To relieve neck pain try some home remedies: alternate heat and cold: reduce inflammation by applying cold, such as an ice pack or ice wrapped in a towel, for up to 20 minutes several times a day. Or alternate the cold treatment with heat. Try taking a warm shower or using a heating pad on the low setting. Home exercises: begin daily gentle stretching, including neck rolls and shoulder rolls, once the worst of your pain has subsided. Gently tilt, bend and rotate your neck. Warm your neck and back with a heating pad or in the shower or bath before doing these exercises. See a physical therapist who can instruct you in doing these exercises. Most neck pain is associated with poor posture combined with age-related wear and tear. To help prevent neck pain, keep your head centered over your spine. Some simple changes in your daily routine may help. Consider trying to: use good posture. When standing and sitting, be sure your shoulders are in a straight line over your hips and your ears are directly over your shoulders. Take frequent breaks. If you travel long distances or work long hours at your computer, get up, move around and stretch your neck and shoulders. Adjust your desk, chair and computer so that the monitor is at eye level. Knees should be slightly lower than hips. Use your chair's armrests. Avoid tucking the phone between your ear and shoulder when you talk. Use a headset or speakerphone instead. Avoid carrying heavy bags with straps over your shoulder. The weight can strain your neck. Sleep in a good position. Your head and neck should be aligned with your body. Use a small pillow under your neck. Try sleeping on your back with your thighs elevated on pillows, which will flatten your spinal muscles. Best wishes.

Hi I have problem whenever I drink water I frequently urge to go to washroom which is very irritating. And I have lots of pain in my neck.

It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform. Rule out diabetes.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and mannual therapy will help in painfree movement. Best wishes.

I am a 26 year old female. I have backpain for last 3 months. It is in little bit right side of back bone. I consulted an ortho and he told there is a swelling in between the joint and I took pills for 2 weeks. But its still paining. What should I do. Whether I have to take some xray or scan. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am 53, (1) recently got spondylitis on right shoulder. I have to work on computer for hours together. (2) my middle and 2nd finger, middle joint is paining when pressed.

It is of cervical spondylitis and meta carpal syndrome so do have clinically examined by neuro physiotherapist or orthopaedician asap and have physiotherapy treatment of tens of 12 days of 15 minutes duration and learn stretching exercise for cervical shoulder elbow wrist joints and do it regularly for 15 minutes per day once pain subsides or consult me privately via lybrat. I am 68 year old. Since last six months I am feeling numbness in my left foot. Though I was diagnosed diabetic 5 years ago when I was operated for bypass surgery for my heart. Apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot fomentation twice a day. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 after lunch and dinner. Avoid fermented food. Spicy food. Junk food. Eat green vegetables. Fuits. Drink minimum 7-8 glass of water everyday. Sleep for 7 hrs minimum. Do pranayama early morning. And do exercises.

Hello if you r running or standing or your doing more step activity or any jurky movment to your knee than stop doing all stuff take rest for 3, 4 days put ice pack over knee and aply dolentia relex gel after if pain relives than start doing some good knee strengthening exercises if pain dosent reduce than visit to physiotherapy center and take ift over that pain part.

This is d alarming sign. Take some rest, stop any kind of forward bending activities, do not delay to move to your near by physio for d proper assessment and treatment.

Requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Is Homeopathy a Cure for Juvenile Arthritis?

Juvenile arthritis also known as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and is a chronic, systematic and inflammatory disease, which causes damage to joints or damages of connective tissues. Symptoms include fever, rashes and hepato-spleenomegaly. This disease is persistent and  inflammatory in nature and occurs before the age of sixteen. Homeopathy is widely used to cure juvenile arthritis. Here is a list of the best homeopathic medicines used to treat juvenile arthritis along with the symptoms based on which they are prescribed.

  1. Abrotanum: This homeopathic medicine is used when a child is suffering from juvenile arthritis and is unable to move. Symptoms include soreness and paleness and the condition worsens in the morning. Gouts may occur in the wrists or ankles. Inflammatory rheumatism is indicated before the start of swelling. Marasmus of children may occur signified by marked emaciation, especially in the leg. The skin tends to hang loose and gets flabby. Constipation and diarrhea occur.
  2. Aconite: Aconite is a homeopathic remedy, which is used in arthritis where there is tearing pain in the limbs. Violent pulls in the joints and bones are experienced. Contraction of the tendons and feeling stiff in the flexor muscles are other symptoms.  Cramps affect several limbs. Aconite is used in early stages of juvenile arthritis. Atmospheric changes affect the patient, and dark hair, and eyes are developed. The muscle fibres becomes rigid.
  3. Apis: Apis is used in oedematous swellings and synovitis. The knee gets swollen, sensitive, sore and shiny along with stinging pain. The feet also swell and feel extra large. There is a rheumatic pain in the backside and in the limbs. The fingertips and hands become numb, and the patient is tired. Glands are enlarged or indurated.
  4. Arsenicum Album: This homeopathic medicine is used in juvenile arthritis where the patient experiences acute pain in the arms and hands. The pain begins from the elbow and extends to the armpits. There is an acute, pulling and shooting sensation in the  wrists. The fingers swell as well along with pain in the finger bones. Cramps occur in the legs and swelling is felt in the palms at night. The hips experience acute pain as well, which extends to the thighs, groins and ankle bones. 
  5. Belladona: Belladona is used for joint and bone pains.  The pains generally increase at night and during the afternoon. Any kind of movement or touch leads to aggravation in the pain. Palpitations in muscles are caused. Cramps, spasms and movements which are convulsive are indicated.

Homeopathy is an ideal remedy for treatment of juvenile arthritis. Homeopathy being purely natural has no side effects and puts a check on all underlying causes of juvenile arthritis.

Swelling on face and foot is not a good symptom. You may suffering from kidney disease, cardiac problem or severe anaemia. You need a proper check up to diagnose the problem.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

You should get X-ray/MRI done.and see a orthopedic,it could be disc bulge.Take rest and some anti-inflammatory medicine as the doctor advices.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1.Rhus Tox 30 ( 4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week 2.Calci Aid ( Bakson) ( 2tabs) thrice a day for a week and revert. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.
