In the starting used to get leg pain, above knees, not unbearable. However, after 1-2 kms there will not be any pain. Can I cycle every day like this. I am 85 kgs weight. I also used to play cricket from my child hood to the age of 25 and from 25 years of age till 51 years of age used to play Table Tennis.

Its excellent to hear that you have been keeping active even at the age of 58. Well done, indeed! Unless you have persistent pain around your knee or hip you have nothing to worry.
