Drink 2-3 glass of water in the morning empty stomach, and 3-4 litres of water during the day daily. Walk for minimum 5 minutes. You may also mix two spoons of isabgol in a glass of warm milk and drink it just before you go to bed. It will help. Thank You

First of all check kft test if you seen heigh value than reduction of salt, pickle, sauces, chutney, papad, yellow butter and lemon or coconut water. These all food stuff will helpful for dropping swelling.

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day..

My question is, I am feeling lower back pain from one week, when I sit I feel relax but when I walk I feel some pain not severe I can bend down not so much pain .I can do any thing .I also go gym doing some stretches from one week .my pain starts when I take Ayurvedic medi. For energy name sexveda in this this med. The ingredients are 1.swarm bhasam, rajat bhasam, tamra bhasam, kounch ext, shatavari ext, saved Muslim, ashvagandha,akarkara .this med. I take only 20 days now I stopped .I have doubt that this med. Is not right for me pls. Tell me is my back pain due this med. Or some thing else.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. The most common cause of elbow pain I see on a daily basis is from overuse or repetitive movements. Eventually small tears can begin accumulating in the surrounding tendons, which may cause inflammation and pain. First and foremost, the best way to treat elbow pain & shoulder pain is to find the source of the pain and eliminate it at least temporarily. If you continue to do what caused the pain in the first place it is safe to say that the pain will linger. Here are few strategies to help you mitigate, or even eliminateelbow pain: 1> stretch your elbow & wrist flexors: you extend your elbow and wrist and gently use your opposite hand to pull them into greater extension. 2> supplement with omega-3s: this can help with the reduction of swelling and formation of scar tissue in your elbows. The other option would be to get more omega-3s in your diet is from fish, walnuts, flax seeds and chia seeds. Drop a feedback if you found it helpful. Good luck!

When muscles are torn, they have to be repaired by surgery. These muscles are called rotator cuff muscles. Supraspinatus, infraspinatus and subscapularis are main along with teres minor. Muscles are like rubber in tension. If they get torn, torn ends move away from each other and natural healing is not possible. More you delay the surgery, more difficult it becomes to repair the torn part. This surgery can be done best by well trained shoulder specialist orthopedic surgeon only. Please don't go to general physician or even orthopaedic surgeon without speciality in shoulder surgery.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Your knee pain could be due to certain reasons but common ones are chondromalacia, pain due to knee instability, inflammation etc. If there is no history of any injury, and no s/s of inflammation or infection, then I will like to advise you for conservative management initially in form of intensive physical therapy, anti inflammatory medications, calcium and vitamin supplementation, ice packs at home and see how it goes for around 2 weeks time. If your condition does not improve, then we will have to get certain tests done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Do hot fomentation keep a pillow under the legs at night &/when resting. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do ankle/foot & toe exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

Kindly show me digital x rays of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Normal level of vit d is between between 20-50ng/ml. A level less than 20 ng/ml indicates vitamin d deficiency. 1. Expose yourself to sunlight for 15-20 minutes daily in the morning 2. Take milk, cheese, egg yolk, fish (salmon/mackerel/ trout/sardines/tuna) cod liver oil, mushroom, cereals, orange juice. 3. If you have deficiency of vitamin d you have to take vitamin d supplement 60000iu/week fo r 3 months after consulting physician.

Using HEAT and COLD THERAPY for Muscle and Joint pains.
Using heat and cold therapy for muscle and joint pains.

Both heat and cold therapy can help. It may take some trial and error to find out which works best for you.

How does heat therapy help reduce swelling and pain?
Heat dilates (opens up) blood vessels, stimulates blood circulation and reduces muscle spasms.

At home you can try dry heat such as heating pads or moist heat such as warm baths or heated moist towels.

How does cold therapy help reduce swelling and pain?
Cold works differently, it constricts (closes blood vessels) then opens them up again closes and opens up. This alternate closing and opening cycle of blood vessels drains out swelling and toxins from that area. At home you can use ice packs with covers or traditional ice bags or ice cubes in a plastic bag with proper covers so its not too cold.

Both heat and cold should be used very carefully only when sensations are normal otherwise it can cause burns or damage to skin and tissues.

Professional health care providers such as physiotherapists use moist heat, deep heat such as ultrasound therapy and cold therapy along with joint and tissue mobilizations, specific stretching and strengthening exercises, customized tips about improving posture, ergonomics, sleeping habits for long lasting relief from pain.
