Anxiety and worries can do anything to your health. Be practical why and what your thinking of? If there is any problem in your life then there is way to get out of it. Try to find that way rather than thinking negative thing. Negativity is the main cause of any problem. Soo start think positive. Take deep breath for 10-15 min. Walk regularly in the morning. Do whatever you like the best. Listen soft instrumental song. Call your old friend. Just go away from the routine daily life. Meditation is very much needed. Contact me through Lybrate. I will tell you what to do.

I am suffering from Neurofibromatosis about 20 years. It's treatment is possible or not.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
There is no known treatment or cure for neurofibromatosis. However, growths can usually be removed surgically or reduced with radiation therapy. When growths are close to a nerve, surgery often requires removing the nerve as well.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have to elaborate your symptoms as to whats been the duration of back pain, leg pain and numbness in legs. Since you have neuropathic symptoms as well, I will like you to: 1) get a detailed neurological ( motor and sensory examination) done by a physical therapist and send it to me 2) mri ls spine 3) x ray ls spine ap & lateral - flexion and extension views we will have to see the compression because we cannot allow this numbness to remain there for a long time, as it indicates that there is compression and inflammation in nerve at spine region. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

My friend male age 27ys been diagnosed with cervical and pinched nerve problem. Also in his MRI disc buldges are also...
Dear lybrate user, pinched nerve also called disc herniation, if in neck then also called cervical radiculopathy. The treatment depends on current pain, extent of compression and grade of herniation. If it is mild protrusion without neuropathy then conservative management should be sufficient. Many times it is not, then image guided epidural advised for immediate relief, modulation of nerves and disc. If there is bigger protrusion or protrusion with neuropathy, you might be advised nucleoplasty or endoscopic discectomy and in advanced stage of herniation open spine surgery advised. What you can do is consult interventional pain specialist trained with advancement or orthopedician trained in spine for evaluation and further treatment. Regards.

My child is having minor Epilepsy. He is taking Keppra 250 daily twice. Since November 2014. Since he started taking medicine. He is fine. I just want to know that now almost 1 and a half year is being completed. So should I continue this medicine or should I go to doctor again to confirm.

MD Paediatrics, MBBS
Pediatrician, Hyderabad
Your neurologist should be able to answer your query well, initially you need to reduce the dosage and see, if no seizures you can further reduce the dose and gradually taper the dose and stop. Ifno epileptic attacks. Also get an eeg done.

Hi doctor, I have epilpsy problem and undergoing medication (taking epilex crono 300mg daily) just want to know for any permanent solution and root cause of this and preventive steps to be taken. Thank you in advance.

MBBS, MD - Medicine, DM - Neurology
Neurologist, Ghaziabad
First you should get evaluated for the cause of epilepsy. It will require investigation like mri brain (with epilepsy protocol) and eeg. You may require further investigation based upon the results of above. Minimum dose of medication you are taking depends upon the weight of patient. If you are a adult, this does is less for you. Its better to consult a neurologist for proper management and treatment.
